She was respectful, honest, and all about helping me with my vehicle maintenance. Over the years she has routinely followed up with her me, and provided outstanding service for our neighborhood. Last week I tried Jiffy lube for the first time and probably my last time. Thinking it would be fast , drive in and drive out. They did my oil change paid over 119.00 for the bill. Two days later had oil stains on my garage floor. I decided to take it back to my shop who usually does my oil change and repairs found the oil filter leaking due to it being loose, so the seal on the filter was not holding the oil.. ughh. never again. first and last time read more

Came here for the first time for routine maintenance and a safety check. I was told to come back in 1 hr. When I went back, I was told they weren't doing safety checks that day. I said I was told to come back in an hour. They went in that office and it changed for me to come back in 15 min. Came back, handed my keys over and waited in the waiting room. When they were done, they showed me on their computer what they did, changed oil, filter, refilled fluids and so on. They also let me know that my ac is going to need work. I figured that could wait since I was already paying over $300 for service and safety check. Apparently I am told that is waaaay too much. Anyways, 2 days after, my check engine light came on. I figured it was because of the ac that they were talking about so no, I didn't go back to check why it came on and left it. A few months later, I had a friend look at my car because it was making a spinning "noise". He checked all my fluids and they were either half way full or extremely low. If not checked, I could have had severe engine damage... Example my transmission fluid was less than half full. Needless to say, I don't feel that they even checked my fluids but only changed my oil and filter. Nothing else. They even said they vacuumed my car, which was not. I do not recommend going here. I am a bit naive about cars and they took advantage of that. Maybe if you were a guy and knew about cars, they wouldn't have done this to you, but then again if you knew about cars you would probably change your own oil and maintenance at home. Lesson learned, if you don't know about cars, find a friend that does. They can help you do the job or at least check to make sure that where ever you took it, did what they said and what you paid for. I do NOT recommend this place. Oh and my check engine light was on because of my O2 sensor which they had not made mention of. My ac is making the noise but was told that it has at least 6 more months on it. It didn't need to be changed right away as Jiffy Lube had made me feel. A friend had recommend Midas in Aiea as being legit, so that is where I went to get my car checked. Now my car is running better... steering not as "loose" as before, no noise and no check engine light on. :) read more

If I could have done a zero star, I would have. I used to get great service. I would even recommend my clients to get their safety there. Sorry but this one experience tainted my view of this store as a whole. I call at 12 to see if they are busy. They said no. So I drive on my break to head over. I get there. One person in front of me. Customer service guy states do you want an upgrade for oil. I thought you know what. Sure? My $40 service ended up being $60. I also ask them to check my tires. They were low. I also asked for windshield fluid. He says ok. We got that. Okay. I sit down for 5 minutes. They come to my car and say you are done. I'm like what?!?! That was fast. I go to my car. I see 10 guys sitting around on a "break" and smoking cigarettes. No other cars behind me. My tires are still flat. I say excuse me. Sorry to break up your break but my tireS still look flat. And guy goes oh sorry. He begins to put air in FOUR tires. At this point, I lost confidence. I check my windshield fluid. You guessed it. NO FLUID. They tell me that my fluid tank might be cracked. I thought to myself. No!!! You forgot to provide me with the service I paid for. I left so irate. I emailed the corporate office. I twittered about their bad service. Corporate emailed me back and said that someone from the store would call me. Manager called me and heard my side of the story. And offered to do the service himself. I said I'm busy. He said he will mail me some gift certificates. Still waiting........Thank you for the last 2 postcards that remind me of your great service. read more

This place is just way to expensive, cost me 90 plus dollars to get my car s oils changed.. they say they doing all kinds of other stuff to the car wish I could just get my oil and free changed without all fringes like vacuum top off fluids tire pressure etc etc NOTHING JIFFY ABOUT THE SERVICE ,, I JUST WANT MY OIL CHANGED!!! Today my car's safety check was expiring so I dropped in to get my car checked. I was super stoked that I was there for 15 minutes and the bill was just a bit over $15. When I parked my car after leaving this Jiffy Lube, I noticed they didn't close my hood all the way! I'm glad I didn't have a Tommy Boy incident where the hood popped straight open while driving. Quick tip: check your hood after you check your safety check papers and your safety sticker is in tack. read more

I was embarassingly long overdue for an oil change. I popped into this Jiffy Lube location around 8:45 this morning and I was driving away with clean, fresh oil at 9:03am. Super efficient. I usually go to a different Jiffy Lube but I love that they knew who I was as soon as I pulled in, I'm guessing by typing my license plate # into their computer. They have a nice little waiting room with free coffee and tea, along with two vending machines in case you want to buy a soda or a snack. They have a TV and some magazines, too. I like that they check fluid levels, vacuum the floors, and check tire pressure as part of the service. I feel a certain peace of mind after I leave. I'm not sure if there are less expensive places to go but I know I can always count on Jiffy Lube for straightforward, efficient service. read more

This is a horrible location. They are the laziest jiffy lube ever... And that says a lot considering the company has a reputation for half-assing things. I've gone several times (I really don't know why) but yesterday was officially my last. As usually they try to up sell you on everything, which I declined, but they always claim they do all these certain things to your car like top off fluid and vacuum and clean a bit. The ONE time they actually did clean my windows they didn't roll them up, so they only cleaned the half that was visible. Yesterday when I went they didn't clean any windows, vacuum anything or top off fluids. !!!! I don't even trust that they changed my oil.... Probably just topped it off. NEVER going again. read more

I went to the Punchbowl location for an oil change and tire check, but they had over a 2-hr. wait. The Mgr referred me to the Beretania location. I arrived at Beretania location and within 5 mins they started my service. After a short time, Ryan let me know that they did not have the filter needed for my car (Mazda 6) he immediately offered to have the part delivered and if I could wait it would take about 20 mins. for the delivery. I agreed to wait. Within 20 mins or so the part arrived and he continued finishing my service. I appreciated that Ryan was able to get the part needed. It took a little longer for my service this time, but glad they were able to get the service done and not have to come back. That is what you call outstanding customer service! read more

Don't waste your time by giving them business!! I call 5x to schedule an appt but NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!! I then drive to the location only to be told that there's at best a 3-HR WAIT!! WTH?! Their excuse was, "We're short-staffed" (oldest excuse in the book) yet techs are playing around. Jiffy?? Not in the least! Other customers were not happy, either. Your money and time is better well spent going to another establishment who welcomes you from the very beginning, including answering the phone! Ummmm.... REALLY long waits. No organization. No customer service. Prices = highway robbery. Convenience, maybe. I wouldn't be back here. The wait was really long. Cars pulled in behind and they were moved into the housing area, while my car was left hanging out on Beretania *Shaking my head*. The girl who is the cashier, has NO knowledge what-so-ever about cars or the problems the mechanics mentioned in their report. I rather go to the one on Dillingham even though it's smaller, and might have a longer wait (never waited that long at Dillingham though). They are extremely quick when servicing the cars that I don't bring into Servco. Very knowledgeable and I can't beat the price for what you get. The staff was very friendly and place was moderately clean. IMO, they do need new chairs in the waiting area. All in all I don't think you can go wrong with the place. read more

This location is fairly busy at times depending on when you go. Service is okay and they will usually get you in and out within the hour. My problem is with their safety check system. You now have to make an appointment to get a safety check. I don't know if this is so with the other locations but there have been two separate occasions when I had an appointment and they called to cancel because the person who does the safety checks did not go to work. I ended up going to Lex Brodie's who can do it anytime before 4 pm. I stopped by and they did my safety check in less than 1/2 hour. It may take longer if they're busy but at least you don't have to make an appointment, wait for that day and then have them cancel. read more

An oil change is a simple buy messy task; not exactly brain surgery, so I pick the place pretty much by price and vendor attitude. I just got snookered by Jiffy Lube. Went to their website to get address of the nearest one to my house and it brightly advertised the invitation for a $5 discount. So I downloaded the coupon and drove off to the Punchbowl location. "We don't honor this coupon," said the manager. "It's a mainland promotion." But when you go to the page listing the Hawaii locations, there's the "come on," bigger than you know what. Reading the Jiffy Lube website, you will be told about the state of the art equipment they use, but they can't even tell you in their website which stores will not participate. Seems to me, it should be a requirement to participate if you're going to use a franchise's name; one that advertises for you and brings in the customers through their website. All the other oil change guys in town could get 4 stars, too, if they just changed the oil in a reasonable time and didn't forget to put the plug back in. Five bucks...no big deal, why bother? Why NOT take the discount coupon for an extra key stroke and one cent of ink and paper? But when they play you for a doofus, once is enough for me. I have to say that I had the BEST experience changing my oil the other week here at this location. It was my first time coming here, I usually go to another place to change my oil which is closer to my work, but because I had time to kill on a Saturday afternoon I decided to get it done here. I pulled up maybe 45 minutes before they closed and thankfully there were hardly any cars being worked on. The nice gentleman assisted me with the initial paperwork and even helped throw away some of my trash that I had in my hand. I went to Longs across the street to shop while my oil was being changed and got a phone call that my car was ready within 20 minutes. I headed back to Jiffy Lube and paid for the service and the nice girl behind the counter took the initiative to hold open the door for me as I was walking out because I was pushing my son in his stroller. That was completely unnecessary but it was such a nice gesture and I appreciated it a lot. My car was vacuumed, the windows were washed and my oil was changed all within 20 minutes and with exceptional service. If I ever need to get an oil change again and I'm in the area, I will definitely come back! read more

8/29/15 Update - Just wanted to update my review for Jiffy Lube. After my review Jiffy Lube did reach out to me and asked me to email my contact info so I did and after a week of no response from them my 1 star review still stands. FWIW, Jiffy Lube is convenient but you sure pay for the convenience. Will I come back? Maybe. In the meantime, I did find someplace else that did my safety check quickly without any appointments so I think I'll be giving them my business from now on. After posting this review another friend this week just gushed on how quick her safety check was done at the Jiffy Lube at Pearl City. So as always YMMV. I've always come to Jiffy Lube to get my safety check. Last year they changed their policy where you have to make an appointment so this year I did. Now they call saying they have to cancel my appointment. Asked if I could reschedule but said no. It's late in the month and I have to scramble now. Very disappointed. I decided to give this location one more try. Again, pretty empty. I pulled up and the girl was really nice. Asked if I wanted to stay in the car or come in. I asked how long the wait would be and she said, "She's done so you'll be right up." Based on that, I waited in the car - in the sun. The person she referred to was talking with the driver. And talking and talking and talking. She even squatted down next to the car to continue talking. 10 minutes later, she's STILL yapping with the driver. I reversed out and left. NO MORE! read more

when you have a beat'er car, and you're willing to put in the minimum effort to keep it going another few thousand miles (crossing fingers), and you happen to work at UH or in the vicinity, this Jiffy Lube ain't all that bad. It's the 2nd time I've brought my poor faded rusty and who knows what's wrong with it but it still drives for the most part toyota camry here, and boom, the service is painless. Timewise i'm unsure cause i walk back up to work and pick it up after (its a good lunch drop off thing, just don't get sidetracked by nijiya...) but the workers, albeit young and perhaps a smidge unprofessional (i mean, it's a jiffy lube, come on), are nice enough, courteous, and quick. The $5 coupon is good for $3 in HI, which is better than $0 off, and well, hopefully my car won't explode on me or lost some parts as i drive it. extra thumbs up for vacuuming and the window cleans...i feel bad about the sand, and rocks, and crumbs, and whatever else ends up in my car (thanks to our island adventures). read more

Dear Bre C. I understand you trying to do the best you can! But in my case you didn't! When I came in, there was two cars in front of me, then a Fiat came in after me and 3 of your guys were under the hood of what it looked to me it was a 2015 Fiat to try and figure out how to change the oil while I was waiting and waiting and waiting and my car was left untouched for 30 minutes then I got frustrated. When I made a point to the cashier she went outside and told these 3 guys for someone to work on my car. Not to mention that you told me its $43 to change my oil then you charged me $56... It's like your first day in business and you don't know how many quarts of oil 2007 Volkswagen Jetta takes. When I paid the clerk she tells me ohh I'm sorry but your engine took additional quart of oil. How would you excuse your self now...? You guys are a scam! read more

My experience here wasn't horrible. It never is. I used to come here years ago when we lived in Makiki, and now that we live in town again this is where I come for my oil changes. I did notice that they are way heavier on the customer service than before, which is always a good thing. One thing that I didn't like was that the guy who rung me up was super sick. Like sniffling and sneezing, almost like it was cute and we were supposed to think he was a dedicated worker for coming in sick. Uh, no. Nothing commendable about coming in sick and making all your customers sick. In this day and age, people can't afford to get sick. It also makes Jiffy Lube look bad: 1) they obviously don't offer health insurance or it they do, it's expensive, 2) the management either doesn't care that they have a sick employee working or never bothered to notice 3) if management gave a damn about their customers and their employees they would have sent this kid home. Overall, though, I actually like this location because I usually just go across the street to Long's or Down to Earth to kill time. BUT, with that said, this is what I do to ensure I don't have a miserable experience: 1. I only come here for oil changes and safety checks. Nothing more, nothing less. Every once in a while, I'll get new wipers. I don't come here for anything major because c'mon guys, it's Jiffy Lube. The name of their business says it all. They do oil changes.Years ago, I'd go ahead with their add-ons (radiator flush, air filter, transmission stuff, etc) and I never had any problems but now I'd rather just leave that kind of stuff to a car mechanic. A real one. Nothing against Jiffy Lube, but it's just oil changes and safety checks, and I haven't been disappointed. Anything more and it's at your own risk. Just saying. 2. I come on a Saturday or Sunday. Early. I also expect to wait. Which is why I come when I don't have any major plans. I ask them how long it will take, they usually say 30-45 minutes, I say ok and walk across the street to Longs or Down to Earth, as stated earlier. I call around the 35 minute mark and they either tell me my car is done or that it will be another 15 minutes. 3. If for some reason you are willing to have more done to your car at Jiffy Lube, I would recommend waiting in the waiting room. They are not perfect. I've seen them mess up before; a lady came back to pick up her car about 30 min after they were done and they ended up not doing a service she said she asked for--I can't remember what it was. She was in a hurry so she left upset, but had she been there when they called her it could have been taken care of. That doesn't make it ok, of course, but at least her car wouldn't have been sitting there for 1/2 hour waiting when they could have been working on it. I realize I'm basically suggesting that you lower your expectations which is kind of lame, but for major car work, if you go to a lube shop you are asking to be disappointed. For an oil change though, you should be ok. read more

Simple and too the point. The wait/line to this place can be pretty daunting if you come at the wrong time. Luckily I made it here around 10am and there was no wait to get my car in for an oil change. So can someone tell me why my oil change costs $150...... Seriously. Apparently my dad brought my car here before so they had all the information in already and asked if I wanted the same treatment as last time. Mehhhh didn't question it since my dad did it before. But still, 150 big ones... But overall, the service was good. They changed the oil, cleaned my windows, vacuumed my floors and refilled/checked for liquid leaks. I've heard them tell 4 people that they need a lightbulb for their back right brake light..... Sounds like a scam to me. They tell the customers they won't pass their safety inspection unless they buy one and they'll install it for them. I waited for an hour and 15 minutes for my inspection had to go to the dmv to come back for registering my car and now I've been waiting for about 30 minutes so they can do another inspection?? I called ahead and I arrived and they shoo'ed me away because there was an issue at one of the bays. I waited a few minutes and a person came by to let me know they don't have a filter for my car so they couldn't change my oil. I always come here to change my oil. Just went yesterday to change my oil and they were super quick! Printed out the $5 off coupon online so my total came out to about $43, which includes the oil change, vacuuming of the car floor, topping off of fluids and washing of windows. Dropped off my car, went to Burger King for a quick fix, came back and the car was already done! This was on a Monday, late afternoon so that's probably why. I have been here multiple times in ATTEMPT to get a safety inspect. "The guy" is either never there or always 'stuck on something'. If you like to wait and waste time, go there. They told me it would be done within the hour one time, I came back an hour later and they told me AT LEAST an hour more. Most recent time took them 15minutes to just come out and ask me what I wanted, just do be denied a safety inspect again. However, I have been there a few times for oil changes and there is never a problem. But they always failed to check on things I asked them to. I won't be going here again for any service. Initially I was told the wait can be up to 2 hours. Normally I wouldn't go to a place that says 2 hour wait but my usual shop was too busy and I was tired of calling around and could not find a place any better, so I brought you laptop and came expecting a long wait. It turned out my wait was maybe about 40min. The technician was not friendly type but he was efficient and fair. When he asked me which oil I wanted, he used some technical terms I didn't know. I asked him to explain my choices then he showed me the type of oil and prices on screen. That was helpful. Again not friendly but i was satisfied with the service. They advertise doing safety inspections. So i go to get one. One guy asks me how he can help and I say "i'd like to get a safety inspection." The guy says, we can do that. You're next, but might be 45 minutes. I say ok, wait 10 min and then the mgr says "oh we can't do it. My guy can only do so many a day." How can one employee tell me something and then the manager tell me something else. No where on their website does it state that they can only do so many inspections a day. Pretty quick service if it's not busy. I was tripping out the first time I went to Jiffy Lube, I didn't know you just pull up to an open spot in the garage. I guess it would have been a helpful tip to know before I got there... I went for an oil change this time and previously as safety check. The Good: Service was quick both times I went to Jiffy Lube. Went in for just an oil change, they offered many services to me, I took them up and an air filter deal which they said was going to be $25.99. They also said they would give me $20 off of the whole price, which I did not recieve. They also charged me an extra $50 for something I didn't evne ask for. Went in expecting to just get my oil change, left spending $60 more than expected due to their workers not informing me they would be adding this $50 charge on without asking. Would not recommend coming here unless it was your last hope. read more
