Update: I've reported doxxing by the owner to the appropriate authorities. Everyone should be WARNED that she may dox you if you post a negative review like she did to me. As you can see by the owners response they just don't get it. At all. And there are other customers giving the same feedback. Also the reviews about how if you complain the owner attacks you are spot on. I'm not sure what the owner is playing at by posting my full name and where I live. This is very troubling behavior. Is she using information I provide when I get my car serviced and making it public? I'll be taking this to the appropriate authorities. First the dual price is NOT told to you when you select the service you want, give them your keys, and go sit in the lobby. It's only told to you when you go to pay after the service is completed. There are signs in the lobby. I didn't notice them until it was too late. I'm sorry but credit card fees are just the price of doing business. I'm paying $100+ for the service. You can eat the $3. Or don't advertise a price on huge banners outside. It's a bait and switch. Outside the service is $99. Inside they charge you $104. Again it's not about the $4. It's about the dishonesty. I explained the situation, and he quickly checked all my tires, letting me know the right front was low--but took care of it right away and made sure everything was good. This wasn't my first visit either. Just two weeks earlier, I had my oil changed and got my smog certificate done there. Each time I've come in, I've been greeted in a friendly, professional manner, and the service has always been efficient and reliable. Returned to speedee. Took a check to avoid fee. They don't take checks!!! Pay the fee, go to the atm, or go elsewhere. My choice will be the 3rd. It is just principle for me. I think the technicians that work there are awesome and trust them. However, the owner states she charges customers to keep cost down and to not raise prices. If I could give 10 stars I would. I have a lowered car and they accommodated me with no issues. Their front office employee, Sammy is amazing! She was incredibly sweet and helpful on the phone. The gentlemen who did the oil change was very nice and answered a couple questions I had with no hesitation. I went to get an oil change had to wait about an hour to even get helped bc it was busy got my oil changed ,checked the next day and their was no oil in my car the oil stick was empty no oil on it whatsoever. tried to get a refund and asked for video proof and everything ,got sent a video of the oil being put in but not sure if they didn't put enough bc I had nothing in my car. had to waste my own money and put oil in myself . I have no leak in my car whatsoever bc it took the oil I put into the car so I now wasted 80$ on the oil change when no oil was put in it and another 50$ on the oil I had to buy to put in myself. don't come here they will not do ur work properly and will not bother to refund u ! read more

Called this place to get my vehicle repaired after it failed SMOG test. Told the lady who answered that I had a certificate from the Bureau of Automotive Repair and explained that they were listed on the BAR website as an authorized repair center. She cut me off and said they were not part of the program. I explained that they were listed on the site and she said it was only specific locations. I asked her if they were on Monte Vista; she said yes and then rudely told me that the website must be incorrect. In calling the BAR I discovered that they are, indeed, correctly listed on the BAR website. read more

Update: after my initial review was posted, the owner felt the need to message me personally not one but twice. But this time decided to take a much more unprofessional tone. Instead of trying to understand or acknowledge the problem or take accountability, she decided to point the finger and say that I had given my keys to the cashier which caused a delay. When that in fact is not true and my keyes were handed directly to the attendant that serviced the vehicle. She goes on about fact checking and telling me to make sure I have all the facts Bottom line: I still stand by my initial review. It seems that if you ever have an issue with their service, they will just turn around and blame the customer and or make up stories that are not completely factual. If this has thought me anything it is that after my experience and after the messages from the owner, I will never be going to this location or any other ones. Also, if you are looking for a better experience, try taking it to the dealer for service. From my experience it is always a better service and just about the same price if not less. Came here for brakes and rotator change. Was told it's $475 for front brakes and both rotors. Their exact words "we use top quality parts" and then I see AutoZone pull up with brakes that I saw on autozone website for like 35$ lmao "top quality" guys. Top quality rip off ahahaha only forced to pay because we were traveling n out of town. To add, my husband asked the guy if he could do better on the price then he says yes his boss says we could take $20 off at checkout. We wait an hour then when it's time to pay they tell us to get the 20$ off we have to find it online, wasting our time and making it seem like we were getting a deal when it was a coupon found online. Rude..Rude Manager. We don't owe you nothing speedee!! Been coming here for years - Manager makes people feel like he's doing them a favor when he is checking them in for service. He treats every customer like cattle. @ The owner - I think You know that your manager is rude. Look at all the complaints below. Think of how many times people do not write reviews or complaints. I called the other SpeeDee Oil shops to find out owners name and they asked why I was inquiring. The Irony was they knew who the manager was and were not surprised about what I had experienced. @ all yelpers- This is not the first time with this manager. I just finally choose not to remain silent after many years of coming here. I am recommending countryside 10 minute lube as an alternative. @ owner Maybe you should just put him in the pit or have him manage operations.... And never let him interface with customers till you send him to some customer service training. I don't need you to contact me because I am sure I am not the first person to call this out. I've been bringing my car here for what feels like forever now. I'm a single female and know next to nothing about cars (stereotypical and true). My first encounter I was upsold spark plugs and the manager then called me at home and said he was reversing the charge because that isn't how they did business (they had just opened). I keep cars forever - they kept my 20+ year Civic running and let me know when I was moving from routine maintenance to redoing things to keep it going. Now they take care of my 2009 Accord and my moms 2000 4Runner. I drive up and they call me by name. Wayne, the manager, remembers me and my story and has asked follow up questions about how my mom is doing. I know I can go. Here and trust the service I'm getting. Used to go here to change my oil but i'm no longer going here because my belongings were stolen. I recently changed my oil and when the mechanic came to give me the usual talk to change my air filter because it was "old" I refused. I thought nothing of it until recently. I had a gift card in my compartment that you need to access in order to take the air filter out. When i went to get my gift card it was gone. No one other than me has access to my car. It's been a while since this occurred so i doubt they'll do anything about it. Who knows what else they took that i haven't noticed yet. I guess the one to blame is me for being careless. I don't have proof and that's my fault for not noticing sooner. BE WARY and keep track of your belongings. I don't know the mechanics name but it was a lady that showed me the air filter so i assume it was her that took it. read more

I went to SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service today and had my truck serviced in Turlock. The service technician stated everything looked good after the oil change and I paid my bill. I returned home and found oily fingerprints on my drivers side door, the left, right and front of the truck hood along with grease smears on my truck driver's side bed rail. This was the first time I've had issues with this location but my next oil change will be where I can inspect what's going on and keep my white Chevrolet truck white not greasy white. read more

While there they convinced my wife to get the transmission flushed in our Cadillac and after that it's had nothing but problems with the transmission, costing me over 3k to replace it, seems like they just take advantage of women because they never asked me when I go there nor would I have wanted them to do a half azz flush where they don't even take the filter out and replace it, never again will I go back there, dealership said to never do that kind of transmission service read more

Staff is always so kind ! I went in for an oil change and the guy saw my mileage and told me it was recommended I get a transmission fluid exchange. I told him I had gone to the one in Modesto in front of the neighborhood Walmart and they told me they couldn't change my transmission fluid because it had a special type of lock. They did my oil change and was fast but didn't tighten the bolts to my undercarriage of my Civic. After driving out of town, the next day my undercarriage came undone and had to take it to a mechanic to fix it. Not coming back here again. read more

I went in and asked for an oil change they charged me the normal rate for the service and I went on my way. I went to get my oil changed at another shop ( mind you I have not taken my vehicle to another shop since I got it changed) and the other shop told me that the oil plug bolt inter my car was tightened way beyond where it should be and was stripped. They would have to break it and I would have to buy another one. When I called and talked to the owner she said there was nothing they could do. I DO NOT recommend coming here what so ever save your money and go to some place where they will actually do their job correctly and not have to charge you extra money for fixing something that they messed up in the first place. read more

Wait almost 2 hours for an oil change that was suppose to be an hour wait. They have me behind 2 cars in a bay that did not move, then moved my car to another bay behind a car that came in 1.5 after me. This place needs better management and some type of order. I could have just dropped it off it was going to take that long. Then they tried to sell me extra stuff. It's like no I have been here way too long.
