I went to jiffy lube at 430 pm in a week day and the guys were great! They didn't give me any lectures/scoldings about how long it was since I got my oil changed. Since that is one of my biggest fears.... The assistant manager can't remember his name... he was friendly and kept me in my price range. Joe one of the guys who works there was super helpful and nice and helped me with going over what needs to be done and what was good on my car. He also helped me with a discount since I am a share ride driver which made my day the finally bill was lower than expected! Will deffently see then in 2-3 months for another oil change! Started off on a bad note, check in person , she seemed upset, was told to "go inside and wait" but after she seemed nicer, I was questioning weather to go to Fastlube from now on... I checked out with Paula the manager - she was GREAT!, I didn't want to tell her about her employee , instead I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt!! I guess I'll go back?!?!? I have been going to this jiffy lube for the last 7+ years because they were named fast service. I only see it going downhill each time I went. My recent oil change did not include vacuum or window cleaning. I asked and they said they will do it with an additional cost. i paid well over $82 for oil change. They said my coolant level is low and In order to top it I have to pay extra. I also have an inspection scheduled at 7:30am (it's by appointment only so I scheduled it at least a week ago). Turn out at 7:40am they told me the inspector was not coming to work at all. I was pretty upset because they never take walk in or take appointments no later than 4pm. It's hard to do that when you work regular hours. Just when I think I got the lucky 7:30am appointment they cancelled me 10 mins after the appointment time. I don't think I would ever go back again. Well, I don't know bout other people's posts. But, Got my safety done and left. All I can say is know your car. I'm not into sells tactics. I just want a safety. Which I am aware is check, tires, mirrors, brake and headlights,and winshield wipers, brakes. Nothing to do with my engine! So, i dont want my oil changed. Or transmission flushed. I usually check all the above first before I take it in for a safety and buy cheap wipers and before I do my safety. But, they did a good job and passed my car. read more

So I took it in, assuming they'd be able to get the stripped bolt like any other professional mechanic shop but instead they rejected me because apparently they're scared of stripped screws. In my own personal opinion, any professional mechanic shop should be able to take care of 1 stripped bolt. read more

I guess when you update a review yelp literally deletes your whole review and leaves only what you wanted to update. Remind me to leave yelp a one star review. The assistant manager "Nutter" has almost no customer service skills. It's actually a reflection on management that they would promote him. The Jiffy Lube off of Kalihi is way better, do yourself a favor and drive the two or three miles for a much better experience. Also I never responded to the woman who answered this because the experience at this location was so bad I would never go back, and I don't want anything for reporting about an obvious problem at her store. This was my first time every visiting a Jiffy Lube let alone one of those quick-oil-change places. I'll have to say, I was impressed. I pulled right up to the open stalls (no cars ahead of me) and immediately a lady came out and introduced hersefl (I'm awful at names so I don't remember hers). I let her know right away that I had never been there before so she brought me over to her workstation where she entered in my information as well as my car's - all this while the servicemen took my car and started working on it right away. The lady taking my information went through all the details of my car and what Lexus recommends I do. Luckily, all I needed that day was an oil change and some topping off of my fluids. She estimated about a 30 minute wait and showed me into the lobby where there was complimentary coffee as well as a vending machine for other drinks. Yes, there is a TV in the lobby and one of my favorite movies was playing...PITCH PERFECT!!! So I knew the wait would be anything but excruciating. Good/bad was that they were finished with my car in less than 15 minutes so I didn't get to watch much of my movie! The oil change package comes with vacuuming of floorboards and window washing. Um...I suppose they did those things but I honestly couldn't tell. I had done the Adventure Hunt this past weekend and had a lot of sand in my car. That sand is still there. Overall, I liked this place, I like how these places operate, and I will probably come back again! Well...within the next 5,000 miles ;-) read more

I hate leaving bad reviews but I am almost certain someone here damaged my oil pan which is gonna cost me hundreds of dollars to fix. I noticed my car was running low on oil rapidly and when I went to Kapahulu Auto in regards to this issue they had told me they found Teflon tape/sealer wrapped around the drain plug. Mind you, jiffy lube did not notify me there was damage with my oil pan when I picked up my car or told me the temporary fix they did in regards to it. This is extremely unprofessional and upsetting. Wow! I went in for an $80 oil changed and got charged for antifreeze (which I didn't know they would charge extra!) The service checklist indicate they vacuum the floors and wash exterior windows and they didn't. Who knows if I got an oil change and oil filter replaced. Brought my 2019 Chevy for a oil change and the lady told me that it would take 45mins . I returned a hour later and truck was still not ready. Stood around for about ten mins before the assistant manager came out and told me they don't have the right oil filter for my truck and they are trying to find one! The assistant manager told me he had to pick one up in Kailua and would be another 45 mins! A hour later they told me they have the filter so I asked how long more do I have to wait a technician yelled 5 mins just relax! Very rude and bad attitude. They finally finished my truck and said they will comp all charges . The same guy who yelled said you can get in your truck and leave very rudely. You would think a business that does oil changes everyday would check if they have right oil and filter before removing filter and draining oil!!!!! I am self employed I had to cancel my appointments with my costumers . This is the WORST SERVICE I EVER HAD!!!! I will never bring any vehicles to any jiffy lube location!!! If you need oil change take it to the dealer or a legit mechanic shop it's worth it!!! I'm taking my truck in to the dealer to make sure everything was done right. I've been coming here for the last couple years for oil change and safety. I came in today and left feeling the need to write this review. Crew is professional, reliable, and kindhearted. It really does seem like all of the employees are looking out for you and wanting to leave you satisfied. I never write these reviews for businesses, but this specific store exceeded my expectations and left me happy. Needless to say, the new head manager, Lana, is the best edition that this store has. She gives off so much warmth and really does make you feel comfortable. Her interactions with customers are so genuine and professional. I've never met a more level headed, sincere manager who's able to take care of her customers, operate a team, and be out there on the floor when she's needed. They don't answer their phone. Called the Jiffy Lube corporate office to see if the wrong number was listed on their website, and was given a 909 number that went straight to voicemail. Tried the second number they gave me, the automated answering system said their lines were too busy to take my call and directed me to their website to "Fill out a customer service form". I just wanted to make an appointment { Required } for a safety check and get an oil change. Difficult to do when nobody answers, for three consecutive days, and various times throughout the day. Their website doesn't offer the capability to make an appointment online, yes, I'm registered. This used to be my "Go To" place for oil changes and safety inspections. The last time I was there { 5 years ago } was right when the state had changed the safety inspection system and it was chaotic everywhere. I was treated rudely then, which is why I haven't been back, but thought I would give them another try since the state had created all of the problems. I'm going drive down and talk to the manager and see what happens. Then maybe I'll revise this review. After a trip down to this store, nothing has changed. Went in after parking in the back, as I walked in there was a young man showing a woman a somewhat dirty engine air filter and a very clean cabin air filter trying to convince her they needed to be changed. I said nothing, even though I know from experience these filters were just fine { I overhauled my first V8 in 1974 and still do most of my own work } anyone that comes into places like this should know what to expect. Still slimy though. This same young man asked if I needed help, and I replied that I did. He came back in a couple of minutes and I informed him that his phone wasn't working and that I needed a safety check. His response was "Yeah, our phone's been kind of messed up" He then informed me that his next available date for a safety check was the 14th. When I informed him that I didn't feel this was acceptable, given that their phone wasn't working his response was "Well we've been booked up since like last month". His attitude reeked of insouciance, especially when I asked if he was the manager and he said he was. His name tag read 'Nutter'. Hard to believe his parents gave him that name, so I'm assuming it's a nickname. Fortunately, a young man in the waiting room pointed me down the road to a place that does safety checks, I was in and out in about 30 minutes, Thank You young man { with dog } it was greatly appreciated since 'Nutter' was singularly unhelpful in all respects. I'll be reporting this to their corporate office, and I'll never try Jiffy Lube again, any of them. Not that they seem to care. read more

I usually come here and have a good experience. Today got a named Devin N. Assistant manager that gave all this attitude when I was checking in. I was holding a check right away he said "We don't take checks." Without even saying a sale speech or asking anything regarding the sale that I had not even ordered. I told him "This check is signed and for me my friend." Since they are close to the bank of hawaii I was gonna walk there to deposit while they changed the oil. After that he said " Gonna get the same thing u got last time? I said I would like to see costs and what other options I have. He started slapping the computer scrolling number seeming annoyed saying service they could offer and asking. You want this? You want this? You want this? I was like can I see the price I don't even know what you are offering. Ended up saying just put the oil that I put last time that's all. Thanks Thankfully I ended up opening what happened to the Cashier Zarra the situation that occurred and told her look Im usually not a complainer and just wanted to upgrade the service and understand what he was offering to my car if he had a little bit of more patience and manners. She said sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced I will give you a discount. I had an appointment scheduled this past Thursday (January 14th, 2021- 9:30 am) for a safety check. The appointment was made last month on December 10th, 2020. However, apparently they don't do it anymore. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed that they didn't even have the common courtesy to call or email me about it. They didn't even offer a coupon or something to accommodate me on THEIR mistake since it was a 30 minute there. I had to cancel my doctors appointment because this was one of the only free days I had since it expired at the end of January. I would put the workers name from when I made the appointment but I don't want to expose anyone like that. By the way, for anyone who wants to get a safety check done, go to Aina Haina 76. I walked in around 9 am, got it all done including payment within 2 minutes! Don't need to get out of your car. read more

This place is pretty bad. Their workers can be friendly, so I feel bad about the one star, but then I think about how they totally messed up both my car, and my boyfriends car on two separate occasions just because we wanted a simple oil change, and then I feel less bad about it. First of all, my boyfriend took his car in there for an oil change a couple years ago. When he got home, oil leaked all over the street and driveway, because of an error on Jiffy Lube's part (I don't know a lot of about cars, but I believe they didn't replace a filter or something in the oil correctly so it all leaked out) I should have known better, but I'm not a car person and Jiffy Lube is three blocks away so I took my car there for an oil change. They changed my oil, didn't take too long, I went home, and bam... oil all over my drive way. It is worth mentioning that neither MY car, or my boyfriend's car ever ONCE leaked oil prior to taking it to Jiffy Lube. Obviously they did something, because my car never leaked, and then after bringing it back from Jiffy Lube, it's leaking across the garage and I'm getting notices from the resident manager about how it's against the apartment's policy or whatever for oil to leak. So I take it back and tell them they must have made a mistake replacing something or putting things back when they changed my oil because my car is leaking oil all over the place. They told me they would check it right away and to sit in the waiting room. So I sat in the waiting room about fifteen minutes and watched at my car just sat in the drive way and no one looked at it or anything. So I went back outside, thinking I was about to be a damn squeaky wheel and get some grease and I asked them how long they thought it would take for them to check and see if they made a mistake. "Probably about 45 minutes" they said. I had my two-year-old with me and there was no way I was going to wait 45 minutes for them to fix and error that they made. "Yeah, but you guys are the ones that made the mistake. My car never leaked oil and then the second I leave here after a routine oil change it's leaking all over the place. That's on you. That's Jiffy Lube's mistake and you need to fix it. Is there a manager I can talk to?" The guy went to look for a manager and my daughter was twirling around my feet when I looked down and saw a bag of ICE or COKE on the floor. And I'm not talking frozen water or soda. I'm taking a little bag of white drugs! I didn't want my finger prints on it, so when the manager came I said "Uh? What's that on the floor? Is that a bag of coke, or ice?" and the manager coughed a little, and the guy that was helping me before looked all frantic and they picked it up and disappeared and someone checked out my car within ten seconds and I was out of there in two minutes. I've been giving them my business here since I've got my truck new in 2007. Never really ran into any trouble since it's now 2014. I guess this location is truly a hit or miss. Usually I get my truck serviced here because of convenience. That would be location and wait time. Yesterday I scored on wait time. In and out within 20 mins. Customer service here on the other hand sucked. I specifically asked them to add air to my spare tire because warning light was on. I watched the guy who checked in my vehicle type it in the notes section on the computer. Cool. Proceed to wait in room and 15 mins later, job done. Get to paying for it and as I'm trying to sign receipt, bully looking guy behind counter refuses to let me adjust paper to an angle that I can properly write by not letting go of it after I try to adjust a few times. Imbecile. Whatever. Get in my truck, start her up, and lo and behold, warning light is still on. How hard is it to add air to a spare tire that's mounted on the rear door of an SUV? Not like it's buried underneath a trunk or the vehicle itself? Shakes head and goes to a gas station and do it myself. Warning. Service here has really diminished. Probably why wait time is shorter nowadays. People may be going elsewhere for good reason. Makes me rethink a return trip here. read more

I am never going here again!!!! I know for a fact that these guys don't top off fluids when they are required too. This is not the first time that they never top off, but 2 or 3 times. Not only at this location, but another location as well. Now, it makes me wonder "what else are THEY NOT DOING when they are required to do it?" If I could give this business zero stars I would. What sucks is that I used to be a regular customer here a few years back. Listen to the reviews on here, because they do not lie. I took my car here to get my oil changed because my normal mechanic is closed on the weekends and I really needed to get it done. They charged me for their regular service plus some extra for high mileage oil (on my request) because my car is well over 100k miles. Why I hate this place and will never go back: I also asked them to do a tire rotation and they said okay, but then after they were supposedly finished and it was time to pay, they told me they couldn't do the tire rotation because they didn't have the proper machine to lift my car to do it...umm, how did you not know this before hand??? And if you can't do rotations because you don't have the machine to lift the vehicle, why do you offer it on your pricing board?I don't get it... But that isn't even the main reason... When my car was done, the guy went through everything that was (supposedly) done to my car: Oil change, fluids checked, windows washed, interior vacuumed, etc. and I paid and jumped in my car and drove off. At the light, I looked around my car and noticed that my interior was still dirty (I mean, still had gravel and dried dirt on the mats) stuff that should have easily been picked up by a vacuum cleaner if it had just been vacuumed like they said. My windows were also NOT cleaned like they said. So obviously now I'm left wondering if my oil was even changed at all. Fast-forward to a month later. My car is at 127k miles and the sticker they put on my windshield says not to change until approx. 129k miles. Last week, I noticed that my car was emitting smoke while driving it home one night. I took it to my normal mechanic the next day that they said my oil was really dark and also that I had a leak so it was also low. They asked me when the last time I changed my oil was and I told them a month earlier. They gave me a look of surprise and I felt like an idiot, because it was clear: I GOT RIPPED OFF. Needless to say, I had to pay extra for them to change my oil and (although its hard to say if this is a result of my lack of service at Jiffy Lube, I still blame them) now I have to spend a few hundred to fix my car. So, customer beware! Go to this jiffy lube at your own risk. You may not be getting what you pay for and may have to end up paying more later on. read more

Finally a fat hawaiian looking lady comes and I told her all I want is an oil change. She tells me I gotta wait 1 hour at least. So I told her thats ok I cant wait 1 hr. Jiffy means fast....not wait 1 hour. She acts likes I dont give a crap and just let me go. Really bad service and they dont give a crap if u have to wait long. Its only Jiffy when its slow. I've been to this Jiffy Lube many times because I live only 10 minutes away. Service here can be quick if you come during non peak hours. Weekends are super busy. I came here on Sunday to get my safety check and it took me about 45 minutes which is probably one of my worst experiences. The service here could be way better if they had some kind of "supervisor" or "manager" cracking the whip. If there was one, it would have saved me at least 20 minutes of my time. My car waited in the driveway for about 10 minutes before they drove it in even though there was no car in the front of mine. The workers here reminded me of TSA (aka TwohundredStandingAround) workers at the airport. Standing around acting like they are doing something important. There were many workers here standing around.There was a bunch that were congregating and talking which looked pretty bad on a busy day.The guy working on my car was talking on his cel phone while my hood was open.This dude must have some ballz to do something like that knowing customers can see what he is doing. The oil change package can be deceiving too. In actuality all you are paying for is the oil change and having them clean your windows and vacuum. Everything else is extra (wiper blades, air filter, etc). When I was living in Studio City, I would always have to call one of my guy friends to ask if I needed a new serrrrr-something belt or engine flush. I would do this because I often felt I was about to get scammed whenever I had to service my car. I'd call in front of the person trying to sell me a new filter I didn't need just so he knew I wasn't easily manipulated by visual aids. I look as intimidating as a squirrel trapped in a Bubble Boy ball and have racked up quite a bit of charges on what I would later find out were unnecessary services. I came here shortly after I moved back to Honolulu to get my safety check and a way overdue oil change. It was my first experience where I felt I didn't need to make that awkward phone call. Paula went out of her way to explain what I needed and what I could get to another time. She didn't treat me like a buffoon and maintained a level of courteous professionalism that I greatly appreciated. I have been coming here ever since. Great place! read more

I'm not here to right a long ass review. I went in for an oil change to which I purchased my own oil. Thinking the service was gonna be around 50 bucks or so I waited. When it came time to pay for the service the total was like 95 dollars!!! I asked why it was and they charged me 49 dollars for a... get this... CABIN FILTER!!!! WHAT THE FLYING FUCK! I know I didn't need a new one cause I replaced it not even a year ago. So I took it like a chump. This is probably the busiest Jiffy Lube. They are horrible at organizing the line of cars in front of their business. They tell you to leave your car with the keys in the ignition and wait inside until someone gets to you but (after waiting for 15 min or so in the waiting room) I witnessed cars that came after me being serviced first and cars arriving after me pull in front of my parked car to be serviced before me.
