*KEEPS GETTING TAKEN DOWN* *REPOST* I took my car to Jiffy Lube in Merced Ca on V Street for an oil change and left with an UNSAFE DRIVING Vehicle!! My air intake was ripped in the processes of the worker putting it back to its original position. The car was APPROVED READY & DEEMED Safe to Drive by multiple employees. I didn't find out my air intake was ripped until the next day on the highway. My car bogged out and dropped MPH quickly causing cars behind me to slam on their brakes and go around. This could've easily caused a tragic accident and nobody would've even known that JIFFY Lube on V Street in Merced was responsible!! My last post got deleted here in Yelp about this incident. Woke up this morning and got into my car with an alert that I had low oil, OOPS!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Called this Jiffy Lube and asked if I came in right now would they have time and they said yes of course, come over![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I came in, they helped me right away AND HAD HOT COFFEE INSIDE!!! :)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was in and out in no time! They cleaned up my windows for me too! NEVER GO TO JIFFY LUBE. I go in without an oil leak and come out with one. When I retuned after I noticed the leak, they told me it was already there. I'd leave 0 stars if I could. My buddy took his car in for an oil change. During the oil change he sustained damages to his intake which lead to his car rapidly decelerating on the freeway from 85mph down to high 50's low 60's. There are now 3 dash lights on in the vehicle....The oil tech failed to mention he damaged the vehicle causing thousands of dollars more in damages. We plan to take legal action as this is unacceptable in any circumstances. I do not take this lightly, simply because no one was injured doesn't make this okay. They took over an hour and a half for a simple oil change. When I arrived there was one car in the bay already being worked on. My car was pulled in behind it. About 20 minutes later, the car in front of mine is pulled out and another car pulled up and is put into the other bay area. About 5 minutes later another car pulls up and is put into the other bay behind the car that came after me. They begin working on both of the cars that came after me, before starting to change the oil on my car. The car that came in after me was finished before work on my car is even started. So I ask the woman at the desk why my car was skipped, she said she didn't know why they skipped my car but it's still going to be a while. When they finally finished, I presented the coupon I have for $25 off, that I presented to the woman at the desk when I first spoke to her, to which she replied, a $15 credit was already applied and she wouldn't use my $25 off. One of the worst experiences I've had. I used to frequent this place for some basic needs, and the work and employees have always been knowledgeable and nice; today, however, felt like dealing with the C-string of a basketball team. Not only was my time spent there longer than they quoted me, I was passed up by 3 other customers who came AFTER ME; one of the workers ended up breaking something while doing his work and had to leave to AutoZone to find a replacement (something that Segio neglected to tell me for the 1 hour said employee took after stumbling around wondering what to do after he broke it). To me, he looked like a newbie who hadn't even gotten out of auto school, but it turns out he was the manager at the location. As I said, I was the last one there, even though I came before 3 other customers who came and left in no time (one of which they spent a little "extra" time with for the sake of the style of vehicle, in my opinion). They never even bothered to apologize for the wait time until the end of the job, which was already WAAAAY past closing time. They even left a dirty rag in the undercarriage of my car. This is my review; I was gonna be lenient with the stars after hearing and confirming some information, but the truth needs to be heard or there will never be change. read more

Consumer beware. I went to Jiffy Lube to have my transmission serviced. I was informed that there may be an "upcharge" if the fluid was special. I asked for them to check and give me a price/cost before I made a decision. The tech checked the price and the price went up by $2 and some change, so I agreed to the service. My vehicle went in for the service. About 15mins later I was approached and informed that it would be more because of the fluids used. Needless to say, I had my vehicle pulled back out and I will NEVER go back to any JiffyLube store. This is a great place to go if you want to get ripped off.. If you go to this store, don't be surprised if the price changes even as you are paying if they see you have more money in your wallet or purse. Again, consumer/buyer beware.. stay away if you do not want to get ripped off. read more

Jiffy lube stay taxing, they was finna charge me 200 to do both my head lights, including, moving everything that was in the way of the headlights, (air filter, "bumber", etc.) I foreal went to autozone got my lights and did them my self with out having to move anything, only paid 45 for the lights instead of 200. and Im a women ("we don't always know everything ") lol yea right. I know about cars but don't have my own tools which I started buying so I can start doing my car my self. But I don't know I guess it was worth a try. They doing to much. Thanks. read more

The reason I have been going there for years is because even though the personnel changes quite often, the service remains consistent and courteous. Have never had any issues there....never any pressure to purchase additional services or products...only suggestions with good information Have been to places where they show you what you think is your components, and then they charge you but don't replace the items. Please avoid shady ass places like this location. I always get my car service at Honda but couldn't get an appointment and decided to come here since the reviews were okay. A couple of months passed by, I recently went back to Honda to get my car serviced because I drive a lot from the Bay Area to Merced. A Honda agent told me, my car is missing 4 out of the 5 screws that holds the metal sheet secure onto the bottom of my car. The last people who touched my car were the employees from Jiffy Lube. Also, when I was at jiffy lube the guy tried to charge me for a more expensive oil that I repeated told him that I didn't want. Because I called him out he decided to give me $10 off. read more

My girlfriend just got back from here after an oil change while I was on the phone with her. I could easily tell that they were trying to rip her off as I could hear everything that the clerk was telling her. She had brought in a coupon for 26.99 and gave her a bill for $46.99 and when she went to pay, she asked why it was so much considering she had her coupon. The clerk gave her a very diplomatic bullshit answer and after several back and forth banter, finally agreed that the total will meet the coupon. Aside from this, she came in having problems with her battery, and the employees left her car on with the radio during the change. When her car didn't start, she asked them for jumper cables and they said they didn't know if they had any. Really? An oil change place that doubly serves as a place to diagnose your car doesn't have jumper cables. Come on. What we have her is yet another establishment that tries to take advantage of people who have little knowledge of cars and takes that instinct and tries to slyly rip off customers. A place like this does not deserve service from both the knowledgeable consumer and clueless consumer alike. read more
