This Jiffy Lube on Tweedy in South Gate has honestly been my go-to spot for years just because it's close to home and convenient whenever I don't have the time to do my own oil change. I've brought both my work truck and personal truck here multiple times and overall it's always been a pretty straightforward experience. Yeah, prices have definitely gone up over the years, but honestly that's everywhere nowadays. They usually have coupons going around too, and that little discount always helps. The staff has always treated me good and they get you in and out pretty quick. One thing I respected was there was a time after an oil change my truck had a small oil leak. I brought it back, and instead of giving me the runaround they took responsibility, fixed the issue, topped off the oil, and got me handled. That alone earned my respect because mistakes can happen anywhere, it's how people handle them that matters. Also, if you're not into all the upselling stuff, you can straight up tell them and they respect it. That's something I appreciate. MESSED UP MY CAR!!! Took it for an oil change was told my cover gasket was leaking. Had them replace it just so they can mess up sensors surrounding the gasket. But did they say anything NO! just put the cover gasket on and sent me on my way. Mind u almost $500 later. 2 days later cover gasket it leaking, all my warning lights turned on because now I have oil in my coils and spark plugs. Took it back for them to place everything and still months later having a leaking problem. So at this point I just took it to Honda. Manager doesn't know what he's talking about has to call his mechanic for answers. And the mechanic can't put a cover gasket on right. Flat and leveled. After trying twice. SO DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE!!! Unless u want a bigger headache. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. Horrible service. Went in to get my engine oil changed and they told me I needed to get my transmission oil changed as well. I said okay go ahead, given that I was already there. But now my transmission started leaking, which wasn't before I went for service. Went back and they told me that they had nothing to do with it rather than trying to help me out. Yeah they were the last ones to touch my car. So another inconvenience with this location. They left my maintenance required light on! I thought something was wrong with my car. Please complete the job. Even if you don't clean my windshield or carpets. Just please do the basics of the oil job right! I had to come back another day with a long long waiting time to get them to turn the light off waisting all my time. Horrible service by all 3 employees that are currently at the Jiffy Lube. I am hoping this is all their first day and they do not know or understand the company policy of complimentary top off services. To give the reasoning of having a down system, being a franchise, or being too busy is not acceptable. I shouldn't have an employee try to convince me that I do not need a top off when Jiffy Lubes website encourages their customers to take advantage of it and have had no issues getting top off services in the past. If you value your car, don't go to this location. Brought my wife's car in for rear drum brakes and the car left making noises it's never made before. I brought the car in 3 days in a row to explain the situation and this Jiffy Lube location wouldn't fix it. For paying $700 for a job I would hope that they would take the situation a little more seriously than they did. Instead one the employees suggested it might be the front rotor/brake system which was not possible since those had been serviced in August of this year. If you value your car at all please go elsewhere. Even for a simple routine oil change this paticular location managed to forever change the health of my car. I just went in for a simple oil change which i stated at the very beginning of the process. Before my car was even in the service bay, they said the estimate for my oil change and tire rotation would be $170+! I never said anything about getting my tires rotated...so I'm not sure why they tried to upsell me. I later agreed to do the tire rotation and oil change for an agreed price. Approximately and hour a 10 minutes later my car was finished and I started driving home. Didn't even get down the street and my car starting misfiring and completely shut off and had a rough idle. I immediately called them back to address this issue and the blame was placed all on me ! They stated my car was already misfiring which it never was! I've reached out to cooperate and had no response yet but this company has liability insurance that should take care of something like this. Ridiculous! Do not come Here! read more

Came in for just oil change. They try to push synthetic. I said regular oil please. He say ok. Half hour later he wanna do plugs tire rotation and other things i say next time. Do not ever let your loved ones go to this Jiffy Lube in Lynwood. I love Jiffy Lube but this location is a rip off. My daughter went there and was charged $80 for an oil change for a 4 cylinder domestic car. They told her it was $80 for "parts and labor". It's an oil change!!! An oil filter and 5 qts of your bulk oil that you buy in barrels. I told her not to go to this one but it was in the neighborhood. Shame they take advantage of the people in their own backyard for an extra $50 on their books. They should re-train their management to care more about customers returning. read more

My maintenance light came on I took my car to jiffy lube for an oil change they have a 29.99 special oil change standard oil ,fill all fluids vacuum the inside and clean all the windows.The staff are mostly younger people in their twenties but very professional and good at their jobs.i was in and out in less then 45 minutes.The manager let me know my engine was leaking oil from the gasket and they could change it for a cheap price I will take the car in again and write a new review to let you know what happened read more
