Brought my mother's car for an oil change around 5:45pm - fifteen minutes before closing. Yes, I was that guy. I had actually originally went to another location on Kingwood Dr & WLHP - next to Bank of America and across from the big HEB. I was told that they were only doing state inspections. That was at 5:10p. I was referred to the Northpark location and actually glad I came here. Due to traffic on Northpark it did take me some time to get there. Was assisted by Patrick, who was kind and empathetic to my mom's needs. Got the oil change done, fluids topped off, and got $10 off with a coupon. Also was given a $10 coupon for next time. Patrick and the crew here were all very courteous and respectful. Got me in and out pretty quickly and I can feel the difference in the way her car drives. Techs failed to put oil filter on incorrectly, My Toyota Avalon has been leaking oil for 2 weeks, I even brought my vehicle back to you and the oil was still leaking. Today, I had to bring my car to Clifford's and it cost me $115 for them to find out the cause and fix your mess up. Owner/manager of business sat behind desk with feet propped up staring at his phone. Did not look up even once to say hello, thank you.....nothing. The young man who did my oil change was pretty efficient and they had me in and out pretty quick. That's why 3 stars - I would give the manager / owner 0. The boss never spoke to his employees while I was there - and certainly didn't acknowledge the customer. Pretty poor leadership. They didn't vacuum car either. I came in for a simple oil change on July 16. I paid $86 for the synthetic blend. While waiting for my car to be finished I noticed the workers here were extremely unprofessional. Using foul language freely and loudly, they were immature for sure but then they started revving my engine while working on my oil change. Like one man would shout something and then the other man would respond by shouting another thing and almost simultaneously he would rev my engine. I was a bit annoyed by this, but I didn't think it would do any actual harm to my car. Fast forward they came in saying my car was all set. I drive away thinking all is well, I get about 2 blocks away and I see my maintenance light is still on. Strike 1. I turn around and ask them why. They claim they forgot to reset it. Okay. It gets "reset" I get back to my place. I call my mom and told her what happened she told me to pop the hood and check if the oil is clean. I did and my oil is still brown-strike 2. I call Jiffy Lube asking why my oil is brown/dirty. She said that's just the regular color of the oil. Okay. I make sure to put the oil stick back in securely. A few days later I leave my friends house and they text me saying "Jade your car is leaking oil. You need to get it checked out before you mess up your engine". My car left a puddle of oil on my friend's driveway. I immediately opened up the hood of my car to ensure the oil stick was properly secured, it was. I am livid and I am at Toyota right now trying to see what these people did to my car. Two things I am certain of, I will never go to Jiffy Lube again, and I will be getting a full refund. Time for me to change the oil in my car and guess where I WILL NOT go to? I'm the guy that you guys cracked my oil pan and much of the oil drained out. Your response was "call us back and we'll take care of it right away" then did one of those 'my bad' when I called you. At least you let me know that you don't make enough money off of oil changes that you can stand behind your work. Since that time I have had more than 10 oil changes and I still won't come pull into your shop even though I drive by it every week. I drive a fleet car that just hit 5,000 miles so practically brand new. They decided it needed a new air filter and charged $61.99 for it. This sounded suspicious to me so when I got home, I actually opened the hood and checked the filter. They did not install a new filter - the factory original AC Delco was still installed and it was in excellent condition. I called and asked what brand of air filters the installed and they said "Champ" brand so this confirmed they not only would have replaced a part that did not need to be replaced, but also did not even do the work they charged for. read more

They have one vehicle that's already getting an oil change and told me they can get me taken care of in just over an hour. One vehicle. Multiple workers so not short staffed. They put the wrong oil filter on another truck of my and all the oil leaked out. They don't wear gloves and get oil stains inside and outside your car. They are a little pricy if you get fuel filters, or air filters from them on an f-250 but they do good work and they are super friendly. Changing a fuel filter on an F250 is a task, so I don't mind paying the extra. I've always used jiffy lube because the have shell rotella in stock for the power stroke, and they keep good records in the event I have a manufacturers warranty issue. Quit changing the oil myself after I had a legit warranty claim denied a few years back. I think the managers name is kristian and she is really knowledgeable and helpful. read more

Frequently get my oil changed here, however, this time I wanted to get my tires rotated as well. All went well, except for the fact that they didn't balance my tires after rotating them. I realized this the next day on the highway as my car was vibrating intensely. I called and they told me to go to the Westlake Houston location to get the tires balanced. The next morning, I followed their instructions and went to Westlake. I was told no jiffy lube balances tires and that I would need to go to Firestone or Pepboy. I was skeptical - how can you rotate tires but not balance them? I checked online at Jiffy Lubes website and sure enough...balancing tires is part of their services. So here I am, I've now paid for a tire rotation and am now paying for balancing my tires at Firestone. What was supposed to be a routine trip to jiffy lube has turned into a weekend project. read more

Just had a wonderful experience at Northpark Jiffy Lube.. Came in to get my son's truck inspected. Tyler took extremely good care of me..even changed a burned out brake light bulb, & the charge for the bulb & install was very reasonable! They didn't do as some oil change places I've been to, that use high-pressure tactics, wanting you to make repairs (some not even necessary). They make it sound like if you drive the vehicle w/o making the repairs you'll be putting your self and your loved ones in grave danger or it will cause severe damages that will cost thousands & thousands of dollars to repair. These guys are not at all like those other shady outfits!! Was in and out in no time! Dakohta check me out & was so sweet and helpful in explaining my next steps to get my vehicle registered. I came here for a car inspection and pulled right up. They had me park my car and wait in the lobby. Everyone I encountered was very nice and informative. Unfortunately I had to wait almost an hour for them to pull my car up to be inspected however once they did it was done in about 15 minutes. When my car was finished they told me that "This one is on us!" I was totally surprised and delighted! They said they felt bad about the wait and totally took care of the car and the charges. read more

They are relatively quick with the oil change. Depends on the amount of people in front of you mostly. You can always find a coupon online also. I like the vacuum the interior and check and top off fluids also. They seem to know what they ate doing, but they had to get a certain person to pull my manual transmission in. I've used this one 7 or 8 tines with 4 different vehicles now. I have used others in other cities with the same results. They seem to be a constant no matter where i have gone so far. The only negative I have is the pushing the filter replacements and recommending a higher grade oil when it is not required. read more

I went it needing an oil change. $145 later I left thinking how amazing of a job. Needless to say my car got driven maybe 30 miles for the fact I rarely drive my car because I drive a company vehicle. Today getting in my BMW my lights go off and says the oil level is critically low and can cause motor damage. the employees don't want to handle their job and fix it since they did not do their job in the first place. We needed our state inspection done on our van. They did the inspection quickly and didn't try to up sell to replace any items. They did check the air filter, but when I declined buying a new one they said OK and put it back in. Too many times service shops work hard to up sell you on several items. Joseph did check with me on our van had failed an inspection just a few days earlier at the dealer. He informed me that there would be a charge for this inspection. He was making sure we weren't paying twice for the inspection as we could have returned to the first place for free. That is great service and why they earned five stars on this visit. read more

Despite the door sign saying inspections would be available at 7:30 am, I was told told the inspection guy was coming in 10 min. That was an hour ago. It is 12:50 now and I keep being told the guy will be here in 5 min. Completely unacceptable. I recently moved to Houston from out of state. So, in the process of getting my car switched over to Texas plates, I went to this location for my state inspection. There were a couple people in front of me, but I didn't have anywhere to go so that was fine. I didn't mind waiting my turn. They say they are training a new guy... Finally, after about an hour waiting for my inspection, I get my car back. As I'm checking over things, I notice that the year on the paper I'm handed is wrong, so I ask them to fix it. They do, but they just left the sticker with the wrong year on my window. I didn't notice that until later though. About three weeks later, I do down to the office to get my new Texas plates and I'm told by the lady at the counter that she can't read the vin number. The guy who wrote my paper didn't distinguish between z and 2 or B and 8. So then, I go back to this location, tell them what the lady at the plates office told me, and I wait for over an HOUR this time! How does rewriting a paper and changing a sticker take an hour?! Come to find out, they had conducted an entirely new emissions test, and had the audacity to ask me to pay for it! I refused and the guy was very sweet once I explained the situation to him. Don't you think if you see the sticker in the window with the date of three weeks earlier, you would wonder why you were doing another one?? Finally, I left with my paper written neatly and an accurate sticker in the window, but it's ridiculous that I had to go through that to get it! I know that sometimes things get miscommunicated, but I will not be returning here for any type of service after experiencing that type of incompetency. read more

Just had oil change and thought I was paying for the platinum oil. Watched them pull a bait and switch with the manager handing the oil bottle I paid for down to the guy in the pit and then they poured used oil into my engine. I checked the oil cap and there was old oil swimming in the thread trap. Don't use this place or if you do stand and watch them like a hawk. They get 1 star for being so slick. Will be lodging complaint with Jiffy lube head office. read more

Usually Jiffy Lube does a decent job doing my oil change and vehicle inspections. I've been going to this Jiffy Lube exclusively since 2011. So I take my 2011 Nissan Murano to Jiffy Lube recently for an oil change and a few days later for a vehicle inspection. While I'm driving back to by home, my brakes start to fail. I have to push the brake pedal to the floor and they brakes may work, may not work. I would pump them, sometimes I could stop, or not. I took the Murano to the closest place I could safely go,to Christians Brothers Automotive (CBA) on Northpark Drive, about half mile from Jiffy Lube. I ask them to troubleshoot my brakes. CBA reported that my brake master cylinder was contaminated and it destroyed my brake lines, brake pistons, the ABS, the master cylinder, and a few other things...I asked how did it get contaminated (my car never flooded, I told them that). He stated that probably somebody put the wrong liquid in the wrong reservoir. It probably happened a while ago, 3 to 6 months, perhaps. I asked how much to repair. $5,200. I later asked Jiffy Lube what recourse do I have. The said they don't touch the brakes system, it's not their fault. They said they did everything proper during my recent visits there. They even showed me a video of them working on the car. I asked for video for the previous 6 months. They said they only keep two weeks worth of video. I said nobody works under my hood- not even me, except for Jiffy Lube, I just fill it up with gas and drive. So I'm stuck with a Murano with messed up brakes which I must pay up $5,200 to repair.
