Let me start off by saying that after moving to Folsom, CA, needing to find a place to get my oil changed was a little challenging. You read reviews, and you never really know whether you're making a good or bad decision by going to a place that has some negative reviews. I'm here to tell you that I had a VERY good experience today at this Jiffy Lube. As I sat waiting for my car to drive into the bay, different employees came over at various times to let me know what the wait time was looking like. The shop manager also came over and told me that the wait time was about 14 to 15 minutes per car. Since there were three cars in front of us, I figured it would be around 40 to 45 minutes, just as the shop manager had estimated. Brynna (I think that's how it's spelled) came over when it was our turn and guided us into the bay. Once we got in, we communicated about what needed to be replaced and what they were offering as recommended items that should be monitored for our vehicle. Let me tell you, from beginning to end, my experience at this place was absolutely wonderful. After letting Brynna know about my Battery that needs to be replaced by Interstate Batteries since its under warranty she offered to have me come to the shop and have it looked at and so this way they could get a reading for me that I could take to Interstate. I Thanked her for her offering but advised that the wife works really early and that it would be difficult for us to come that early in the morning. I had my oil changed, my oil filter changed, my Antifreeze was topped up and my Windshield Washer fluid was topped up as well. I was able to find a $33 coupon online and so the value for the oil change was very worth it. So thankful that I have a great place I can rely on the next time I need my Oil Changed. Already the worst visit to a Jiffy Lube I've experienced and my truck is not even in the bay yet. First, I've been to many local JL locations but this one the most. I have a fleet vehicle that gets maintenance at very regular intervals, easy money for any shop in this business. A full 28 min engine idling before check in. 2 technicians made up the full compliment of employees. Several cars pulled in behind me and left after what I can only assume was a warding off by one of the workers. My last visit I was told they wouldn't do an oil change until I got my oil pan fixed wich they never told me at my last oil change. I told them I'd ask my mechanic to check it. My mechanic looked at it and there is nothing wrong with my pan at all. I drive a 2wheel drive crv pretty high from ground. I would of known if I drove over anything and hit it in any way. They also had trouble putting my glovebox arms back on earlier this year and when I opened and closed it 2 months later the arm broke and came off. They would not even fix it for me at all as I was past 2 months after oil change. So no I do not recommend Jiffy in Citrus Heights and will not return. read more

Went in for a top off, they said it was full, less than a week later its not even reading on the dipstick, it was 3 quarts low. Took it in and they wouldnt service it because the exhaust smokes a little. These guys are absolutely retarded and full of attitude. Paid 130 bucks for the included 2 quarts top off and I can't even get that, stay away. Always make sure you check the dipstick to make sure they did their job.​ read more

From reception to qualification, professionalism was all there. These folks will have a good career in this field, as not many have the attitude nor apptitude to do it. One bad apple can really ruin the bunch. I had great service from Alexander. The process to change my oil was fast and efficient. Even with multiple vehicles ahead of me. Alexander answered my questions professionally. My only issue with this visit was with Mel****. She carried an attitude at each interaction. When I asked about staying in my car she replied "no, there is rain on the ground." A little more context would help. Alexander explained the safety concern with customers driving with wet tires on a slick floor in the bay. That's all I needed. An honest professional answer. Not a dismissive answer. When I went to start my car and the fob was not in the car, I got more attitude from Mel****. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she needs more training. I'm always immediately greeted and all team members are carrying a smile which is comforting as I'm relying on their skill to care for my truck. I'm never upsold. The team members break down each category and offer recommendations. This time Alicia recommended a new air and cabin filter which I moved forward with. Great customer service is hard to come by especially a full team of knowledgeable technicians!! This is a clear reflection of managements training and development. Went in for oil change, waited longer than usual based on an issue with the one car in front of me, but service was completed. Less than 4 days later noticed and found large oil spots in driveway - car was driven less than 20 miles. (it's a Toyota with zero issues) Brought it back, and was given poor service with no call once they were done "checking it" . Was told the car was checked and plug retightened, but was not loose. When asked how did all the oil end up in my driveway they had no answers and said manager would be back in a few days. Would not recommend as now I have to worry about fixing my driveway. No more oil has leaked since second visit, which means they messed up the first time. I also never heard back from anyone to follow up or the manager so this review is to warn others and maybe get a response from them about how they will attempt to make it right. read more

Came on a super busy day (day before thanksgiving). They warned the time could be about 45 minutes. After only trusting Jiffy in the past I agreed to wait. Time went by pretty quick! Every dude there was super helpful and had good customer service. These guys act like they enjoy what they do which is pretty uncommon to find anywhere now. They did the oil change, and replaced my cabin and air filter. Seemed fine, but started hearing rattling from our ac the next day. Took the cabin air filter out and found debris in the fan. The filter was installed improperly and crimped, nearly folded in half. Headed back to have them give me a new one and the technician told me they couldn't give me a new one and sometimes "they just look like that". She made a futile attempt to bend it back and put it back incorrectly again. I took it apart, seeing how the problem was the same, I bought and installed a new one myself. The fact that they don't guarantee their service and can't install an air filter properly is horrendous. I have no faith in them anymore. They should rethink their policies. read more

The service was great however the quality of how fast they do the oil change is crazy. When I do it myself, I completely drain it and that usually takes 30 mins. I can here and was in and out in 25 mins which means they didn't do it properly. And for what I was charged, definitely not worth it. read more

They check me in as soon as I pull up, greeting is always friendly. I let them know what I'm in for and I never feel pressured to do additional service but they always let me know what may need to be done in the future. Save your time, stress, money, support a local business instead of a chain and go to A-Tech Mobile Auto Repair (they aren't strictly mobile and have a shop) off Fulton. They came through last night! I was hesitant about coming to jiffy Lube because years ago I heard about jiffy Lube saying they replaced items they didn't actually replace. However my partner has been coming here for years and I was worried my battery was dying. They had to go somewhere else to get the right battery for my car. Well here I am not even 9 months later and my car won't start after work (ie when shops are closed). Like most people would probably do, I thought it wasn't my battery (I just had it replaced!) and called my roadside assistance through my insurance. They were able to jumpstart it but because of past experience I thought I might wake up for work the next morning and it wouldn't start. I was able to find a local shop (closer than my house!) that was open so I drove it there and the owner confirmed the battery was the problem and that it was a cheap brand. The attached picture is when the battery was removed and all the junk that had leaked from the battery. He got me a high end brand at oreillys for the same price I paid at jiffy Lube. I got home after 9pm. Well this morning I went in for a refund from jiffy lube and was told that wasn't possible because the battery warranty comes with roadside assistance and they would have replaced the battery (with another cheap battery?!!). I didn't know there was roadside assistance (even if I did I wouldn't have thought it was the battery! What happens if i used it and it was actually the alternator? Do I get charged then?!!) and the receipt with the roadside assistance phone number was at my house! The only reason I gave this 2 stars and not 1 is because the employee was professional about it and it's not his fault his employer has shitty business practices. read more

I normally jump around with where I get my oil changed but now I can confidently say I found a home location I'll be going to. They offer extra services but don't upsell or pressure you into those services. I have a great mechanic shop that I use for all my routine stuff except the oil changes. They work on my daughter's car as well! I was out of town and my daughter took her car into jiffy lube and told her: #1) She has an "active oil leak" #2) Her tie rods are "shot" in 3 locations #3) Her air filter is "plugged up" and needs replacement. Here is the deal...remember I mentioned that I have a mechanic shop that keeps our cars?... #1)Daughters car is parked in the garage for 10 to 12 hours a day for the last 3 years. NEVER an oil drip of any kind!!! #2) When my daughter bought the used car 3 years ago..it was purchased from an older gal who had records 3 inches thick for every service done since 1999. Car had just 110k miles on it and looked like it was brand new! The car only has 125k on it now! The mechanic shop lets us know everything with the car..done 2 months ago...tie rods and front suspension is great! #3) Mechanic just changed the air filter 2 months ago....WTF jiffy lube. I took my car to this location 5/22/22 for a routine oil change and now my car HAS PROBLEMS! I called them today at 8am and was told a manager would call back today...I called at 12:05 pm and was told the manager is not in today but the assistant would call me. Negative 5 stars. This place is a joke. Came there to get my oil changed, paid $122 for OIL. My sticker on the windshield said "next service in 10k miles". My car drove 4,000 miles and the check engine light went on. So I took it to the shop to see what was wrong with it. Turns out my car had ABSOLUTELY NO OIL. So anyway I gave them a call, and they took half a day "doing research". Manager Justin called me and said that there are a lot of reasons why my car burned all the oil so fast (which is a lie) , and on top of that he said that based on their notes my car had an oil leak in the first place (which nobody ever told me about). All the cared about was charging me up the ass. I was never offered anything, not to get my money back, not to get my oil changed. JUST BE SMART DONT GO HERE. People, oil doesn't cost $122!! Stay away from this jiffy lube, never give them your business or waste your money. My husband offered to take my car for an oil change. Against my better judgement I let him take it here . He brought the van back, the AC/Heater sounded funky when using it a full speed, also my van was leaking some type of fluid underneath. WASN'T LEAKING OR MAKING A FUNKY NOISE BEFORE. I had my husband take it back, they said the oil is from the transmission and not their issue cause they only did an oil change. WEIRD. Because I took the van to my regular mechanic and the leak is coming from THE OIL FILTER/HOUSING. Also the weird noise, is from my air filter being damaged when Jiffy Lube put it back in. Everyone was kind up to the point of the close of the transaction. I showed my coupon at the end up the transaction the employee approved and typed on the keyboard and gave me the total and then I slide my card. Only for me to look at the receipt to find out they forgot to put the $25 coupon in. To which they were willing to void it but then the manager told them they couldn't void the transaction which didn't make sense to me. The worse part is they assumed that I showed the coupon after I put my card for the transaction which was not the case. I showed it to the employee, they approved and typed away, gave me the total in confidence, and I trusted them. If they even runned back the camera, this is exactly the time line. Why should the employee's negligence cost me $25. Their only way to make up for it was that there's a $25 rebate for an oil change but that's a rebate, it's not a return of funds directly back to me.
