I drive around 850 miles to and from school each semester, so it is imperative that I get my oil changed often on my vehicle (2007 Kia Sorento), especially since I drive a high mileage vehicle (199k miles). Today, I went to the Johnnie Dodd's location and waited in line for about 10 minutes only for them to tell me that they had just used their last oil filter for Kia vehicles. They suggested I try the Coleman location. I had all day free to run errands, so this was not an issue at all and the Coleman location was only 10 minutes down the road. I drove to the Coleman location and once I got there, there were only two vehicles being serviced (one in each bay). I waited patiently for my turn for about 30-45 min. Again, I had all day so this really was no issue. Once it's my turn, the man working motions for me to pull into the second bay and begins to help me out. After reading all the reviews on here about this location while I waited for 30-45 minutes, I'll admit I was a little nervous about what my interaction was going to be like with with the staff here. The man who helped me was Fred S. . Fred, to the say the least, was amazing. Melissa B. also helped me out. Sometime during the process, she walked over to the gas station next door and got her and Fred waters since it was scorchingly hot outside. Very nice of her. Fred changed my oil to my preference (high mileage, my usual) and topped off all of my fluids. Melissa checked all of my external lights to make sure they were all working. Fred even topped off my transmission fluid when he noticed it was low after I turned my ignition on. When it was all said and done, my total was 74.33. Fred asked me if I had any coupons, I told him I found one online for $15 and he applied it. 74.33 is a little steep for me on an oil change, but considering all the checks, fluid top offs, and excellent customer service Fred gave to me, I did not mind at all. I absolutely would come back here again to get my oil changed. Fred is a fantastic employee and he even apologized at the end of the process saying they were short staffed due to COVID. I told him my place of work is currently going through similar struggles. I had a great experience today and I appreciate Fred's politeness through the heat and the short staffing he dealt with. read more

The service was quick, which I appreciate, but that's probably because they did not actually complete most of the items on the service checklist. Receipt says floors were vacuumed (they were not), windows were washed (they were not), and air was put in tires (not even close - and my tire light is still on). Not sure why they would clearly misrepresent what services they provided me. If I can see these items were not accomplished when the receipt clearly indicates they were, how do I know other services were actually completed? read more

I had an awesome experience at this Jiffy Lube I went there late on Friday and two men were there that were friendly and helpful, both had a great attitude. After going to this location several times and experiencing terrible costumer service I started going to a different jiffy lube. Recently my boyfriend went back to this one and discovered the change in the staff. So I went back and was pleasantly surprised. The new GM was very nice and she was super informative. The lobby was clean and the service was quick. So glad that they have made changes to better this location considering it is the most convenient for me. read more

The guy gave me sooo much sass for coming in the wrong driveway (which none of them were labeled so!) and then continued sassing me for being over due on my oil change. Of course they said there was a 45 min wait which turned into well over an hour. Luckily there's a GREAT pizza place next door where I waited to avoid their awful customer service. However when I was waiting in the jiffy lube waiting area all you could hear was the employees complaining about how many customers there were and how hungry they were for a lunch break. As soon as I pulled up. There was one truck ahead of me. The gentleman checking me in came up and just looked at his clipboard and said, "name and mileage". Told him. Then he said, "wait in the lobby and we will get to you after this gentleman". I gave the cashier my info and he comes in upset with her for taking my info before the other gentleman even he came in five minutes after me. Instead of sitting in the lobby I gave my number so I could walk next door. I kept looking back and every time the car was still in the bay. And I hadn't received a call. Finally at 7:05. Five minutes after close. I decided to just walk back over. The same gentle was on the phone. Makes a passive aggressive comment to the person he was on the phone with saying he would have been closed but a customer just left their car and just walked back in. Then told me the next time I did that I would just have to leave my car over night. 45 min of waiting. No call. Walked back and he made these comments. The cashier as I went to walk out said sorry about him. "That's how he gets. We will see you next time, if there is a next time". Such terrible customer service. Two stars just bc the cashier was so pleasant and understood how much of an inconsiderate jerk that guy was. read more

If I could give less that 0 stars, I would. They charge you more for poor service & shotty work. Technician asked me for a lighter twice while serving my car. Smoked cigarettes while changing multiple cars' oils. Signature Oil change invoice had actual 30% completed, noted on invoice that I declined certain thing I was never asked. But items listed as "ok" never checked. Over inflated rear tires from 42psi to 46psi. Vacuum? More like add dirt and grease to interior. $60 after coupon. Never again. Buyer beware!!!!! - NEGATIVE 5 STARS - The "Manager" Darrell is rude and doesn't know how to talk to customers. Went in for a simple rideshare inspection. He informed me in a side ways manner that he would do the inspection but he would have to fail me cause my fog light which is not a light that even has to be used needed to be replaced. He than said he would give me a FREE Rideshare inspection once it was fixed. After a drawn out discussion how he wouldn't do the inspection I asked for corporates phone number, at this point after asking for Corp. # he said he would do the inspection, I said no just give me the number he REFUSED TO GIVE TO ME. Explained corporates number is on the back of a receipt which I could only have if I paid for a service, which he was refusing to do. He than told me to go to the Johnnie Dodds location and ask for the manager there which he lead me to believe managed both locations. Now I see why the Coleman Blvd location never has cars waiting and the Johnnie Dodds does. Customer service is everything. read more

Very friendly, very knowledgable staff. The service manager, Patrick, is a very relaxed and informative professional. I didn't feel at all pressured or coerced into buying anything. I will admit I know nothing about my car, or any car, but when I left I felt much more confident about my car than I did when I arrived. Patrick was exceptionally patient and explained all of his recommendations to me in terms I could actually understand, instead of just throwing a bunch of technical jargon at me to confuse me. I will definitely return to Jiffy Lube for service in the future, and I will recommend that others do so as well. read more

I gave this location 3 stars because the staff were very friendly, very engaging and because the TV in the waiting area was playing the Batman movie with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson! However I'm afraid I could not give higher than that because they actually did a very poor job with the servicing of my vehicle. I'm not sure if this is a practice that only individual locations do but I was under the impression it was a service provided by all Jiffy Lubes. The oil change was done very fast, however the car was not vacuumed, the windows were not washed, I can't be sure that the fluids were topped off because they never said to me that they did it. They did not check the tire pressure and add air for the tires that required it, and I never had a discussion with them of what the vehicle manufacturer requirements were so I don't know if I had hit the mileage point where I'm supposed to have other services done. For an oil change service that costs upwards of a $100, I felt I should have received the services I have come to expect from Jiffy Lube. Really nice people but sorely lacking on providing expected services. read more

DISREGARD ALL REVIEWS PRIOR TO 2017 THAT HAVE ANYTHING LESS THAN 5 STARS... As a former technician it's very rare for me to take my vehicle to a service center for various reasons (bad customer service, trying to sell unnecessary services etc.) Given the fact that I'm out of town all week and don't have the available time to service my own vehicle I decided to go to the closest maintenance center to me. I can say that I walked out of there more than satisfied and happier than when I walked in. I was welcomed by a gentleman, named Nick, that showed me to the waiting room and where the complimentary drinks we. While I was waiting I heard constant communication between the technicians about the status of anything that could need servicing. The wait was not long at all... as a matter of fact I think I spent more time visiting with Mrs. Jacy than I did waiting. (Keep in mind that I have never met her nor anyone associated with their business) the staff noticed that I was studying for a firefighter certification while I was waiting and gave me a discount for being a public servant. They also informed me that nothing other than my regular oil change would need to be done for a while and everything looked perfect. Which was reassuring that they weren't lazy in inspecting my vehicle nor did they try selling me unnecessary services. I know for a fact that they properly inspected because I had the entire vehicle checked and repaired by someone else back in October. One other detail I noticed was that neither of the two gentlemen, Brett and Nick, ever stopped to look at their phone or sit down looking bored. They were keeping themselves busy by sweeping when there weren't anymore customers that needed service. I never heard Mrs. Jacy have to get on them about finding something to do and they both had great attitudes with a strong work ethic. I was treated like family by complete strangers and, without a doubt, received the best customer service I've ever had. I live an hour away and I more than likely will continue to bring my vehicle back for maintenance as long as Mrs. Jacy is overseeing the business. You will not find better customer service than Jiffy Lube at 404 W. Coleman Blvd. Thank you again for the outstanding service provided. I will see you again in 7k miles or sooner. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I wish I could give negative stars. I was stuck there for an hour and a half, while the desk clerk just kept giving me excuses. I'm not sure whether I got the new full synthetic oil I paid for -- they poured the oil in my car from a giant open tub, not from new bottles of oil. The desk clerk told me that that was usual -- but every other time I've gone to Jiffy Lube (in other places) I saw the six unopened bottles of oil, so that I could see exactly what I was getting when they opened the bottles and poured them in. Also, the Jiffy Lube in Mt. Pleasant did not check my tires because their compressor was down, and did not vacuum my car floor -- even though my receipt said that both had been done. But worst of all, the mechanics took off the splash shield under my car so they could change the oil (Hyundai dealer later confirmed that they didn't have to do that), and then they couldn't put it back on. Finally they told me everything was good to go, but 50 miles later the splash shield came off and was dragging on the road. I was in Myrtle Beach when this happened (I was traveling on vacation) so I called the Jiffy Lube to ask what I could do, and the response I got was that it was a warranty issue and I would have to drive the car back to Mt. Pleasant. When I told him I couldn't drive all the way back to Mt. Pleasant with my splash shield dragging on the road, he told me that Jiffy Lube was not responsible. I had to take my car (Hyundai Sonata) to a Hyundai dealer to get it repaired. Seriously, the Jiffy Lube didn't know how to change the oil in a Hyundai Sonata? Do those people get any training at all? The experience was so bad I'm seriously thinking about suing. Also, a woman who was having her car serviced at the same time my car was being serviced, told me she had been there for two hours. The Jiffy Lube people told her that they weren't able to get her oil filter out of the car to change it. Couldn't get the oil filter out?? That's their job! That's what they are supposed to do. A Jiffy Lube where the mechanics don't know how to change an oil filter? This is the worst experience I've ever had. I will never go to Jiffy Lube again, ever, anywhere, because of the horrible, horrible experience at this one. read more

Very poor management but tech's were great. I went in today for a standard oil change and was told that my car needed synthetic oil, I was never given an option for anything different. I started questioning it when I noticed I was charged over $100 for an oil change. When I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk she said that is what my car had to have. I decided to contact my husband and he said that my car does not need synthetic and that they were trying to over charge me. I then told her that I didn't want synthetic. She walked outside and told the tech that I didn't want synthetic and to use conventional but he already was pouring synthetic in my car. He said it was fine to just give it to me. The lady then called the manager to come issue me a partial refund since I did not need synthetic like I was told I did, and he refused since it was already in my car. He never even came out to talk to me which was rude in itself. I was paying ahead because my plan was to leave my car there and my husband was going to pick it up later and I just wanted everything to be done when he got there. After the whole fiasco and dealing with the manager, my car was done and ready for me to take with me (well besides that they forgot to clean my battery terminals which I paid extra for so I waited a minute on that). My husband tried calling and reasoning with the manager but he was rude and acted like he didn't care. The tech was wonderful and very efficient but, needless to say, we will not do anymore business with this place, I was definitely taken advantage of and treated horribly by the manager! read more

There have been two times in the past that my tire pressure alert came on prior to a long road trip that I took my car to jiffy lube to have them check my tires and make sure everything was safe for a road trip. Both times they filled my tires up and told me that everything looked fine. Both times I had a tire that had damage to it and was about to pop, or run out of air. Don't trust them to check your tires for a road trip. read more

Terrible customer service skills. I have been a customer at this location for over 2 years. Worst crew they have ever had. I will never again go back to this jiffy lube. I will not go back to this jiffy lube. Bobby was very rude and dishonest. Asked me if I wanted a different oil change because my car has 86,000 miles to which I replied no. At the end they tried to charge me $47 for an oil change and I asked why and he said I got some special kind. I kept prodding and it was reduced to $37, then $34 and finally the advertised price of $24.99. Bobby told me very rudely that I should have made them aware of the oil change I wanted??? read more

Worst experience of my life. The people there want to sell you things that your car does not need. Also, I went there for an oil change that included vacuuming my carpet, washing my windows, and checking my tire pressure, yet they did none of those things. I guess I am naive in thinking that I would be getting what I had paid for. If you want an honest job, I would highly recommend going elsewhere and would hate for anyone to experience what I just experienced especially because it is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED! read more

*I would be more than happy to take down my post if I hear back from the Jiffy Lube Costumer Service Center and resolve my problem. Until then, beware this Jiffy Lube I went to Jiffy Lube in Charleston last month and experienced the worst service ever. The kid who was the apparent manager told me my car can only take a special oil because it was a Ford and that it would be over $50. I said I did not want that because I have never paid more than $30 for oil in 7 years and my car runs great. He told me he would not put the standard oil in my car. I told him then I would take it elsewhere. He quickly caught an attitude and told me he already drained my oil and that I couldn't. I never agreed to them draining my oil and he refused to put the standard oil in my car. He was so rude and argued relentlessly with me. I was so fed up I told him to put the oil in since I clearly had no other options. He did and when I left he told me he vacuumed the floors and cleaned the windows to make up for some of it. He clearly did not! I was mad that he would even lie about that. I watched and didn't even see him bring out a vacuum! That was the rudest service I have ever encountered. I am clearly not satisfied. I hope he is reprimanded for his rude behavior. He needs to grow up before he can become the manager of a branch. read more
