HOW THE HELL DO YOU MISS THIS, JIFFY LUBE? IF THIS TIRE BLEW WHEN I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY I WOULD BE DEAD.
    Adam L.

Went to this JL 2 days ago. Not driving due to COVID has thrown off my auto maintenance because I've been working so much from home and I was far overdue for an oil change. I printed a coupon from the internet and drove over because the sign said that I can wait in my car (which was fine by me, not because of COVID but because it led me to believe this would be fast). When I pulled up to the bay, I was approached by the attendant and told him I needed an oil change and tried to hand him the coupon. He said they weren't sure if they were "accepting coupons." I don't know if this was a COVID thing or what, but I printed the coupon off their web site and it even pre-printed the JL address on the coupon (it even said it was good until Friday). Regardless, they took it. And I had to pull into the bay for the oil change. As I'm pulling in, the guy is standing in front of my SUV guiding me in properly. Out of NO WHERE as I'm pulling in, a female WALKS RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY CAR between ME and the guy guiding me, causing me to stamp on the brakes. What the hell, lady? So despite going to this JL multiple times in the past, they have no record of my car or service or anything so they're treating me like a new customer. Now, JL does a full check of your vehicle (allegedly). They check your blinkers, brake lights, reverse lights, tire pressure, etc. So I have to click and help the guy with all this stuff, turning on all my lights, making sure they work etc. The girl with the death wish comes over and tells me she needs my CC to pay for my oil change. With 15% off it was over $80. I don't get anything fancy, but she dismissed this as my needing more oil because of a bigger engine. (Sigh) fine. I chalked this up as "paying for convenience." I sign the CC receipt and Death Woman walks off and I'm all like, "Don't you say goodbye?" Then again she tried to throw herself in front of my car earlier so her life obviously sucks. She also looked pregnant so hanging around exhaust and chemicals.... okay.... so she's not smart. Fast forward to TODAY. I'm driving down the road on the way to a work appointment and a guy pulls up next to me and flags me down. He shouts, "your back tire is really messed up." I look at my dash and I don't have a "low pressure" warning. I said thank you and went to my appointment. When I get out of the car, I look at the tire. It looks like someone attacked it with a cheese grater (photo). How in the ever-loving name of Christ did Jiffy Lube MISS that? I thought they were supposed to check out your car with their inspection! Well here I am. 45 miles away from home and I have to make an emergency stop at a local Tire Kingdom for new tires. Had I know about this on MONDAY I could have had this taken care of this closer to home. Now I'm stuck in a waiting room trying to conduct business through my Government Mandated COVID Mask and I sound like a ball-gagged Darth Vader on the phone. So That was my last trip to Jiffy Lube of Land O Lakes.... home of the Pregnant Death Wish Woman and the Blind Attendants. My only concern is what else they missed.

    Waiting in line

My father has had two experiences at this Business location . I'll say they have both been great . I was with him on the last visit . We did have an easy time getting the oil changed , plus they checked air filter which did not need replacing . I like that someone shows it to you so that you can physically see what it looks like at the time of the oil change visit . Abby the customer service attendant was so very pleasant and helpful. One thing my family has enjoyed is the excellent customer service at this location. I had a discount that they gladly allowed me to use hassle free . My dad did also have the wipers replaced and add on service they offer. Simple waiting area but it was satisfactory. " Yelpies" check in 10$ discount. Ya!

Andrew here's proof of my comments that your Jiffy Lube is a rip off. I doubt you own a Lexus. I own two..z

My husband wanted to try a new place. We are happy we did. The customer service is great. Very welcoming. No "Gen-Z Glare". The inside waiting area is nice and relaxing. I would not have had an issue waiting there while the car was getting maintenance. However, our car was going to take awhile. They offered to drive us home and pick us up. This turned out convenient because we were able to continue our day at home. Highly recommend.

I recently had an alignment performed. I had serious concerns following the service. I have a Toyota 4Runner that just had new tires installed at Costco immediately prior to scheduling alignment service. There were 33,500 miles on the vehicle. The vehicle was in perfect condition. Prior to alignment, there were no signs or symptoms that indicated needing alignment. The reason I scheduled alignment was because Costco recommends alignment every 12.000 to 15,000 miles. I used the Costco program for a referral to Christian Brothers Automotive. Before the alignment, the vehicle had no steering wheel play, drove perfectly straight, and the steering was tight and responsive. After the alignment and before taking payment, Kevin showed me the attached measurements. He explained that a negative 2.9 caster measurement on the left and right indicated major problems that are expensive to repair: steering rack, tie rods, ball joints, and linkage. I asked Kevin how these very serious and expensive problems could suddenly appear on such a new vehicle. He provided no answer. This was a shock. I have had many services on a regular basis and no mechanical problems existed. There were no signs or symptoms indicating that my vehicle needed any repairs. Toyota has used Six Sigma principles for more than 35 years and is recognized for having one of the lowest errors per million of any automobile manufacturer. In my lifetime, I have not had a single costly or serious issue with a Toyota or Lexus. After alignment service, I experienced significant steering wheel play. The steering was alarmingly loose. I could move the wheel left to right a great distance without an immediate response from the vehicle. The vehicle pulled strongly toward the center of the road. A second of inattention or glance away from the road could result in a cataclysmic head on collision resulting and death to multiple drivers. These issues - loose steering and center drift - did not exist prior to service. A drift to the center line is extraordinarily unusual. A negative 2.9 front left and right measurement causes loose steering wheel play and the very unusual drift to the center line of the lane. This measurement could have alerted Christian Brothers that the alignment was not done correctly. Instead, I was led to believe I needed thousands of dollars of repairs. The caster measurement is normally a positive 2 to 6. A negative measurement is very unusual and indicates the alignment was not done correctly or there are the very serious and expensive repairs needed. Google says: 1 Negative caster of this magnitude can cause: 2 Excessive steering wheel play and looseness. 3 Reduced self-centering of the steering wheel. 4 Poor straight-line stability and drifting behavior. I called Christian Brothers immediately after leaving and Kristen gave approval to come back. I am thankful that I went through Costco because I was not sure what would happen. I asked Kristen about a fuse when I arrived. Kristen said it was $175 for diagnostics and explained that some vehicles need a $400 software to repair some issues. For example, a new Jeep had a drivers seat lumbar support stuck in the fully extended position. This could only be repaired with a $400 software update. Members of the fellowship appeared to come in for service, call the owner and chit chat with the owner in the lobby, get service at no cost and immediately leave. After the alignment, I was worried. I did not sleep the night before returning for the alignment measurement adjustment. Christian Brothrs completed a re-inspection of the alignment measurements. The caster angle measurements appear to have a positive range. The steering is once again tight and responsive and there appears to be no unusual center drift at the moment. My vehicle is back to normal and has tight steering responsiveness and no unusual drift. This was a stressful experience and emotionally exhausting. I missed work on 2 days to have the work done and repaired. After the alignment was repaired, the AC was blowing hot, even when turned off. My AC was ice cold before I went to Christian Brothers. Now, it blows lukewarm. I did consult Google about this issue and talks to a neighbor that worked in an auto dealership for 30 years doing maintenance and repairs on vehicles and has had his own business for the last 10 years. I have seen my auto mechanic neighbor consult Google when I have a question about something. I also see my welder neighbor, who has been a welder for 40 years, consult Google on some repairs that are not directly related to welding even though he has decades of experience with electric, plumbing and refurbishing and repairing boats and vehicles. Going to Christian Brothers was a terrifying nightmare.

The shop sent an approval/deny request by text for additional work, and I did not approve it through that system. I also only asked questions about pricing over the phone. I called because they wanted to charge me almost $500 for a part and around 200 for labor. The OEM part goes for no more than $130. On the phone call I did not clearly authorize the repair. Despite that, I was told the work had been done. When I questioned it, I was told I had given verbal approval, which I disputed. I was not willing to pay 700 plus dollars for this repair when I knew It was not worth that. I told them to go ahead and remove the part they replaced and give me back the original piece. This ended in a heated conversation over the phone. When I went to pick my car up, I asked questions about what was done and tried to get clarification, I felt like my concerns were brushed off, and I was not allowed to speak with the technician who worked on my vehicle. They refused all communication and I was asked to leave. After leaving, I noticed serious issues related to the coolant system. My coolant reservoir was completely empty, my heat would only work while driving and not at idle, my coolant temperature reached 258°F while driving, and I found what appeared to be a loose hose/coolant residue and a damaged or broken-looking cap/part near the reservoir area. I am including photos of what I found. Regardless of the disagreement about authorization, my biggest concern is that my vehicle did not appear to be returned to me in a safe or properly completed condition. I paid for the diagnostic, but I left feeling extremely uncomfortable with the lack of communication, the lack of clear answers, and the condition of the vehicle afterward. I would strongly recommend getting everything in writing, asking for detailed documentation, and carefully checking your vehicle before leaving this shop. Or avoid this place at all cost!!!!!

We both figured it was due to the after market mirror I told him to go with and not one directly from the dealer. We were right. He ordered a new one that would fix the issue and was back out to install within days. Even though I should've gone with the dealer mirror initially, it was still much cheaper. His prices, service, warranty and kindness are unmatched. Highly recommend!
