I was able to drive up at 8 am (open) and be done in less than an hour. There was one car ahead of me, but they were seeking a tune-up, which would take longer, so the employee was handling those of us with oil changes first. Before I came, I swapped my engine air filter as a little test. Oil changers ALWAYS suggest I change it so they can get a little more out of me. This one didn't. So, either he didnt check it OR he saw that it didnt need changing and didnt suggest it. I used a fleet service for discount, since I deliver groceries on the weekend for extra cash. My dad insists on me changing my oil myself when I come home but I'm rarely in the mood to do actual work when I'm back in Iowa (i.e. on vacation). Jiffy Lube was my first choice for 'outsourcing' my oil change in that they have several locations over town and they're a pretty recognizable and trusted brand. I took my Corolla over to the shop on St. Charles Rock Road over my lunch break to get it taken care of. Two employees were holding up $24.99 signs near the street - sweet, I thought to myself, that's pretty good for an oil change. I was told that the oil change also included a "top-off" of several engine liquids (washer, power steering, etc) and they would pump up my tires for free as well. I also was able to print off a $5 coupon on the website. Before any work was done, they pulled up the typical maintenance schedule for a 2008 Corolla. They recommended several different extra services that I "needed" for the car. The guy wasn't pushy, but I obviously just wanted my $24.99 (minus 5) oil change so I could get the heck out of Dodge and go back to work. The wait was fairly short, no complaints there. Turns out the base price for the oil change WASN'T 24.99, so the signs were misleading. Granted, I asked for a synthetic oil blend to be put in, but the lowest price on the computer was somewhere around $35. I'm guessing there was an * on the sign. Ah, fine print. Overall, the entire philosophy with Jiffy Lube is to rope you in with a cheap oil change, then push the extras. It's a logical business model, but I didn't need to be sold on it. I stopped in to get an oil change. They pulled my truck in right away and started. Then they proceeded to take care of two other customers that came in after me. It took almost and hour to simply get an oil change. Never showed me my air filter. Never vacuum the carpet. Never cleaned windows. There were at least 4 workers and none of them seemed very professional. Will not use this location again and definitely dont recommend it. read more

On Thursday I was having the hardest day ever started crying and was just the worst day worst 2 weeks ever I got stuck with a car I didn't want and my previous car got ran into and almost flipped so I pulled up to jiffy lube and this guy named jerry helped me with the best of his ability I didn't know what they were doing but they filled up my oils cause my liquids were low and also my belt snapped due to something being to hot and burning it so he filled it up and put a new belt on all for free and listened to all my problems honestly I thank them so much I never usually write reviews but I thank you jerry and store 854 for all your help. read more

I went for an oil change and left with no work being done. The guy came in and had my air filter which I told him I would take care of. He then showed me all the services I "required" and the options I had. I told him I wanted the oil and filter only and wanted the semi synthetic high mileage oil. He said I didn't need the high mileage since I wasn't leaking oil? Without even getting into that I just told him that's what I wanted and I had a coupon. He said don't worry I've got a big discount for you and went back to the bay. He came back a few minutes later and said they couldn't work on my car because my oil drain plug was stripped and they couldn't get it loose. I left and changed it myself. Senior Citizens should exercise extreme caution when dealing with the "Jiffy Lube" franchise located at 9700 St. Charles Rock Road. I went there for an oil change thinking their prices were equal to my usual shop ($29 at Calverts Express). The young attendant asked me if I wanted the "high mileage" oil change because my car has over 300,000 miles on the odometer. I asked if there was a "difference in the price versus the regular oil"? He replied, "not really". When the oil change was finished I was told by a different employee that the bill was $80. I used a credit card to pay the outrageous charge and came home and looked up their prices online. Their "standard" oil change is $44.95. The "high mileage" oil change is $69. The kid who told me there was "not really" a significant difference in the prices LIED! This was my first, and LAST visit to that business. I want all SENIORS to be aware of how I was treated so the same thing doesn't happen to them. read more

they move very slow. they tried to charge me $80 for the oil change. I quickly became a disgruntled customer. refusing to pay so much they were preparing to take out the synthetic oil to add regular oil which I was fine with I had multiple service visits with Jiffy Lube over the past years. I told the clerk I'm used to paying 40 to 50 dollars for an oil change no matter what kind of oil it is as long as it makes the car run great. I trusted him not to have to change the oil and they moved the car out of the bay. I got the price I was used to paying, my car was serviced and I was apologized to for the confusion. read more

the worst company to ever do business with. i live in st. louis and i've been going to jiffy lube for years. everything is fine as long as youre spending your money. they pretend customers safety is important they pretend like they're really trying to help us but they only care about the money. oh dont have a problem where your so called warranty kicks in, they will refuse to honor it. i have been trying to get them to replace my battery for the last few days and they refused. i told them it read bad battery every aito store i took it to. they insisted i get a print out. told me they cant replace it unless it reads bad on their computer. ummm hello if its reading bad on everyone elses computer and not yours then obviously yours is rigged so you dont have to honor the warranty. please dont trust them. anyway so i went to get the print out and even took a picture for the guy pete at jiffy lube he told me to come back the next day so his district manager could see and possibly still say no...what ?? so i told him i would come the next day if my car starts and what do you know i came out this morning and everything is dead in my car. the battery killed my lights, automatic door opener, and etc. now i cant even get to work smh. he should've just changed it yesterday i wouldn't be stranded this morning.now i have to see how i can get it towed to them.he cant tell me it isnt bad now smh...i will never ever ever do service with them again after this and i will be sure to report it all over even the bbb....oh and i just called pete back from jiffy lube and he hung up on me....and he obviously lied yesterday about the district manager coming in because he just told my friend the dm doesnt come into the stores smh read more

I was ripped off by Jiffy Lube and will never return there again for an oil change. I went in with a coupon for an oil change and they told me that I can only used synthetic oil and then charged me $80 for an oil change. Since then I went back to the dealer where the car was purchased from and they told me that I never needed synthetic and that my car was delivered with conventional oil. Jiffy Lube insisted I use synthetic and told me that they cannot put conventional oil in it. I was ripped off for an $80 oil change and will never return to them again. This Place is the Most Unprofessional Place I been too my whole life experience with automotive shop. Yesterday went for an oil change and air filter change and they broke my intake tube that connects the air filter to the engine and was too scared to admit to their faults. They said it was already broken but how?? They told me that they don't have time to tell customers that something is broken. How unprofessional for real.. but yet continues working. Hmmm...fishy right. I never in my life dealt with a company saying they don't have time for a customer. So rude and unpleasant he truly was and put his hand in my face. And as I left, the car is acting funny all of a sudden. On top of this the air filter is not new?? They have on my reciept N/A ....just wow. Jiffy Lube needs to really man up and pay for the part they broke and hire more professional speaking and caring employees. Not someone who worked on my car yesterday.
