I genuinely hate this place. I came here to get my oil changed and had to sit there for well over an hour to even get started on my car. Meanwhile there were only 3 people in front of me. I own an Acura truck when it was time to change my oil Technicians kept calling each other over to my truck. It started with one by the time they got to work there were 3 techs a huddled around my car. You would have thought I was driving an UFO. When I left I didn't have a oil light on. But a week later my oil light would come on. I just took it to Midas and never had that problem since. They cost about the same amount as Midas so I might as well have just went to them the first time. read more

They didn't use enough oil, there was nothing replaced and I've had a oil leak since the plugs were not inserted correctly. Honesty today must have been forgotten. I called ahead prior to showing up here to inquire about a basic oil change. On the phone I relayed my car model and type and was quoted at $43. A bit steep for an oil change, but for a place that is suppose to be able to get you in and out in a very short amount of time, I could see the charge. When I arrived, I pulled up, said what I needed, got out of my car, handed over my keys and then went in to sit down and wait. After only about three minutes a technician came in and told me a nice little story about how my car needed synthetic oil. And that they were going to charge me $70 for it. Funny thing was that I had my oil changed before and no one ever told me it NEEDED synthetic oil. Lies. When I refused to pay that amount they promptly said that they could knock off $15. I'm sorry, but $55 is still more than what was quoted to me on the phone. They then wanted me to sign a waiver to put in regular oil. I just had to look at them and ask if they heard me. I again refused, went to work, and found a more reliable place with a better price. read more

Then, after another car was waiting behind me, they began to work on them together, prioritizing hers. How was hers finished before mine? I wasted an hour this morning. An absolutely abysmal experience. Went in a Wednesday and waited in line 40 mins to be told I couldn't get an oil change bc they were closing. It gets worse. I returned the next day at 11am and was seen after 15 minutes. When I got my car back the engineer had gotten GREASE ALL OVER THE INSIDE OF MY CAR. The steering wheel, the door handle, the divider. It was like giving a child your cell phone to play with, only 100x worse. I cannot tell you to avoid this location enough. I made the terrible mistake of taking my 2014 Audi S5 convertible to Jiffy lube on Baum Blvd Pittsburgh Pa. When I originally went they had me comeback three days in a row because they didn't have the proper tool. In hindsight I see that was not good, at all!!! When I finally went and got my oil changed , for free, when I left I went to a cousin's house in Homewood which is literally 3.9 miles. He notice I was leaking oil. I immediately went to my house to pick up my wife and she noticed the leaking so we headed directly back to Jiffy Lube. Once we got there I reported the leak. Management told me it must have occurred when I had my car serviced at Audi on Liberty Ave which was two months prior. They took my car refilled the oil and claimed there was no oil leak. As their worker was cleaning up an abundance of oil off of my skid plate I said there's the evidence of the leak right there. They took me down under the car and showed me a clean area under my car. I told them as long as I had been waiting they had plenty of time to clean it. My wife and I headed back to our home and it was still leaking. As we were on our way to take it back the car began to shake violently. I called AAA had my car taken to Audi on Liberty Ave. I called 422 Auto Mall where I purchased the car. hey informed me that I had to have it serviced it there. I had the car towed there. They found that the oil housing filter was broken. This lead to my car being sent to Sewickley Audi. This caused problem with my Cam sensors and totaled over $4500 not covered by my Warranty. India immediately tells me my front tires are bald and rotating them would be bad for me. she looked at my leaking tire and told me she doesn't see a hole so there's nothing they can do. the service is also supposed to include vaccuming floors which I was never asked about but my receipt says I declined it. it just seemed like she was trying to rush through the service. would not reccomend this location. read more

So I never leave reviews on anything but I felt like I had to. I was nervous coming to this jiffy lube due to the bad reviews and on top of that I'm a woman who looks very young and it's known a lot of car places whether it's repairs or dealerships try and take advantage of that. That being said, I had a good experience here. They were friendly, quick, and if you're direct and confident, they were honest and helped me. I will be going back to this location. Purchased a Groupon which specified synthetic oil, filter, exterior window cleaning and floor vacuum. Staff didn't want to hear of the specifics of my Groupon. Brought car in right away. Wasted time digging out the cabin and engine air filters, trying to sell me new ones though that check not part of service described and paid for. About 45 minutes after car brought in, tech started to input services and charges. Screen populated with additional charges for tire rotation and windshield cleaning. He insisted I listen to what he was saying and the only Groupon they've redeemed in the past are for those additional services and he couldn't remove them from the pre-populated screen. I pointed out the services covered with my Groupon but he pretty much said was MY problem that he couldn't retrieve the correct package of services in their computer. Manager finally came over and said he wasn't aware of my Groupon offer either, and just let me go. One hour after my car was pulled in, I was gone. Called a regional manager after leaving and he indicated staff didn't read their emails about the latest Groupon offer and how to accept them and he'd have to make his way to that Baum Blvd location. TL;DR? Don't trust these people with your car, they don't even understand anything about them besides "dump oil here". When getting my oil changed (the most expensive kind mind you) an employee broke my radiator inlet hose. I took it back to them to figure out what was wrong and got no assistance except to learn that the individual providing my oil change was in fact fired for incompetence. I figured it out and repaired it myself, then demanded compensation. The manager said he would "give my number to the owner" and that "the process takes time". One month later I have received no contact. Might need to make a trip to small claims court, idk. read more

I'm a dude that drives a truck. I usually change my own oil cause that's what dudes who drive trucks do. But this summer has been crazy busy and I got tired of looking at that red "change oil" light on my dash so I stopped into Jiffy Lube to get a quick oil change... its simple to do, how much could they charge? Well I almost found my own time to change the oil after noticing the price on the wall. But since I was already there and my weekend plans are packed I reasoned that the $45.95 posted was a small enough fee for the convenience. The gentleman told me it would be about 45 minutes. I found a local bar, nursed a beer and fiddled with my phone to pass the time. An hour later I went back to the Jiffy and was taken a little back when they charged me $59. I asked why the extra cost and they said that my truck takes 7 quarts of oil. The manual clearly reads that it takes 5 quarts and my truck has always run fine on the 5 quarts that I pour into it. But what could I do, tell them to drain two quarts? I paid. If you're the type that frequents these kind of places (I know not everyone has a vehicle that's easy to get under), I'd advise for you to read your owners manual, know how much oil goes into your engine and let them know up front how much oil you are willing pay for before they touch your engine. read more

I got their coupon from groupon and took my car there for an oil change and tire rotation. when the work is done a clerk come out and while doing the check out he casually brings up that one of my stunt on the wheel is broken. he then continues blame the ones who put the stunt there before was putting it to tight or whatever. I'm a female and don't know much about cars. I take what he says and then ask if he is gonna fix that for me because besides everything he did break it while he was doing the tire rotation. he refuses and told me that it is only gonna cost 2 bucks to fix that and I can still drive around without any problems. I was not happy but I accept and then went to the pep boys which was next door to get the small part that he said is gonna cost 2 bucks and expect to fix the stunt by myself. The people at pep boys, while not only them but also all the ones that I have ever asked from body shops, told me that there is no reason of the clerk from jiffy lube to blame on the former pressure of the stunt, HE BREAK IT. and it is not easy to fix the stunt, they have to take out the tires and go all the way back to put in the new part, It end up cost me around $70. for the lousy job at jiffylube, for a simple oil change and tire rotation. the worst part is that when I was trying to go back and argue for them to pay for my cost, I found that clerk sneakly put in a note saying "driver side stunt broke prior." That is BULLSHIT. My car was perfectly nice when I bring it in. and HE BREAK IT. Now I see why they were on group on trying to get more people to come in. This is a bad shop with even worse attitude. Worst. Jiffy Lube. Ever. You would think that I would have learned from my first two or three terrible experiences here, but apparently I'm a glutton for punishment. I was in at the end of May for fleet service and an inspection. Apparently, they never did the inspection, but never told me that they didn't (I guess the guy wasn't there that day--- I think they should have told me but I guess it's partially my fault for not noticing sooner). So- I call, find out when the guy will be in and go at said time. After telling them what happened, I was assured it would be taken care of. What a lie. I go... I'm told it won't be done until at least 4/4:30... Well, that won't work bc it's 10:15am and I have work to do, and that was not what the guy told me the day prior when I called. Mr. Inspector man couldn't have been a bigger jerk. Unapologetic, rude, and nasty are words that come to mind when thinking about him and the situation. I will never go back here, and I urge others not to... That is, unless you enjoy terrible service, rude people, and not getting things done that you were supposed to. read more

Located on Baum blvd; Coming from Negley or Liberty ave it will be on your right hand side Across from UPMC cancer center and before Get Go. If comming from the opposite direction; be aware there's no stop light. Depending on the time of day making a left hand turn can be a challenging. For my car the average oil change runs about $40. On most visits it takes em about 20 minutes. It took a little longer because something with my oil pan plug thingy. Whatever the issue They came up to me , explained the issue and apologized for the inconvienance. You'll want be mindful of attempts at upselling though. I was ignored.The situation should have been handled differently. 1) Before attempting to "fix" my hood latch they should have called me out there and asked how would I go about closing my hood. 2) explained that my car hood did not close properly 3) they should have explained to me the potential dangers of my hood not closing properly. Great location, friendly service, and honest. I came here yesterday because my A/C wasn't working. Was told to get an A/C recharge. Unfortunately it didn't take because I have a leak - the manager didn't charge me a dime for the service. I feel most places would have charged me for the labor and told me I was out of luck. We went in for an oil change and the cap was left entirely unscrewed. There's oil spilled all over the underside of our car's hood. I don't know what else they did wrong, but going here ended up with our car having a horrible smell and who knows whatever other problems this is going to cause. The service was fast. The people were friendly but they were WAY over priced. I got a regular oil change they charged almost $60. They indicated on the receipt that I declined for them to check my tire pressure - they never asked me. All other places I have been to would at least vacuum out my vehicle as well..not here. I agree with others that at times this location can be slow. However I have been multiple times and got right in and right out. The one time I waited a long time I was given 15 dollars off my oil change because of the wait. I also came here for my state inspection this year and passed without any problems. I appreciate not being nickel and dimed on little things come inspection time. They also are very good with topping off fluids in between oil changes and have a decent waiting area. read more

I stopped by the Pittsburgh Jiffy Lube on Baum today to get an oil change and tire rotation. There really aren't a lot of choices to get an oil change on the weekend. Overall, I had a good experience. The service was quick, the staff was friendly and everything seems in order. They give out these massive coupon books with oil change/service discounts to get people to come back which I will likely get me to go back. Like most places like this, they offer to do extra services (air filter change for example) which you could probably do on your own without much hassle. read more

So, I called this property today and was told over the phone in their spiel that no appointment was necessary and that they pride themselves on such. I proceeded to ask if their inspection guy was there today and he explained that they did not have an opening until Saturday. Ok, but I thought they did not take appointments? Obviously, this is false advertising. Lets go through the next drill by number. 1) Called back for an appointment and was told by some uneducated person to hold on and the phone was laid down then hung up minutes later. 2) Had the wife call back and they said they were too busy to take the phone call and suggested to call back in 30 minutes. This location is close to my workplace and so I tend to go here even when I should know better. Back in 2015, I left my car with them for a few hours and when I got back, they had backed another car into it causing a big dent in the bumper. The guy was not even apologetic, just said the main office will take care of it. Anyways, I was just happy when the main office didn't create any issue and got the car fixed for me. I stopped going to this Jiffy Lube until today. when I went back after three years, hoping for a different experience. This time around, they gave me a receipt saying the floors were vaccumed, the windows were cleaned etc. Except they werent at all. When I pointed this out, they said they would take care ot it. Came with Groupon for oil change and tire rotation, took about an hour (came in a Wednesday 9:30am), no complaints as of the past few hours. Showed me a nice diagram of the manufacturer recommendations for repairs/replacements for my vehicle at various mileages and was nice enough to print them out for me. 3 stars because my cabin air filter was filthy and needed replacing, they showed me and tried to sell me one for $75. When I go into shops it's pretty obvious I'm not a car person, so I've been taken advantage of before, so I said no.
