Just got my 2 rear tires replaced here today. We had an above and beyond service by Jose. He really took good care of us. He made sure to explain what may be causing my tires on my Tesla to wear out easily, which was possibly due to lack of tire alignment or not doing enough tire rotations. As we wanted to get the tires done today, Jose made sure to order them from another location and got them delivered at 3 PM at their shop. He told us that the tires would get installed almost 6 PM, but it was all done before 5 PM. We were not from Bakersfield, he helped us out with an Uber to nearby Target/food area while we waited from 11 AM to 5 PM. Then, once done before 5 PM, he helped us out again with a ride. Definitely would recommend going to this location and getting Jose to help you. He is the best!!! read more

This place is terrible! My tire had a screw and needs to get fixed right away before it gets flat so I went to this place. Instead of helping me they refused to fixed my tire but rather sell me their effin' tire! The thread of my tire is perfectly fine but they don't care if my tires would blow up on the road! I was in Bakersfield passing through and noticed my tires were riding rough so I called around and American Tire Depot had the best price and said they could take care of it right away. The staff at the counter said they would get us out as soon as possible and even recommended a cafe to eat at while we waited. They mounted and balanced 4 new tires and got us back in the road with enough time to make it to our destination. read more

We caught a nail in a rear tire on the Saturday of 4th of July weekend. One place told me there was a5 hour wait. Two other places were closed. I found American Tor e about 4 miles away. I took the tire off the car and took it in. They took it right in. In less than 15 minutes, the tire was back in my truck, fixed, and ready to be mounted. I set an appointment with Tony on 07/02/2024 to install new tires on 07/09/2024 due to Tony having to order the tires. I get to my 8:00 am appointment on 07/09/2024 and at 8:45 am, my truck is still sitting in the parking lot. There is only Tony at the desk and 1 kid changing out trash cans, I asked Tony, what's the hold up on my tire installation. Tony states, they are on the way, they should be here in 30-40 minutes. He never ordered them, how about that. he came up with a lame ass excuse he's shorthanded and just blew me off. I asked for my keys back and left after wasting 1 1/2 hours of my time. This tire center is poorly Managed and does Not have enough technicians to accommodate the customer flow and they need a new front desk guy that takes his job more serious. This place sucks, they just waste your time. Stay Away................... I went to America Tire on Gosford Rd. at 11:00am and Jason had new tires on my truck within 1 hour of me walking in their front door. America Tire is my new tire shop. read more

I went to have rear brakes put on my vehicle The staff proceeded to tell me that one of the lugs could not be removed asked if they could break the lug off and take the chance of leading to a hub bearing replacement. Also, they stated that I needed rear rotors replacements. I advised them to put my vehicle back together, and I left their shop. I took my car to another shop, and they were able to replace my rear brakes and told me my rotors were fine Price gouging at its finest. read more

American Tire Depot - Able to remove lug just fine. - Tires Near Me - Bakersfield, California

was recommended as a carmax provider to take my BMW there for an coolant leak repair. They told me they needed to replace a upper radiator hose that was leaking. After the repair I drove for 15 minutes and a drivetrain notification popped up on my dash. Took it back to American Tires. Then they said it was coming on, because I needed to replace both of my batteries that I never got a warning on. I let the replace them. After the fix I drove for about 20 miles and another notification tire modules showed up. I went back pissed about all the notifications. They had my car for two days and told me I have to take it to a BMW dealer for the notifications. I was irate with this place. After the BMW fix, I noticed my car was still leaking fluid. I took it to a certified dealer, because I did not trust American tires for no repairs. The dealer told me and showed me that my radiator had a leak where the upper hose connects to it. I would not recommend American tires to do any repairs on your car. Zero stars. They suck read more

I stopped coming here because the technicians working aren't honest and they scam customers..how do I know?? Because they tried scamming me. I used to take my car here for regular oil changes and mind you I'm a female and I KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO CHANGE MY OIL... I honestly just kept coming here because I was too lazy and didn't want to do it myself. So one time after an oil change here pretty soon I noticed that my REVERSING LIGHTS we're no longer working... so of course I did the obvious and replaced the lightbulbs themselves... After doing that the reversing lights still wasn't working, so then after doing some research myself on my car's make and model I found out where exactly to locate reversing switch...I had to take out my car battery and also take out my housing for the car air filter as it was located directly underneath it... As soon as I took that housing out myself I saw the reversing light switch completely unplugged and it even has a clip on it to snap shut so therefore it would be impossible for it to unplug itself... overall American tire depot technicians had been the only people who touch my car. So I decided to plug it back in and see if it worked as soon as I put everything back I tested out my reversing lights and low and behold it works... Ever since I found this myself I never went back to get my oil change from them. read more
