Came here for an emissions test as apparently they are one of the few shops left that do the sniffer test. I tried coming a couple days in a row and each time there was a 40+ min wait right in the middle of the day. Eventually I had no choice but sit and wait. I waited for an hour, only to get in the shop and have them tell me that they wouldn't do the emissions on my car. I've been here twice in the last few months, and service has always been prompt, up-front, and honest with their pricing. I initially came in for emissions and synthetic oil change on two vehicles. They pointed out my brakes would need to be replaced soon on the SUV (something I knew). I came in the second time for the brake pad replacement (all 4 wheels) and am happy with the onsite service. I took my "new to me" car to this location today to get an oil change and an air filter. They told me a special tool was needed to get the air filter off when they saw this screw in the pic attached, however I looked it up on YouTube when I got home and this screw has nothing to do with holding the air filters in place. Just the clamps on the sides of the filter, so the only special tool needed is your fingers! I'd think someone who does this for a living would be smart enough to google "how to" on something simple like this before turning away business and telling a customer a line of bs. read more

So this is the second jiffy lube I have left before they touched my car. When I arrived, they said the truck in the bay was having a lot of work done so it would take longer than usual. They assured me I would be done in 45 min. 60 min later the truck was still in the bay and several cars that arrived after me had been helped and left. When I asked how much longer, they suggested I move to a different bay that would be done in 15 min Well, they lied time the first time. Why should I believe them this time. Been going here for a few years now. I've always been treated really well. Today I needed Emission Test. Arrive 5 minutes before they officially opened. A guy came out right away and greeted me, took my paperwork and coupon, invited me inside. Offered me coffee or water. I was fully taken care of and out the door and on my way in 13 minutes. They gook care of the state paperwork too. Put the sticker on my license plate and sent me on my way. Doesn't get any better than that. I'll definitely come back. read more

I have had nothing but trouble with these guys. The first time I went in to get my tags for my car and they said they couldn't give them to me at this location. Today I went in to get an oil change. I pulled up but nobody came out to offer me any help. There were 5 people standing around one car. I got out of my car and went inside, but was completely ignored there as well. First time I asked them to change my air filter they said it would take 3-4 hours I called again about it a few days later the manager said they could do it and I brought it in they changed it within 30 min they said they can't change lights on my 2006 vehicle which another one could. After I got my oil changed all of my car lights came on. I also had a discount and it was not applied and they still charged me full amount . I never give one star reviews unless it is really deserved. I was skeptical because of so few reviews. I should have listened. My first hint should have been the last time I got an oil change there, they left the rubber gasket from the old oil filter on and it caused my car to leak for the first time ever. Accidents happen, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and got my emissions and safety done because they were open on Sunday and my car was overdue. There were six cars in line for oil changes so I thought I would have to wait, but the lady came out and said she could have it done in 15 minutes. No line for the testing. I was so naive and trusting. I'm assuming the lady went on a break right then because it took 10 minutes to pull the car in. (I actually timed all of this with my phone. No exaggerations.) It then took exactly 34 minutes for her to do the testing. Okay, maybe something just wasn't working out right. She then finishes up, pulls my car out front and leaves it there with the driver's side window open and the keys in the ignition. Not a big deal if she came and got me right then I guess. She didn't. She then disappeared. Again. For another 20 minutes. It is Magna, after all, so I went and got my keys out of the ignition before my car disappeared to limbo with the lady that works there. That's when I saw the greasy fingerprints all over the steering wheel and gear shift. How professional... After seeing her reappear and randomly meander through their bays for ten minutes and drink from an oil-stained water bottle three times in that 10 minutes, she finally came and got me only to tell me that my car failed the safety inspection. I thought, okay, maybe the brake pads are getting thin. It's been a while since I replaced them. Easy fix. NOPE. She told me it failed because of the tint in the back window covering the center brake light. Guess what? You guessed it... It's the FACTORY TINT. That car has never had aftermarket tint on it. We have had that car since 2003 and never had that come up as an issue when getting it registered. I then spent the next 10 minutes explaining to her how wrong she was and she wouldn't let it go. She KNEW, WITHOUT A DOUBT that I had aftermarket tint on the back covering the brake light. Finally, the manager (I assume he was the manager because he was doing more work than anyone else there) came over and asked what was going on. I told him the situation and he went and checked the back window, printed a new inspection sheet saying I fixed the brake light problem and gave it to me. All I could do was look at that lady with a frustrated, evil stare... If you've been keeping track, all told I was there for 1 hour and 29 minutes. And my car was the only one getting emissions testing done. I will never go here again. I have had good experiences with Jiffy Lube but never at this location. Seriously. Don't go here. You will waste a good couple hours of your life and only leave frustrated. read more

It's a typical Jiffy Lube. My oil was changed, all is fine with the car. I do feel the customer service was slightly iffy to be honest. During their upsale process, the employee stated the oil I needed to get costs $69.99. I understand it's their job to get me to spend more, but he also tried to claim that's the same oil that I've gotten there the past three times I've been to Jiffy Lube. That is simply not true. I've never spent 70 bucks on an oil change. I also had a 10 dollar off coupon, and I had to remind the employee twice, then at the end, he still tried charging me the full amount, and I had to tell him again to take the 10 dollars off. I typically change my own oil and occasionally go somewhere to get it done but was extremely happy with how easy it was at this location. Shane helped me and was super awesome to work with and very accommodating. I got in right away and it didn't take long at all to be out of there. Over the years with various cars owned by all members of our family. We and my father especially has been real satisfied with the cost and service of your oil changes and other services (as applicable). The cost has always been reasonable. However that no longer is the case. As yesterday when my father took his vehicle into your location here in Utah located at: 3444 S 7200 West St, Magna, UT 84044 He was totally Hosed on the deal. In the past a regular oil change and lube and i and we all can attest to this - would be $29.95 then adding a filter and any other incidentials - the approx out the door would never be more than $50.00 However yesterday June 10th my dad was charged $43.99 for a oil change and filter, $18.50 for a air filter and then another whopping $69.99 for a cabin filter. These cabin Filters never cost that much before. The total cost was $141.78 minus a $20 coupon bringing it down to $121.78. This is a total HOSING and Highway robbery. If i (he) knew this was the cost i would have gone to Walmart. And he was going to do a second car and he did. He did go to Walmart for their extended oil and lube. ONLY PAID for everything and out the door $38.00 Think we will be going to WALMART FROM NOW ON!! you all are crooks and frauds. LIARS AND SCAMMERS!!! I had been a Jiffylube customer for years. I appreciated that I could get a quick oil change for a reasonable price. They always sent me coupons that I could utilize for my next visit. I also appreciated that I never felt pressured into anything extra. This all changed my last visit and I will never return to any Jiffylube location. At my oil change, I was told my serpentine belt was cracked and needed replaced. I was quoted $80 and but told I could get $15 off. I thought it strange that the belt was cracked, as we just had it replaced the prior year, so I declined. I notified my husband of what I was told and he contacted a close friend of his who is a certified automotive technician. He told us if we purchased the part, he would replace it for free, as it is a 15-20 minute job. We purchased the part and met with the technician, only be told that we were lied to. Our serpentine belt is in immaculate condition without a single crack to be found. I am able to return the part, but what a waste of everyone's time. Lost a loyal customer who serviced 2 vehicles over $80. Hope it was worth it. Another incident that I believe is worth mentioning is that about a year ago, my husband went for an oil change on his car, to this same location. The technicians lost the bolts to his skid plate and replaced them with zip ties and failed to tell him. We only found out after the zip ties broke and the skid plate fell off. read more

This location is always a shit show I don't know why I keep going back (only one by my house). Pull up today employee is chatting with his girlfriend blocking the bays, he sees me doesn't ask her to move just keeps chatting and kissing. Another employee asks me to wedge around and pull up to the bay. There are 4 employees there only 2 are working. Both are over in the emission bay, 1 is in the office and the others out with his girl. There are 3 cars waiting for an oil change and no oil is getting changed. After several minutes lover boy finally walks back in but chats with the 2 guys in the bay. Finally he goes under the only vehicle in the bay and dumps the oil. So we have 1 guy (finally) doing oil changed with 4 cars there. Just walked out. They need to get it together! read more

This place is getting worst.they suck. I give it one star because I had a coupon that dropped 20 bucks off the oil change; they still tried to over charge me more. Rotating door of new employees. They told me It would take 45 minutes for oil change, no problem. Come to find out they let one of their buddies use there tools and place to fix a dented rim and the buddy took up one of the lanes for a hour or I would of been in and out in 15. Several customers annoyed with that too. I guess it was great for the buddy? I also didn't have a light out, oil leak and filter problem till I showed up that day to get an oil change. My son took his vehicle (1993 Plymouth Voyager) in for some routine maintenance that included an oil change. Everything seemed fine with the car until a couple days later when the oil pan started to leak. At first it was a little drip here and there and then it just kept getting worse and worse. Pretty soon it was all over the driveway - he took it back to Jiffy Lube and they refused to do anything about the CRACKED oil pan. They wouldn't look at it or even acknowledge that they were the ones who over tightened the oil plug!!! They said he wasn't even in the computer system and they did NOT work on his car! I have been sitting here for almost an hour just to get a basic oil change. There were no cars ahead of me. Currently there is one guy working and 3 others walking around doing absolutely nothing. Their car knowledge is very lacking. Every question I ask they have to go find someone else to get an answer. Very basic questions. If you have any sort of time commitment, do not come here. I will not be coming back. If you want to still go to a jiffy lube, the one in Sugarhouse is very quick and efficient. read more

I had a great experience with this location. They were fast. They did show me my air filter and it was dirty and full of bugs, so I added that. But all in all it took 15 minutes, the new oil was clean (yes I checked!). I saw the old filter get thrown away and new filter installed. With my discount coupon, I got a good deal. I went to get an oil change and was told the wait would be only a few minutes. I waited a hour and a half before they even looked at my car after pulling it in their garage. After another half and hour went by they said the drain plug was stuck. I then just said forget it couldn't wait any longer I already waisted two hours of my day there when it should have been 30 minutes at the most and to please stop what they were doing I was going to go as I was already late for the plans I was to attend for the evening. Took my truck there last night and waited for over an hour before they they told me their emissions testing machine was down. I had told them what I was there for when I arrived, parked where they told me to, and watched them testing other vehicles before they came to feed me this obvious lie. I'd had enough at this point and walk out to leave, only to see that my truck had been moved from where I parked it. When I got in to leave I found they broken the top off of the gear shift lever and then tried to play stupid about it. Do not take your vehicles there. read more

A waste of time and money. They will never pass your vehicle for state inspection the first time, they always fail it for stupid ticky tack things. After taking both my car and truck to them I learned the hard way. The second time with my truck I was told it would take 45 min, an hour and a half later after they had played musical cars in the inspection bay my truck was finally done. I understand things take awhile sometimes but don't tell me 45 min when its an hour and a half. They failed it because they say it needs mud flaps. Mind you my truck is stock from the factory with no lift kit and has never failed inspection in 14 years, it has never needed mud flaps and still does not need mud flaps! However they won't pass it unless I put them on. I won't and I won't go back to a Jiffy Lube! read more
