I have to update my review. They say when you go to a fish store if the fish stinks from the head do not buy it! well that's Jiffy Lube. I gave a blow average review and sure enough management left me a voicemail after hours not during the daytime. I had the courtesy to return their call three times I left a message and I gave my personal cell phone number I'm still waiting for a call. I hope upper management reads this and understands you just can't give a lip service in today's modern society for correction of errors. The regional Director obviously is setting a tone that below average work And just lip service to a client is tolerated. Service was quick and didn't take long which was the only pro but I had asked for both an oil change along with brake fluid exchange and cabin filter replacement. When I returned to pick up the vehicle about 30 mins later, I was told they could not change out the brake fluid in my bmw because they could not override the computer and they did not have the cabin filter in stock. I wish they would have told me all of that before I had started the service because I ended up having to make a second trip back to dealer for service anyway and would have saved money just doing it all together in the first place. read more

I came in, no appointment needed at 8:30am this morning and the guys got me right in. They even helped me with my front headlight (which wasn't working) and they got it working again. All of them were super helpful, and very nice. Plus, with the coupon it was a really great value. Like half the price of the shops I used to go to, plus I was done in 15 minutes. Very very disappointed in this place. They advertise that they do NYS inspections so I show up early at 8am when they open to get it done. Treated by s nice gentleman who proceeds to tell me that they don't do inspections on weekends. Now do they advertise this on their website or at the store? NO! So thanks a lot for wasting my valuable time, I recommend you stay away from here. Oh and when I did have oil changed here in the past I have to say they were average, didn't reinstall the drain plug carefully so I had an oil leak in the driveway read more

A technician convinced me I needed a break flush but they left the bleeder valve open causing the brakes. Of course I didn't find out until I was on the highway and the fluid leaked out until my brakes completely failed. I usually take southern state home but that day I decided to take the much less crowded ocean parkway. If I had stayed on my original route I might not be here to type this. Their mistake could have easily killed me or someone else. I would never use anything from that company again. read more

Took it to be inspected and the car failed. Ok fine but don't make wait forever to tell me this. Missed my opportunity to get my car in elsewhere to fix the issue as you guys couldn't seem to find the codes to put down on the paperwork. Then the auto place to do the needed repair informs me that jiffy lube should have given me a 10 day temp sticker to avoid a ticket... so I call and am told just use the paperwork. I'm like - so place it in the dash? The guy says umm yea. You truly did not come across as confident and as a result I'm not. I will never visit this shop again - very frustrated. There used to be an excellent service employee in past and I never had issues. Would you believe - I finally get the car reinspected, it passes and the guy never punches a hole in the inspection sticker! These guys are not very smart. read more

Oil change place. Jiffy Lube has been around for a while now and if you own a car, more than likely you have been to one or at least know what they are about. This place does a good job- they tried a half-hearted up-sell on some services beyond an oil change but I think they were more concerned with going home - it was the end of the day. A little pricey without a $5 off coupon, but I needed the oil change ASAP and they had no wait. I'd use again. read more

While I was waiting the manager asked me about my windshield wipers, etc. I said the wipers were fine, and that I was mainly concerned about tire pressure. (Dashboard indicated low pressure) He said they check the pressure as a standard matter. I know that to be part of the standard service. Evidently they didn't even check the tire pressure. I drove back ten minutes later, since the dashboard message had not gone away. I watched one of the employees go around to each of my tires, filling them up. At least several of them were low. One of them was 5 ppsi lower than it was supposed to be. Before driving away the second time I explained to Chris, the manager, what had happened, and asked for a discount for the next visit, figuring he would give me a coupon or a store credit to take away. He said, "Ask for me next time you come and I'll take care of you." read more

Worst. Location. Ever. Showed up for an oil change and inspection. They told me three people were ahead of me. Almost 2 hours, and five cars, later my car still hadn't been taken. I was patient, I wasn't rude or unkind. At one point I asked how many people still ahead of me, they told me one, and that was fine. But then they took someone else. Finally I asked for my keys back and left. Employees felt the need to say some snarky comments as I i walked away but whatever. Do not go here. At no point were they honest with anyone about how long it would take. Many people came and left because of the wait. Phones rang and rang and no one seemed to care. read more

I found this place under local listings, saw a few good reviews and decided to give it a try. I called and found out no appointment needed. Drove up, and was greeted by Jasmine in a warm welcoming way, which is great especially on a cold rainy day. She led me and family into the warm waiting room. We were told quickly the options available for an oil change, details were explained, yes, we got the same upsale that we usually get at other places too but we were told it's not necessary so all in all the job was done quickly. Very pleased. Oh what a relief, got a promotional discount too! This is a gem of a local business. They were fast, friendly, and efficient. Really glad to get the job done here. I called up over the phone and that was the only positive experience but unfortunately it was all a scam. Once I got there, John didn't even greet me with a hello or anything and instead began with "I can tell you right now your oil change will be at least $100." I explained to him that my car doesn't require synthetic oil (some models do, mine does not). He responded with "I'm not putting regular oil in your car. Sorry man. " I went down then street to Express Lube and was treated like a human being. Got the oil change, fluids topped off, air in my tires, car vacuumed, and my freon refilled for less than what John at Jiffy wanted for just the oil change. Why get scammed when there are better options right around the corner? One star for the few moments they were nice over the phone. read more

Decided to visit this place for a quick oil change. Upon arrival I was greeted immediately and there was an open bay yet my car was left outside and I had to wait about 25 min. Not the end of the world. When they brought the car in of course they tried to get me for synthetic oil etc. no thanks but they are doing their job. I made a point to ask about my tire pressures since the light just went on due to the temperature dropping. They assured me they would add air. Upon leaving the light was still on and they said the sensors need to reset while driving. While this is common I knew my Jeep Grand Cherokee does not have to be reset as such. Later on I wound up having to do it myself. Wish they were a bit more enthusiastic and not so quick to dismiss me when I asked about the tire pressure. Overall not too terrible. read more

Well, as a customer I always appreciate the service provided. Not cheap but fair. I used to have my car vacuum cleaned and wind shield clean. Not anymore.,. But this is not about that I'm writing the review. This is the end of November just noticed the inspection is due by the end of the month or in two days. Stopped by at Jeff Lube because there was nobody there, forgetting a comment by a friend that they always find something in order to make extra besides the emissions inspection. Surely it came true. Jiffy lube failed my 2013 Hyundai Hybrid because I refused to accept that the windshield blades were worn. Immediately the advise from third party came to my mind. The wind shield blades are cleaning perfectly and everything else are ok. Went to another shop and passed. So, not recommended for State Inspections. Everything else seems ok according to my experience but I will not come back for any service and will not give recommendation to anyone. read more

I use to get my 2 cars service and my state inspections when neeed.But will not get taken advantage,by the shop's dishonesty.The manager tried to push the high end oil change.I stated no thank you,he stated that will be bad if you don't stick to the same oil.The truck I have I go from high end oil to the standard oil.I only have 30,000 miles.So after back and fourth with the rude manager,I Said NO THANKS GIVE ME THE Standard OIL.After his oil pitch did not work then he stated I need new wiper blades,I said I just changed them 3 months ago.And we just had a week of rain.If you don't buy them you will fail the state inspection.DON'T GO TO THIS RIP OFF STORE!They will steel any way they CAN! This is the only place I go to for an oil change, and for good reason - they are honest and dependable and truly understand customer service. I had a recent oil change, and as always they say bring it in if any trouble between now and your next oil change. This morning, I had some oil on the driveway and did just that. It turned out to be a defective oil filter (that there is no way they could have foreseen). Within five minutes, fixed and out the door. No fuss, no muss, no charge. Chris and the crew are stellar. I came here because I didn't have time to go to my dealer. I have to say the staff was a big improvement from the last time I was here with my last car. I was greeted right away, the mechanic even opened my door for me. The manager on staff was super nice and walked me through everything. Yes he did try to up sell me on more services but over all he didn't try to force anything on me. They vacuumed my floors cleaned my windows and got me checked out right away. Except for the repeated attempts to try to sell you more than what you originally come in for I found that the shop in Mineola does a pretty good job. In fact, I was somewhat surprised that the manager was honest as he told me that I really did not need an oil change on my last trip to the shop. I lost the sticker that showed me when my next visit was due and also lost track of when my last change was. It turns out that I was still good for another 1000 miles so the manager gave me the choice of changing the oil or waiting until my car was actually due. read more
