I've been a customer here for about seven years, But after today? Absolutely never again. I picked up my food at 3:38 PM on 11/12/2025. Got home, sat down to eat, and found maggots in my food. Yes, maggots. I have pictures and the receipt, so there's no confusion. When I called, they tried to tell me the maggots "came from the broccoli" and offered to remake my food or give me something later. As if I'm about to eat anything else from a place that sent me home with bugs. Be serious. I asked for a refund, and suddenly they "don't do refunds." So I asked where that policy was posted because it sure wasn't anywhere. That's when the attitude kicked in. Only after questioning it did they magically decide to give me my money back. Then the woman had the nerve to tell me that I'm the problem... after THEY served literal maggots. I've never had a real issue other than the one time they made my order wrong and I simply asked them to remake what I actually paid for. Always have been nice and respectful so imagine over the course of 7 years I've calculated at least spending 10k at this place to be called a problem for wanting my $15 back. Overall we thought the food was just mediocre. Ok for a quick hotel dinner after a long day of travel, but nothing to specifically seek out. Veggie Delight: actual veggie portion was decent, but the sauce was a little too sweet for my liking. Came with fried rice, which was a little worse than average. Beef Udon: better than the chow mein. Chewy noodles. Pretty good! Beef Chow Mein: kind of artificial flavor and was extremely oily. Egg Drop & Wonton Soup: heavy MSG flavor and very thick. We have been here many times, and never dissatisfied with the food. Always hot always tasty and just what we ordered. We always order takeout and have never eaten inside the restaurant part. So although I've had way better in NJ, I'm comparing Jiang Jun to other Chinese restaurants in the Jackson, TN area. Most are pretty bad, so Jiang Jun was a nice surprise. Eggrolls: small but good Fried potstickers: Robust filling, but dried out from overcooking. Accompanied sauce, bland. Fried rice: Better than any other in Jackson. Hot & Sour soup: Has a bite, but a terrible soup. Also way to gloppy. Wonton Soup: Broth is good. Wontons were mushy. Honey chicken: Nice sweet flavor, but tough because over cooked. I will return, because there isn't much else to choose from. So I'll just limit my purchases to items that I find above par. read more

What a gem! We were staying at a local hotel and looking for a place for dinner and luckily we ended up here. The ambiance is inviting, which is hard to find these days in casual dining restaurants. Ever single employee we encountered was so friendly, and the service couldn't have been better. Everything we ate was really good but I especially recommend the Pad Thai. The egg roll was served with dipping sauces which I just loved. They also have a dedicated sushi bar! You get a lot of great food for a reasonable amount of money. I wonder if you pronounce this Wing Wong. I'm not great with phonetics. I'm also not great with eastern cuisine, but I am a leading expert in things I like and I have years of experience in my background. If you are wondering how authentic this food is, you may want to consult someone with more knowledge. I'll go out on a limb though and say that this is probably not it, but I liked it and that's all that matters. Well that and the fact that Buddha loves me. There are certain people in this world who are super cheap and will scrimp and cheat and go out of their way to save a penny. I've learned a few ways to tell if we're dealing with a cheapskate. Well friends, this is NOT that place. I immediately noticed how nice it is inside. Every little detail was perfected by a paid professional. This is not the do it yourself restauranteur. For a casual atmosphere, they spared no expense. I sat at the bar and I especially liked the bar stools. They have a spring in them like a barber's chair. They also have a top end sushi display case. The ceiling is painted, and every other detail is classy. Not over the top, just nice. Another area they don't skimp in was the food. The lunch specials for chicken were $5.49. They put a little bit of chicken in the fried rice. Not a big deal, but most lunch special fried rice is completely devoid of any meat. Also the eggroll had some pork in it. Normally lunch special egg rolls are just cabbage. I am absolutely certain those egg rolls were prepared fresh in house that very morning. Also, serving it with the sauces was a nice touch. There's a couple things I don't know where you can get elsewhere for just a cheap lunch special. It wasn't an ungodly amount of food, but it was a lot for the price. You have to choose between eggroll, soup, or salad, but again, $5.49 is cheap. I like to eat, so I also ordered a philly roll. It wasn't the best, not even close, but it was good. The General T'so or General Zongtang as I like to call it was pretty good. Again, probably not the best, but I was pleased with it. One thing worth mentioning was that the sweet tea tasted awful. The aftertaste of it reminded me of the smell you have in a damp, musty basement. I had them switch for a Coke which tasted fine. I'm curious if they tried the tea for themselves and discarded it after my complaint. Otherwise it was a good lunch and I definitely got my money's worth. read more

I really wanted to like this place because the hostess and our waitress were so friendly and inviting. That was the good part. My boyfriend and I have eaten both Chinese and Japanese dishes all over the map. But, the dish we ordered at this restaurant was actually a Thai dish (Pad Thai) and it was made simply with noodles with a sauce that is made for a broccoli beef dish. Although we did ask for it to be spicy, it was still bland. We both ordered a cup of hot and sour soup and it was mild as well, almost tasting like an egg drop soup. Perhaps they are "Americanizing" the dishes to make them appeal more to the locals. But, service was great and very friendly.
