We were passing through the area on our way home and our maintenance light came on. That usually means we need an oil change, but I wanted to make sure. I've been to Jiffy Lube many times and I dread it because it seems they haggle you over things you don't necessarily need. So far nothing is the same as the other location in Fresno. They just had me pull the vehicle in and I gave them my work truck paperwork for them and he said "ok, go inside and wait". Only me and another person are here and I've seen about 5 workers. And it has been 30 mind already. The one in Fresno would of talked to me already and signed paperwork. They would of had my tires rotated already, oil change done. They would have gotten it done quick if it was just 2 people getting work done. People here don't look like they wanna work, they are just here for a paycheck. I won't be stopping here again. And I don't recommend coming here. This is why I personally don't go to Jiffy Lube. Other locations provide cold water to drink in a refrigerator. Not here. Water fountain. Is this chick working or just getting a check to play on her phone. All I've seen her do was pull my truck forward about a foot. Then back to her phone. My name is David & I live in Stockton Ca. I just started using Jiffy Lube for Oil Changes on my daughters car & my Mini Van approx 3 mos ago. I work as a Tow Truck Operator here in Stockton Ca. so I have some Automotive Exp. My 20yr old Daughter that Graduated high School at 18. Enlisted into the U.S. Army at 19 as a Military Police Officer with the 787th Batalion stationed in Bakersfield Ca. She is a reservist & served her 1st weekend this last weekend. She has a 99 Honda Accord V-Tec that runs like a top. She finished her duties & began a further trip to San Diego to visit with a Battle Buddy that is due to be deployed in the next 2 weeks. Approaching The Grapevine she started experiancing car probs. From her description she was having a fuel filter prob, possibly spark. I didn't know due to the fact that I was 300 miles away. She said it would make it back to Bakersfield where she is stationed so I sent her back there to stay the night & wanted to send her to the Local Jiffy Lube due to my EXCELENT Exp. here at the Hammer Ln. store in Stockton Ca.. I woke at 7:30am this morning and spoke with Andy whom had set a 9:30 Appt. for me / her. She arrived later. More like 11:00am. He knew the situation & had his Tech go straight to work on her car. It turned out she was low on all fluids & her Chk. Eng. light was on due to a bad thermostat. They checked all needed fluids, plugged it into the computer free of charge in less than 20mins of wait time. Indeed she was super low on all fluids. I later called back to speak with Andy & Gina took the call. Routed me straight to Andy who explained what was wrong. I Okd the fluids & thanked him for his time, professionalism & overall EXCELENT CUSTOMER SERVICE......... They topped off all fluids, road tested the car & even checked her tire PSI for me. The charge was so minimal that I spend more on Lunch daily & I sort of wish I had paid more than I did. They even gave her, her Military Discount & got her under way in less than an hour....... YOU GO Jiffy Lube !!!!!!!!!! :-) ESPECIALLY Andy & the nice girl Gina who answered the calls. I wish there was more than 5 STARS because this store defiantely EARNED each & every single star & then some. THANK YOU SO MUCH ANDY. My Baby Girl got home safe. I ended up at this Jiffy Lube after the 800 Oak Street location informed me they did not have a filter for my Chevy Silverado. (How do they consider themselves an oil change facility without having filters for a full size Chevy pickup?) Anyhow they changed the oil in my truck, cleaned the outside glass, and vacumned the floor. More than Teeter's does- they would check it off the list without doing it. I've never had an issue with any of the jiffy lube locations (minus the one on Oak) but this one has been one of the best! Jeff and the rest of the guys (I forget the head mechanic that was, they just called him the boss) were all SO insanely nice and helpful! I came just to get my tires aired up (they sometimes go low when it's cold) Jeff was super nice and wasn't pushy and asked if he could check my oils and other items too. Totally! I told him I was more than likely needing a change, but nope! He showed me everything, explained everything, and was so polite! They got me on the road ON TIME to my bridal appointments in Fresno! I stopped here half way through my trip to Vegas to get an oil change. I had the worse experience ever! I told them I just wanted the basic oil change, they said it would take 20-30 minutes. An hour and a half later they come inside and tell me I need some better synthetic oil or whatever and that there was no oil left in my car. It would be $20 more. Fine, whatever, but I need to leave soon. I asked them to check the air filters. They came back in and told me I didn't have any air filters where they needed to be and gave me a price. At this point, I didn't have the time to wait around any longer and told them I would get it done later. BTW, during this time, I had to wait outside the entire time because the lobby was infested with cockroaches crawling over my feet. (It was over 100 degrees). Finally almost two hours later, they call me to the desk and pay. The lady starts speed reading through the list and I catch that it says my oil was full. I told her to please bring the screen back up. She sighed and did it. I told her that they told me my oil was empty and thats why I needed the nicer oil. She said...oh probably a mistake. Okay. So, are you paying attention to my car or not? I finally get into my car and realize they didn't put air in the tires like they said they would. So, I waited another 10 minutes for them to drop what they were doing on the cars that came after me and put air in my tires. After they put the air, I realized there was a part of some sort on the front seat of my car and I asked them to come take a look at it. The guy came over and tried to fit it back in place where he was checking for my air filters. I finally get on the road and the part falls out of wherever he put it and I have no idea where it goes. I am never going there again! What turned int a 30 minute(at most) oil change turned out to be over 2 hours standing in the sun. No thanks. read more

I have to say that after reading all the negative reviews, I was really going to travel to Fresno to get an oil changed by a different Jiffy-Lube. I have a fleet vehicle and use JL every time I need an oil change. This crew has impressed me with their kindness and professionalism and great job they did on my car. Although there were only two cars/ customers in the building when I arrived, they did everything they were supposed to. In addition, they re-opened my vehicle hood after parking it. When they walked me over to my car, they showed me the oil level was full along with the other fluid levels. The cashier Gina is not only a recepionist/ cashier. In between cashing out customers she is cleaning the exterior windows on every vehicle that has come in. She has done this on five of the cars while I am writing this review. The actual oil changers are now two cars deep in every bay and are all hustling to get their work accomplished quickly. I AM GLAD I READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEW BECAUSE IT HELP ED ME KEEP MY EYES OPEN BUT ALSO PROVES THAT PEOPLE AND BUSINESSE'S CAN CHANGE. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! Can I give lower than 1 star? I came in for an advertised oil change of 24.95, and they tried to charge me 42.99. HMM. Trying to make a quick buck on a young possibly naïve female????? Here is the WORST PART BY FAR. Less than 2 weeks after I went in, the tire pressure light went off in my car. They had not even checked the tire pressure as they had told me they had done. Then, my car wiper fluid light goes off the next day. Did they do ANYTHING??? NO!!!! The next week, my cars maintenance light came on, and I had to go in and get an oil change!!!! Needless to say, I went elsewhere. Edger was such a great help when I was having trouble with my car battery. He tested both the battery and the alternator and showed me his findings. He offered me some advice, but was in no way pushy or trying to sell me something I did not need. I took a few days to think about it and with a battery on the fritz, returned to Jiffy Lube! Since there was already a car in the middle bay, I asked how long it would take. We were told it would be 30 minutes before they could start. I have a fleet car, I stopped in like usual except today no one was there. The entire oil change took 5 min. They were going home and I was the last car. I specifically asked if they checked the tire pressure because my light was on, and I knew which tire was low. They reasured me they did, and the manager even asked the worker who did it. They all said yes. I live 2 miles away, I drove straight home, as soon as I was home I checked the tire pressure. They did not fill the tires with air up to the 36lbs of pressure like they said they did. None of the tires were at this pressure. One of the nice workers said, if the light does not go off, he recomended I take it into Ford. I filled up all the tires my self, the light went off. Really, you had to lie instead of just saying you would check again, and then doing the job you were paid for. One of the reasons I am writting this review is because there was a large poster in the lobby asking me too. read more

I took my car in today (repeat customers) had the oil changed and air filters changed. After I left and was heading home, (a hour away from Bakersfield) I noticed that my water bottles that I had in my floor board and back seat where gone along with the trash that was on my floor board. I know that they vacuum the floor boards in the front but typically they would just put the stuff in the seat and leave it. I'm fine with that, but once I got home and further inspected my car I discovered that they left the trash in the seat but had taken all the water bottles out, even from under the seat and from the back seat. I know this might not seem like a big deal to most of you but it is to me. One of my kids chores is to clean out our car, and which ever kid does it gets to collect the bottles to cash in at a later time and they get to keep the money. As it was my sons turn to do it, he had planned to use that money to attend a school dance tonight. I now get to tell my son "sorry, apparently someone at Jiffy Lube needed the money more than you and stole the water bottles." This isn't the first time that we have had issues with this place either. For a company that claims to be so honest and trustworthy, they need to do a recheck of their employees. I hope whoever decided to be very dishonest today needed that money more than my son did. Time to take our business else where. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! WHAT A JOKE. I do pretty much all of my own maint. on my cars. I thought I would treat myself and take my car in and let someone change the oil filter and oil. I called and talked to George and he quoted me $36.00 for my 2004 F150 pickup. Knowing that I can go to the auto parts store and buy a oil filter and oil for about $22.00. I printed out Jiffy lubes coupon for $13.00 off oil change and drove down to their store and have it done. I pull into the bay and asked how much for oil change and filter? Not George, but another guy tells me $54.00. I said and pointed to the banner hanging from their building that said $24.99 for oil change. I understand that my truck takes 2 extra quarts so I said " how much do you charge for a quart of oil"? He said " $5.06 per quart. Why are you charging me $54.00? He said I can only use the coupon if I get the premium service (not stated on the coupon). Then he started randomly giving me prices on his computer. I said" I just want and oil filter and oil change nothing else. How Much?" He said $42.00. I said " why don't you charge me the $24.99 you have advertised plus for 2 more quarts of oil"? He said the best he could do is $42.00. I told him "amazing way to run your business" No wonder your bays are empty". I have to also change the oil in my front differential. I asked him "how much"? He said $80.00 I said "I don't need the synthetic oil". He said " then it is $70.00". I said "no thanks" and I drove off. What a complete joke and rip off this place is. I am lucky enough that I can do all my maint. myself. For people who can't I feel very sorry for. I even bought 2 quarts of oil for my differential to change for $10.99. All you have to do is drain the oil and refill it. Stay away from this place and I will let everyone I know to do the same. read more
