I was way past due for an oil change and didn't want to drive to Houston with my car telling me that service was now due. This was the place closest to where I was working and when I looked on Yelp, there was a $10 off coupon. This drive-thru service is very convenient. They check your air cabin filter and ask if you need new wiper blades. It's like a mini state inspection. This is not a review based on an oil change I had done. I found myself caught in traffic on 59N needing to use the bathroom. This was the closest business I could get to & even though I wasn't there for service, the guys, especially Michael, was super sweet about letting me use their restroom. Most probably have no problem using any business' restroom when that's the sole reason for their entering the establishment. To me, however, I think it's kinda rude. Absolutely annoyed with this location. Do not go near closing hours they will not service you. My husband and I took both of our cars, we left work early to make sure we made it on time. We got there exactly 6:49pm. Only to get told "naa bro we caint do none we already cleaned." First: Very unprofessional way of speaking to customers. Second: Just because you already cleaned doesn't mean this business is closed. It shouldn't matter if its one minute before closing. If its still during business hours you should still service a customer. Third: Valvoline if you instruct your employees to not service customers after a specific time frame note it on your website so that customers know not to expect service. I checked the whole website prior to coming and there was no cut off time. Fourth: Filter out your staff. Theres no reason why somome should be saying naa bro to a customer. We are not at the park or a bar for someone to speak to us in that manner. This is a place of business and I expect to get treated as such. And Lastly: If you have a phone number, answer it. I went to get an oil change and check the tire pressure in my boyfriends car and that car only takes the full synthetic oil and they asked if I wanted the half blend synthetic or full and I told them to hold on and DONT do anything and Shelia I believe was her name said okay we will check the battery and tire pressure... by common since thinking, that means don't do anything pertaining to the oil change, without telling they did so and not communicating with they guys under the cars had already drained the oil and changed the filter. The price for the oil change there was $90 and that is ridiculous... I very clearly said don't do anything until I called my boyfriend but started the oil change despite what I asked. The main problem I have is when I checked the sticker for the next service date it was exactly 3000 miles. I'm not stupid and I can read an owners manual and nowhere in that manual even if I had 175,000 miles on the car does it say oil needs to be changed at 3000 mile intervals full synthetic or not (I always use the full synthetic). When I pull in and tell them I only want the oil change I don't want to listen to the full recommended scheduled maintenance. I've been driving cars likely before their parents were born and I already know how to take care of them. That may be a Valvoline policy for up selling so I don't blame the employees. When I called to check the price I was quoted $85 after the $25 coupon from the young lady I was speaking with and upon check out it was $95. I wasn't going to squabble over the $10. Good friendly staff. If they are going to go by the recommended maintenance schedule for everything else then they need to be consistent with the oil change and not use the 3000 mile trick to get me in sooner.
