I could tell I was having some sort of battery issue, but I don't know a lot about cars, so I did my best with what knowledge I did have. Long story short, I was stranded for a period until my husband came to jump my car battery so we could get to the nearest Autozone and get some help. I've had great experiences with them in the past and this time was no different. The parking lot has a few entrances which was sort of weird, but easy enough to figure out. When we entered a nice guy named Bailey came and asked how he could help us. We described our situation and he said he could come test it. He was a good listener. He came out and attempted to test the battery, no charge at all. We decided collectively that we should get a new one. He quickly and efficiently looked up my car make, model, year, and engine and gave us a few options of batteries. We selected one, and he brought it out and asked if we needed help. We said YES! He was great. We chatted while he worked and I held a light. He was very kind and knowledgeable. Turns out he has only worked there 2 months so far. Bailey was a fantastic representative of autozone and just seemed like a good person in general. He went above and beyond to help us out while also being personable and professional. I would recommend this location to anyone and I have only had good experiences with the autozone brand.

As a 20 year Police officer in this great State of Utah who now works in a health saving medical field, I wanted to share my negative experience. I went in to the South Jordan O'REILLY'S on redwood road and just north of 10600 South to price a part for my infinti. They gave me the price and information about the part. I then went to my car and called AutoZone to compare. AutoZone was about 30 dollars less. I confirmed the part number including manufacturer as the exact same part. I walked back into O'Reilly and told them AutoZone has the exact same part for less and if they would price match. the older gentleman said sure thing and looked up the information on Autozones website to confirm. He found the part and then asked who I figured was the manager or ASSistant manager how to do it. The person he asked said they do not price match with AutoZone but he would give me an extended warranty on the part. I asked them if it was a company policy that they don't ( knowing they do from past experiences). He said yes. I knew at this point it was one of 3 things. 1. Because I was dressed in a tie that he figured he could get full price. 2. He was having a bad day and didn't feel like keeping a customer 3. He did not like that I was not Caucasian Any of the above reason is unacceptable and I will never go to that store again. Just so you know. I called the Riverton store and they were very helpful even tho they did not have the part. The person on the phone confirmed that O'Reilly's does price match and he directed me to the draper store to pick up the part. I arrived at the draper store, picked up the price matched part and continued my day. SOUTH JORDAN O'REILLY'S on redwood road and 10600 South. You have a bigger issue than you realize with your staff or maybe you do and prefer to do business that way. I will do my best to tell everyone I come across about my experience with your store. I may even post it on social media in hopes it gets picked up by a news station. I protected your right to be able to deny someone service. Atleast be honest and say you will not price match in this situation instead of lying

Called the store for warranty information and my purchase record wasn't available? I found my receipt and went the store in person. They honored the warranty and placed a new battery on the counter. I asked them if they had tools because it looked like I was the mechanic that day. They offered up the tools and I switched the battery out. FYI: A good auto parts store would offer to install and battery as well as have my purchase information in their system. Cast in point: Always keep your receipts because without due diligence the new battery would have cost me out of pocket. Seems a little sketchy that my warranty information wasn't in their system. Just saying and always make sure your purchase information is in their system.
