Yea so convenience isn't always a good thing. Because you end up with sketchy things happening. Went to get an emissions test and was failed because "the rubber thing on the gas cap, I can't get it to unfold, it's weird". Told me to get a new one and come back to have it tested again to pass. As soon as I heard it I was over it and tried to maintain my composure just to get out of there. Even the guy in there waiting for his car seemed confused. Not even a 2 year old car, no alerts or engine light ever on my dash or car app, cap properly clicks, no leaks reported, no odor, no visible damage and looks new...and I know what tf a gas cap is supposed to look like. To give the benefit of the doubt I consulted several sources. When I parked near another auto place just to FaceTime my husband and show him, a guy looked at it and said that's bs. Took it to AutoZone and they laughed, came out to look at it and even show me a BRAND NEW OEM one and told me it was perfectly fine. Took it to a place I trust and they were just as confused. Inspection passed. Not worth the convenience of a quick check if you have to deal with bs. Either they thought I was dumb enough to pay for another inspection through them or, you have really inexperienced people working for you. Either way, I'd highly suggest avoiding Jiffy Lube and I will be taking action. Definitely not about the $18 but wasting my time with a perfectly fine gas cap for what?! ...has pissed me off. read more

I came recently for a state inspection. Ernesto was able to help me out quickly. There was one other customer ahead of me and I was in and out in about 30 minutes! The staff here is very professional. They have coupons if you sign up for their emails which makes the pricing pretty competitive. They are well staffed so it cuts into the wait times a lot. There is also a small waiting area with complimentary water. I'll be back to inspect my other vehicle soon as both expire in December. read more

Googled for closest place to me that does state inspection. This came up first. I arrived at 7:45, expecting them to open at 8:00 am as the sign on the door stated. I saw an employee go in at 7:50 am, who told me that I will be first but after waiting until 8:10 a.m. with the door still locked, I noticed an AutoCheck location behind their building that had already opened at 7:00 a.m. I wouldn't want to loose business like that if I was the owner. read more

I came to Jiffy Lube to get my state inspection done, and never thought something so simple could be turned into rocket science. When I arrived I noticed there was a few cars in-front of me so I asked one of the employees how long the wait would be and she said 30 minutes. As I am writing this review, I am still waiting and it has been well over 30 minutes. The employee started the process, then proceeded to walk off and help another customer. I have always had my vehicles serviced at Jiffy Lube in North Texas where they took care of me for years. I recently moved to Sugar Land, Texas and knew I was going to go through a lot of trial and error trying to find another shop that was as good as the Jiffy Lube shop I left. Imagine my shock and surprise when I drove in this morning and was greeted professionally and friendly, as if they were actually expecting to see me. They took care of me, asked if I was a veteran, applied a veterans discount and entered me in their system so it would be automatically applied next time I came in. They even offered a coupon that I wasn't aware they had! Now here's the kicker: I paid $89. THEY GAVE ME 100 TRAVEL REWARD CREDIT TO BE APPLIED ON ANYTHING THE NEXT TIME I COME IN! I ACTUALLY MADE MONEY BY HAVING THEM DO MY OIL CHANGE! These guys ROCK! Derrick Lemons is the BOMB! If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. The entire time I was there was a complete nightmare. I was getting harassed by one of the workers in front of my girlfriend and they continued to be disrespectful. I just don't understand why you would continue to talk to me, knowing I am in the presence of another person and you clearly see we are together. The one worker who was a complete bigot kept on telling me he was going to give me a discount ( something I did not ask for, want or need ). The harassment was so bad I told my girlfriend to just roll up the windows so he can stop talking to me. And why are you even talking to me without a mask on anyway????. Now this is not my first time getting an oil change and I know standard protocol. They usually clean your windows and vacuum the inside of your car as a common courtesy. Clearly, nothing courteous was about my visit. If you have to ask me if I want my windows cleaned while laughing and being unprofessional, when you know it is something you are suppose to do, then I don't want it. This is not even the icing on the cake. We both had to get out the car and wait inside the building while they finished whatever they were doing and goofing around, as soon as I stepped out I heard a "dannmnn" with a bunch of laughter followed through. Chile it took everything in me not to go off and collect my car then and there. Next here comes the dude who is continually harassing me to give me this discount. This is going to sound really weird, but this was the best oil change experience I've ever had...ever. I've done my own oil changes for decades, but now that I've gotten too uppity to do them consistently, I often find myself at the mercy of the quick oil change places. I refuse to sit for 45-60 minutes while a regular shop works me in around more involved procedures, so yea, I stick with the quick joints. All the 10-Minute Oil Change shops in this area leave much to be desired in the way of customer service and professionalism. I usually don't care about that, because after all I'm not usually looking for an "experience." I can handle all the attitude the "fresh-out" guys can dish. Just change my oil and I'll be on my way. But this day, I wanted a different experience. I figured...my vehicle is at the full synthetic age. I shouldn't have to put up with the attitude. Well Jiffy Lube was professional from the moment I drove up to the moment I left. I was in and out within about 20 minutes, and the dude at the desk went over "recommended services" with a matter-of-fact attitude. I could take or leave it. He was pushing the up-sell. I have the 2 stars to the guy I was dealing with. The loss of 3 stars is due to up keep of the establishment. I don't mean to be rude but the guy that was helping me was a big guy but was very cool and only hope he can get the upper management to fix all the issues wrong with this place. They had a lot of issues with the computer and payment methods at this place. Couldn't get a receipt, Couldn't get a proper sticker printed for mileage when oil change needed, I went for an oil change and literally all I got was an oil change. Not once did they check air filters, (engine or cabin) Wanted wiper blades changed but never asked, Tires were not check nor asked if I wanted them rotated, NONE of my fluids were filled or checked.... I was highly upset. Paid over $100 for just an oil change. I only hope the guy that works there finds a better place to work. He is a good guy but this place makes all of their employee look bad when I'm sure they are not. I will drive an extra 20 mins to another one next time read more

Never Again! I stopped by for an oil change and tire rotation. This Jiffy Lube was not busy at all. I noticed several other oil change places near by that were obviously busy, I should've take that as a sign... but off I went into Jiffy Lube. When checking out, I was presented with a lug nut and I was told it was stripped and " it came in like that ". I asked if Jiffy Lube was going to repair it and I was told " NO ". So I leave with only 4 lug nuts on one of my tires. I immediately call around to get it fixed ( it was my day off so I had time). I also called Jiffy Lube customer service to file a complaint. Customer service called me back (they noticed I always go to Jiffy Lube so it had to be broken by them). They instructed me to call Jiffy Lube, schedule a time to talk a manager, and at that time we'd discuss how they were going to fix my car. I let this guy know I was on my way to get my wheel fixed and that I didn't want to drive around for days in an unsafe vehicle. I sent Jiffy Lube the invoice. Waiting for an outcome... I doubt they will reimburse me. Either way...I will NOT go back Jiffy Lube... poor quality and poor customer service... taking my $ elsewhere. read more

If I could give this place a negative score, I would. I walked in this morning to get my car inspected as I have for the past few years and was told that my car failed the inspection. When I explained to the guy that for the past two times that I have been there, my window tints have passed, he chuckles, shrugs and tells me that it's Texas law and they didn't do their job. I've worked in law enforcement and i know the law. My tints are not dark. This has been the only place that I have come to regarding my inspection and because they claim their coworkers haven't done their job, they failed my tints. I've checked with local law enforcement and was told that my tints are not that dark yet this place failed me. They also told me that my gas cap needed to be changed but I don't believe that either as my car was recently serviced elsewhere and my gas caps were fine. However, I did notice one guy circling the garage with his hands clasped, trying to find something wrong but couldn't. Jiffy Lube can have the rest of their customers but this place needs new management. Last note, the tints are the first thing that you see on a car. If they knew that they were going to fail me based on my tints, they should've said something before doing the rest of the damn inspection and charging me. They don't have to worry about me coming back. read more

Took my car in for an inspection and oil change (technicians wearing either no mask or masks under their noses) and left with a shredded skid plate after an employee pulled my car into the stall quite aggressively. Took it back in hoping they'd fix the situation, and they tied up the broken plate with zip ties. That was fine until a couple months later when the zip ties came off. I purchased a Groupon for an oil change and ended up paying an additional $50 just for the oil change and tire rotation. When I looked at my Groupon, it was not scanned and used. The guy just pretended to scan it and charged me full price. He mislead me into thinking that the oil my car needed was more expensive than the one covered in the Groupon. During an oil change, one the employees at this location broke my car's cooling system hose before a road trip, lied about it, and taped it together with electrical tape. My car began overheating on a dangerous highway entrance ramp within 10 minutes. My trip was ruined. I was unable to go to work (as a nurse during a pandemic) for two days. Now, I constantly worry that my very new car has additional damage not yet apparent to me because of my distrust of automotive workers. According to the manager, this employee was fired, yet someone with the same name answered the phone a week later. I do appreciate the fact that the manager was honest but there was clear disregard for my situation. The store did not seem to care what happened to me because it was Saturday after 4pm and never followed up. After incessant badgering on my part, I finally received some money for the damage but not for the tow truck, or the time I missed at work because of this. Furthermore, I believe at the very least, the business should have returned the money for my original, very expensive oil change. I won't be returning and I hope no one else does either. read more

I went to the Kroger across the street to pass the time and came back right before 9 along with three employees who parked in the back. By 9:20, the location was still closed, so I drove to the back to ask the employees what the delay was. My ABS sensor came on, so I came here to replace my front brake pads. They Told me it would be 90 dollars an hour which i thought was a lot. The Mechanic Rob then came out and told me that the issue wasn't my brake pads but the sensor in my brakes. My brake pads were actually brand new, turns out he just reconnected the sensor, did a visual inspection fixed some other things. Walked in and out under 30 minutes and more than half off the price I expected to pay. Very upfront and honest and respectable Shop. Will come back for sure! read more

My car only hold 4 quarts and the manager tried to charge me $81.98 just because I'm a woman because the only service i received was an oil change! About 3 months ago I went for my routine oil change and was let known that I also needed my cabin filter changed but decided to wait due to not enough funds. So today 6/4/21 I went for another oil change at the same location that was due. Mind you as soon as i pulled up it Reaked of marijuana and the man i believe was the supervisor even apologized to me for the smell and appeared to be high. knowing I still needed the cabin filter changed they said all my filters were in good condition and did not need any changing at the moment. Mind you I still have yet to replace them from 3 months prior. So back then they said they were filthy dirty but now 3 months later they are good? Ok that's LIE #1. Secondly they said I needed my brakes flushed because it was dirty and needed to be flushed. That's funny because just last month I had a friend of mine replace my brakes and also flushed them.. I was there when he did it all. They always try to scam me just because I'm a female and think i don't know what needs to be done. I will not be going back and will now be finding a family owned business because these bigger type of business just try to run you for your money.
