But today, I was met by the single most rude employee one could imagine. Now, maybe she was just having a bad day (it happens) but to interrupt my sentence just to tell me "I need you to put on your parking brake, roll down your window and give me your mileage" with a level of demand and urgency as if the lives of children were at risk, is a little much. My response; "Wow, that is a lot of needs." She again repeated her demands and clearly I failed to understand how serious the moment had become so she added pointing and gestors to supplement her request; "I need you to put on your brake, roll down your window and give me your mileage!" Yeah, I heard your list of demands the first time. I have been pulled over with less consternation then what this tech was displaying. I simply replied, "No, I think I will go someplace else." Remember when I said I have been taking all my vehicles here for nearly ten years? That stopped today.

Thankfully, our friend Steve, hooked us up with Burt Brothers Tires for a repair. When we arrived, they were friendly and welcoming and immediately took in the four runner to examine it. In the end, they replaced both front rotors, placed new pads, and conducted a four-wheel alignment. They did a great job for a very reasonable price, much less then it would of costed in California. I arrived with a scheduled appointment at 9:00 a.m. to have the rear shocks replaced on my vehicle. The service technician assured me the job would only take a few hours. By 2:00 p.m., with no update, I called the shop. I was told they were behind and hadn't even started on my car yet, but they promised they would begin work at 3:00 p.m. When I still hadn't heard anything by 5:00 p.m., I returned to the shop and found my vehicle sitting untouched in the exact same parking spot--eight full hours after I dropped it off. The technician then admitted they were running far behind and said they would start "right away," estimating the job at about 30 minutes. At that moment, I was tempted to just let them finish, but the complete lack of respect for my time and my appointment left me with no choice but to take my business elsewhere. My car sat idle in their lot all day while my place in line was repeatedly pushed back. This level of poor communication and disregard for a confirmed appointment is unacceptable. It has significantly damaged my trust in Les Schwab and unfortunately overshadows all the positive experiences I've had with them in the past. I expected much better.
