Aside from the usual upselling they subject you to they damaged my wife's car. They put the passenger seat all the way back not seeing a garbage can she has in her vehicle. My husband took my car in for an oil change and the first time I drove it after, I noticed the passenger side seat was all the way back and completely reclined. I asked him why and he said he didn't know--the old change people did it. So oil change people, I have no idea why you thought you had a reason to enter the car and recline the seat, but what you did tore two gouges in the leather in the back of the seat. I have a trash can behind it and the edges tore into the seat when you put it back all the way and then reclined it. I also know the trash can would have made a crunching sound before any of that happened which should have given you a clue you were damaging something. I came to this location waited an hour and a half (6 card ahead of me). When it was my turn pulled up, they checked my dip stick explained I have sludge in my oil and that my engine will not make it much longer. The technician wanted to do a cleaning of the oil tank, I declined the offer. Once I declined the offer he declined servicing my vehicle which was low on oil and desperately needed a change. His reasoning for declining was sludge although before I left he added to his reasoning. My make and model cars are known for the oil cap breaking when taken off to drain oil. So basically he just didn't want to work on my car. I went on my way, took at 10 minute drive to the next closest jiffy lube where they happily changed my oil with no mention of sludge or my engine being on the verge of blowing up. When I got in my car to leave, the a/c filter cover had not been replaced and was sitting on my front seat. An employee opened my glove box and replaced it. I drove away and noticed a low rumbling noise but had to get to an appointment. When I retuned the next day an employee discovered that a couple of clips to a metal cover (not sure for what part) were not snapped shut. He shut them and drive away. Coincidentally the next day while having my starter replaced at a local shop, it was discovered that Jiffy Lube never put in a new engine filter as I had requested. They removed the old one and never put on a new one!!!!!!! I went back and the manager discovered that they had failed to replace both my A/C and engine filter. STAY AWAY! When I go to a quick lube place like Jiffy Lube I expect them to be pushy and try to up sell. This location is no exception. They insisted that I needed brakes and rotors. I debated with them and they showed me a gauge that apparently said I had almost no brakes left. They gave me a quote for almost $500. They were very pushy and try to guilt you into more "repairs". Six weeks and hundreds of miles later I brought my car into my mechanic for something unrelated and asked them to look at the brakes. They showed me the same magic gauge that Jiffy Lube showed me and it said I had over 60% left. My mechanic gave my brakes a thumbs up. Good thing I didn't pay for a $500 fake brake job and good thing I have an honest mechanic. 2 stars only because they were fast. read more

I have not been to a jiffy live in years!!! It was time for an oil change and I honestly got a bit lazy to go to the dealership (since I have to wait about 1.5 hours) and get the oil change there - so decided while I was around town, why not give jiffy lube a try. The one thing that I don't like is the pricing for an oil change, $79.99 for a synthetic blend? I typically pay $40 - $50 max. But since I was already there and didn't want to wait that long I said - lets do it! I knew I had to get a cabin filter so I added that on - and knew I was paying a premium for it because K&M filters are less expensive ($39.99 reusable vs the $49.99 they sell) but again.. I was just like, the heck with it. It's a lease so I'm not married to it and his year is my last one so whatever. The process was pretty quick though - I believe I was in an hour in less than an hour. What I was a bit shocked about though was that they no longer vacuumed the inside of the vehicle or cleaned the interior Windows? The manager said its because to many people complained that they were not doing a good job so they discontinued that service. What shocks me is that - this is a national advertisement that is typically expected. Heck, if you are paying that price... You would think that this would be included... How hard is it to vaccine and clean interior Windows? All good I guess... The staff members were friendly but I will say the following, if you are going to give a person a 15% discount (without a coupon) maybe you should give it across the board, no? Again, all good... There was a reason I stopped going to jiffy lube years ago and this just reminded me why I stopped going there. I'm sure I won't be getting lazy any longer with the oil changes and if I ever did, just take it to my local tire shop that does the exact same thing hey do at nearly half the cost but just takes a bit longer. read more

I just left this location, which I have used several times before. Today I can say that it was far from pleasant. I arrived a half hour before closing for an oil change. Clearly, everyone wanted to leave at exactly closing time and they did. They did not have the part stock so they made us wait for some guy to bring us the part and they told us 5 minutes. What a HORRIBlE experience. I will never bring my car back here again. We came in and we're greeted promptly and friendly and that is about where the customer service ended. All we needed was an oil change and it didn't seem very busy at all so we sat and waited. Customer after customer came and went. Even people that arrived after us. After about an hour and 45 minutes we were finished. When it came time to pay, we tried to use a coupon when she told us not to worry she gave us a discount for the inconvenience. When we had first arrived, we showed them a Groupon we had purchased giving us $24 off. They said don't worry about that, we will give you a coupon for the same deal and you won't have to wait an hour for the Groupon to be valid. Turns out, the discount she gave us for the inconvenience was what was promised before the inconvenience even happened. We were too fed up to even bother. Couldn't wait to be done with this place. When I got into my car I noticed my windshield was absolutely filthy!!! Which is pretty odd because I noticed windshields being cleaned after service on other vehicles. It's very hard for me to get out and service my car because of my work schedule. Well, I got out of work a little early today and drove to a jiffy lube on hypoluxo and a good year service center. They close at 7pm and it was 6:30pm. Both had cars being worked on and they were extremely apologetic that they could not accommodate my service based on time. I thanked them and left to go home. While I was driving, I called another jiffy lube (this one) and the woman on the other line said to definitely come in and I would be taken care of. I showed up, they took my keys and off I went to the waiting room to read magazines. So, they close at 7 but finished my car by 7:30. (I got there about 10 til 7) Jessica was extremely helpful and accepted my online coupon. While they are more expensive than the dealer, tire shop, and other mechanic shops, the extra cost is worth it to save the time. Nothing is free, and convenience comes at a price. My daughter was in for an oil change today. Worker told her the oil pan needed to be replaced because the oil drain plug was stripped. Showed her an estimate made for another vehicle for $1042.50. Worker said they would fix the oil drain plug temporarily but she needed to get it fixed before the next oil change. Also told her she needed a new air filter and wiper blades and other things. She has new blades and air filter so said no. She agreed for whatever reason, said she was flustered, with a $25 tire rotation on essentially new tires. I will be taking a look at the drain plug she was given and the repair that they were supposed to have done to the cross threaded hole. If that isn't the correct plug and / or there isn't a repaired drain plug hole in the oil pan I will be reporting this a fraud to the police. read more
