I didn't like my experience there at all. The manager seemed frustrated and impatient while talking to me and he seemed to me that he didn't want to be informative with me as I was a customer asking him questions about the service I was looking to get. My car is still doing the same thing it was doing before I paid $119.99 for a tire balance there today. When I go to the Jiffy Lube on W Colonial and I am greeted and treated fairly by the store manager who goes by the name Carlo. At W Colonial location it's a completely different and satisfying experience there. At Carlos' location I am ensured visually that my car is getting the service that I'm paying for. The Jiffy Lube in Altamonte has very poor customer service. I went to W Colonial yesterday and Altamonte today and have store receipts from both to prove it. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube in Altamonte Springs for an oil change and they told me that I needed 4 new tires. And the right front tire was going to blow. I had another mechanic look at the car and the tread on 3 of the tires is fine. Also, when the oil change was finished, the tire pressure on the right front tire was now too low. It was not like that when I drove in. I asked them to put air in that tire and they said that they couldn't do that because if they did, the tire would blow out. Actually, the low tire pressure will make the tire blow out and is very dangerous. I used to take my car to Altamonte Automotive and they had great reviews and were very honest. Now that Jiffy Lube has taken over their repair shop, I don't feel like I can trust anything that Jiffy Lube in Altamonte does, and I was a loyal customer of Altamonte Automotive for years. read more

My daughter purchased a new tire there 4 days ago. Her second time driving it the tire just exploded and shredded. She hit nothing and there was no hazard in the roadway. It was a defective tire. We contacted the store and was told it wasn't their problem and she had to buy a new tire since she didn't purchase insurance. Came in for a standard oil change a few days ago. The service was quick enough and a good deal with the $15 online coupon considering the typical Jiffy Lube quality of service. I spoke with one of the gents when pulling in to say that the front left tire needed air, he said he would take a look. As air and fluids top-offs as well as vacuuming is included it required no announcement. I departed to find the air was in fact not filled. I called to let the man who checked me out know and he apologiezed and asked me to return if I was close, I did and the air was filled but it was clear they never checked. After leaving again I noticed they also did not vacuum as promised, no point in even calling again. The man who cashed me out I presume is the manager and checked all boxes on the screen as well as 3 different men that worked on the car, it was hardly an oversight but overt laziness. read more

I went here yesterday for an oil change because it was highly recommended for being quick but truth be told, my visit was less than satisfactory. After driving out from Maitland to Altamonte AND during my lunch break so to speak, I was told that I couldn't get it done because of some annoying sputtering sound on my engine, and this all was said with a lack of concern. Basically, "just leave because this would be a waste of our time". Aside from that some of their employees were just rude. Never again, and if I do end up at a Jiffy Lube a second time in the future it won't be at that location. Because neither air filter was from my Honda which has less than 15K miles on it. this jiffy lube location is located at 420 s.r. 434 north, altamonte springs, florida 32714 on 1/23/23 i drove my excellent running car to jiffy lube for an oil change. took the employees recommendation on the oil and he showed me a so called dirty air filter and i allowed him to sell me another one. about 15 minutes later the manager calls me to his window and tells me i need a new valve cover gasket and with labor it will only cost me $471.78. please note, my car was thoroughly worked on a short time before and was in excellent running condition, which i can have verified. now through incompetence or scam, the techs fouled up the engine and the car would start, then started but kept stalling, engine light is on and, almost no acceleration, the car was basically and is undriveable! they used a computer to diagnose the problem and said it was the sensors and they would replace them. after being ignored for almost 2 hours, i ask one one of the techs when it would be finished and was told those parts are no longer available, but he would talk to the main office and it will be taken care of. almost 2 hours later the manager presented me with a bogus explanation including a diagram as to why the car won't run. he presents me with a bill of $3,240 to fix it. he said the whole engine needed to be taken apart or totally replaced, which he could do. in disgust, i asked him if there was any chance i could make it home with the car as i'm just several miles away. he says may be if you keep your foot on the accelerator. with much stalling, chugging, smoking and my emergency lights on, i got it home an hour and one half later. the next day i had a mobile mechanic look at the problem and using his computer, he said: no problem, it's just the solenoid. he got the part installed it and the car runs like before. total cost with labor, part and getting it: $315.00. i was being scammed by jiffy lube. i'm 78 years old and although my car was not brand new, they figured i'd fall for their reprehensible scam. there are laws against defrauding a senior citizen with very serious consequences i will report this scam to the appropriate state agencies, also to aarp that jiffylube be black listed. this practice of theirs can't continue. our governor in florida takes special interest in reports of elderly abuse and outright consumer fraud and governor desantis will be notified! i have complete documentation and corroboration and what had ensued. like share read more

I took my wife's SUV for an oil change and spotted that SAAB next to it. As a SAAB owner myself I worry about seen a SAAB at this location. I observed and listened the tech's talking and working around the car. They didn't have a clue where the oil filter is located on the vehicle or which oil to use. I see the bad reviews, but I've been here multiple times without any problems. They have conventional oil though they do always try to convince me to get synthetic (sometimes I'm convinced). They do try to sell me stuff I don't (think I) need. However, this is no different than any other oil change place or the Lexus dealership...except about 1/3 the price of taking my car back to the dealership. Untrustworthy and unreliable. These mechanics are crooked and will do whatever it takes to get as much money as they can. My best friend and I who are young women went to this establishment with a coupon for an oil change. She had a coupon for $10 off and asked for a normal oil change. We waited until they were done, and they informed her that they had finished up and she went to pay. The total was $40, which is WAY more than it should have been in the first place and when she asked why it was so much they told her they had to do something extra which they did NOT ask her about at all, and they said that it was synthetic. She did not argue because she didn't know anything about cars and paid for it. SO, as if being charged $40 for a regular run of the mill oil change WITH A COUPON was not enough, two days later we were on vacation and about to head back on the road and the oil cap fell off! We went to turn the car on and it said to turn it off immediately. This place performed an oil change and tire rotation on my car at least eight times in a row. From about 10,000 miles to about 45,000 miles. So no other person or company worked on the car ever. The very last time that I had my oil changed and tires rotated, I was told that one lug bolt is stripped, and it will cost me $60 to have it fixed. He actually took me for a fool by telling me that lugs get stripped by just taking wheels off and putting them back on a bunch of times. A car expert friend laughed when I told him this. So this store manager actually thought I should pay $60 for the mistake made by his incompetent low paid worker made! I will never patronize any Jiffy Lube again! read more

I have been a long time jiffy lube user, this location was not only the worst experience i have had at any jiffy lube but was down right criminal. After i agreed to they're high end oil that they sold me on at $75, they changed the oil in my SUV and at the checkout said the total was $115. They claimed that there were multiple extra charges for removal of caps and other erroneous things. I told the "manager" I did not agree to that price prior to them changing my oil and how unprofessional it is to tell someone a price then complete the job and request more money, and with his room temperature IQ he was having trouble grasping this concept. Went to get a brake job that Stefen had offered during a previous oil change. After informing me that the rotors would need to be replaced, IN TIME, he went ahead and replaced the pads as agreed. After one and a half months, I brought the car back for the store to fix the constant brake squealing that began after they replaced the pads. After again, informing me that the rotors would need to be replaced, IN TIME, Stefen informed me the brakes were fixed and that if the squealing persisted it should go away in a few weeks. After giving the benefit of the doubt, and allowing for a NUMBER of weeks for the squealing to go away, I ultimately went to Aamco to have the brakes worked on properly. Granted, Aamco resurfaced the rotors as well, but Jiffy Lube never informed me the rotors were of such immediate importance. After contacting Jiffy Lube for reimbursement, and speaking with Stefen's manager Mike, they informed me that they would not reimburse my expense as I WAITED TO LONG to address the matter. Waited too long? I first addressed it after only one and a half months or 45 days, well within normal warranties! Mike further stated that he had worked with Stefen for a number of years and that Stefen had no reason to lie that he had informed me of the importance of replacing the rotors immediately and that declining the replacement was against his advice. No reason to lie? How about covering his own A**! Essentially, this implied that I was the one that was lying! So much for customer service! This advice not only was not given to me at the time the job was done, neither the first nor second time, it was purely given to Mike in hindsight for purposes of CYA. Oh well, I can't force them to do something they don't want to do. But, I can advise to SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY if you are thinking of having your brakes done here. My wife ran into a similar brake issue with this store about 6 months ago that also went unfixed after an additional visit for them to remedy the mistake. Low-and-behold, this also had no bearing with Mike. GO ELSEWHERE. You will likely be going elsewhere later anyhow. Save yourself the time and money! read more

So, I spoke with a guy named Ron I believe at least I hope that was his real name he gave me, anyways I called and asked this spot about a rear differential fluid change and gasket change as well, now I do have some knowledge on cars and enough knowledge to at least YouTube some of these things, so I know the labor involved, now anyways when I spoke with this man called Ron, he told me the differential fluid would be 89.99 for just the fluid changed and on top of that another 200 something dollars for the gasket/ rtv sealer, I was skeptical that a simple gasket could cost so much on top of the fluid like that so anyways before doing anything else I said okay and hung up with the man, I then called the jiffy lube down in winter springs on red bug lake road I believe I spoke with a man I believe called kinley and he told me that the whole service gasket plus fluid change would only cost 89.99$!!! Now could you believe me anger when I called back and confronted this man and then when I tried to call him out on it he continued to try and spout some bullshit about the sealer but I'm telling you right now I went to advance auto and looked up how much that sealer costs and it was anywhere between 10-20$!! And the fluid anywhere from 25-40$ because depending on year and if it was 4wd or not you needed to add what's called a limited slip additive, a special blend and only so much but anyways long story short these guys will try and rip you off anyway they can!! Do not trust any mechanics honestly i think the only way to know something is done right is to do it yourself, or do enough research that you don't get fucked over total RIP OFF!
