    Piece of my car dragging.

    Went in for an oil change. Of course they showed me my dirty air filters and replaced them (Now the entire center air vents don't even blow). When I was driving to work in the morning after a piece of my under carriage dragged off my car and eventually fell off having me extremely worried. There is a discount tire closer and apparently much more reliable than this place! Going back today to make them fix this! Edit: They did fix this it was a dropped skid plate, and fixed the vents free of charge (as they should). 2 stars for at least them fixing the issue they made. If I was driving much fast that could have hurt someone.

About a month ago, I brought my car in for a simple alignment and rotor replacement. The vehicle was veering slightly despite having new tires, so I figured I'd get it aligned and tuned up. They charged me over $1,200 -- which I initially accepted, assuming the work was thorough. They also threw in an oil change. A few weeks later, I started noticing a slight vibration and wobble on the front passenger side. Naturally, I brought it back, thinking it might be something minor, especially since they were the last people to touch the car. Instead, I'm hit with a laundry list of "issues" -- bad CV joints, sway bars, and possibly a motor or transmission mount -- totaling another $1,400+. When I asked why none of this was caught during the recent alignment, I got a vague response like, "Sometimes you don't catch those things." It gets worse: While they were "test driving" my car, a friend of mine called me and said, "Why are they driving your car so hard back there in that parking lot?" When I got the car back, the vibration was noticeably worse than when I dropped it off -- meaning I basically paid them $159 "diagnostic" to make the issue WORSE. And when I refused to authorize more work is when they held my car hostage until I paid the $159 "diagnostic fee" -- for work that was essentially a review of their own previous work, and that I wasn't even warned about up front!!! Ridiculous. At this point, I was angry and needed a second opinion. I waited to post this review until I confirmed what I suspected -- I had two other shops inspect the same issue. One quoted under $400 total (parts + labor), and the other quoted just over $500. That's less than half of what Steve's tried to charge me! This entire experience has left me angry, frustrated, and feeling completely ripped off. I trusted them, and not only did they fail to fix the problem -- they made it worse and tried to upsell me into more unnecessary repairs. Do not bring your vehicle here. Get a second opinion before you hand over a single dollar. Or better yet; bring your car to a HONEST shop to begin with! Steve's Tune Ups is, in my opinion, a complete scam shop. It sucks that we live in a world where even though things are hard and prices are high for everyone, you got people like this scamming off hard working people. Pathetic! Sorry-not sorry

    Decided last minute to pull in for an oil change before a trip to Austin. A technician walked out…read morewithin just a minute and offered everyone in the car, me and two of my children, a bottle of water or can soda. He then told me it would be about 15 minutes and how many cars were in front of me. From then until we got into the bay we had multiple technicians come and check on us. Once inside, the two technicians working to get the oil changed were very polite and friendly. We talked about thanksgiving and football. They checked my air filter and offered to change it at a discounted rate. Overall I had a great experience and I will definitely be back for the next change.

I've been there a few times now and its very nice to see the same people working there each time (unlike their competition). The crews are friendly, efficient, and professional. They know what they are doing and even know how to explain it to a layman like me. Something else I like about them is they give a military discount for all active duty and veterans, and it's a big one. For those who haven't served, they also have regular coupons. You stay in your car while they do the work. I don't know if its just five minutes, but its a lot faster than other places I've been. Give them a shot. Like me, you might be glad you did!

This is the first one that I have been to in Huntsville where someone actually greets you in the parking lot as soon as you pull up and offers to help you, without making you feel like you are wasting their time if your not ready to buy right then. Christian was our sales person. He was so nice and helpful. He did not use high pressure sales tactics at all, and he was just as helpful when we were unsure about whether or not we wanted to buy as he was once we decided to make the purchase. He was very accommodating and he made the whole process very simple. Lamar was our finance manager was just as helpful. He really explained the different packages available, again we went in thinking we didn't want anything extra, but he explained everything to us and helped us to see the value in some of the additional options. I really want to highlight how easy, friendly and low pressure the entire process was. I went to look and left with a purchase but at no point did I feel like anyone was trying to convince me or persuade me to make any purchases that I was not comfortable with. After I the purchase was done Christian helped me set up my phone with my car and he put the license plates on it for me and made sure everything was ready to go. Emails go unanswered, voicemails are ignored, and multiple calls result in being left on hold only to be told, "The GM will call you back in 15 minutes," which never happens. After waiting over two hours past the promised callback time, I had to personally call back myself, only to be told the GM was "too busy" to return my call. I was then advised to drive over two hours to the dealership just to discuss thousands of dollars they owe me. Expecting a customer to leave work early and travel hours for issues your dealership created is completely unreasonable and unprofessional. Over the course of several months, both myself and my bank repeatedly reached out regarding my warranty refund through phone calls, voicemails, emails, and messages left with employees. Despite all of these attempts, there has been little to no response once the refund process was brought up. On top of that, my tags were never sent. When I called about it, I was assured paperwork would be emailed to me so I could take it to the tax office myself. That paperwork was never sent either. And to make matters worse, the mandatory vehicle tracking service included with the purchase was never properly set up. I was never given login credentials or account information. I reached out regarding that issue as well and, once again, was told management would email me the information. That never happened. The level of negligence, lack of accountability, and overall unprofessionalism from this dealership has been unbelievable. General manager Jason Pennel needs to learn the basics of customer service and gain the unheard of concept to him that is accountability.
