If I could go somewhere else for maintenance, I would. Went in for my usual oil change said my tires leaking air, at least 10 psi a day. They rotated my tires never fixed the leak. Only put air in the tire, because it was 7 psi below the recommended amount by manufacturer. They won't call to let you know it's done. You gotta bother them and guess if you just drop it off for a few days. The time before that i mentioned about something serious about it, they didn't fix it. Also they Still didn't fix the leak in the tire (7500 miles ago.) And the time before that (15k miles ago) I got the truck in worse condition. After receiving it from just an oil change and tire rotation. I didn't want to take time off work to make an appointment. But I guess I'm gonna have to. In summary: I'd trust your local drug dealer to change your oil for a cheaper rate before heading here to "certified techs." read more

We have been going there for years, I never have to deal with them. My husband takes care of everything for me. This time I had a flat and had to have it repaired or replaced. Finding an appointment was very easy. Took me it right away and they said they could fix my tire. I asked if I go outside and take a walk if they would "me" the gentleman said ofcouse. So I gave them my number because the primary number is my husbands. Hours pass by and I hear nothing so walk back and see if my one tire is repaired. I get to the front desk and they said they already called my husband and he did not answer. I was very clear he was not going to answer and I needed that call. Next thing, per their policy they could not do anything for me because I do not have Firestone tires. Their policy is if they do replace a tire they need to be Firestone so they told me they could put 4 new tires. My kids are getting off school soon. Been wondering around outside burning time and went back home with a donut. Not because I would have not gotten tires from them because I clearly needed them!. Refuse to even acknowledge their offer for plain fact that they had me wait hours to find out that they disregarded my request to call me so I did not have to wait because I told the gentleman very clearly I needed that call so I can make arrangements incase I don't make it back to get my kids. Terrible Customer Service. I was referred by Alamo Rental cars to have a tire repair performed here. Alamo said they have a "contract" with them. When I arrived they were obviously annoyed that I was interrupting their conversation as all the employees were in the counter area, nobody was working on a car. They told me, "we don't have time to deal with you today", this was 3:30pm when they close at 5pm. My son in law drove to his shop (which was closed that day) and fixed it for me in 5 minutes. If you are too lazy to do your job at least be nice to the customers you aren't helping. This place is the worst. read more

only being generous enough to give them 1 star because they did work with me when I did not have any credit. after putting a chunk of change down... firstly let's say I had my vehicle since the end of February, they In formed me I had a 3 month warranty not even 1 week after leaving the lot my EPC LIGHT & engine light was on. took it to the service center I'm assuming they probably just wiped any bad codes off my vehicle because they called and told me to come grab it. a few months down the road I notice the EPC LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN... went away after I restarted my car and came back on 3 weeks later as I was driving down 28 my car STOPS suddenly and I was stuck sitting there for about an hour with my 4 year old daughter. They are now telling me I have to pay almost $200 to get it "looked at" weird enough got my codes tested from somebody else and everything was fine. i genuinely don't know how this place is still getting as much business as it does because boy oh boy is it a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At midnight, in the middle of an overnight drive home trying to beat T-day traffic, the dreaded TPS light came on. Sure enough, we had a slow leak due to a small screw someone coming out of our tire. Firestone was chosen because it was the only tire shop open on a Sunday morning who's yelp reviews didn't terrify me. So, in I went. The staff was friendly, gave me an accurate price quote and wait time (~30 bucks and 1.5 hours). I gave them my number and went to wander the nearby shopping plaza. And, what a plaza to be stuck in! I have an hour and a half to kill, so I'm super excited to see a guitar center... that's opening at 11am, and a game shop! ... open at 11am. And a mall... with nothing open... other than a movie theater! first show starts at 10am, so I'd miss most of it after previews... oh, it has an arcade... and I of course don't have cash on me... so I check google maps for a nearby ATM from my bank, nothing. Rats. I head into the mall, wander it with all the retired people getting their daily walk in, find a comfy couch and surf the web. Time to head back, so I walk the long way back.. right by a group of atms from my bank. Son of a ... So, at 1.25 hours in, I head back to the shop. I watch political news next to a women who clucks disapprovingly under her breath while listening to President Obama speak. At 1.5 I ask how the car is coming to find out, they just finished and its ready to go. Sort of sad to have wasted a rare 1.5 hours to myself that could have been spent gleefully in an arcade, but that's of no fault of Firestone - who were quick professional and got us back on the road... into T-Day traffic. read more

Used this place frequently for several years for inspections, brakes, general maintenance. They wanted to charge $300 for a headlight. When I asked why so much? They couldn't give me an explanation other than "It's only marked up 5-10% of retail" When I brought up the same headlight it was less than half the cost at a retail store (even cheaper online). This didn't even include instillation or taxes. I was willing to pay for the convenience, but not to this extent. When I told them to just give me my car back and I will go somewhere else they became rude and disgruntled. It took them almost 40 mins to return me my car and when they did they parked in the back ACROSS the parking lot behind a bunch of vehicles. There were plenty of spot in front under their canopy and parking spaces directly in front of the store. 1000% did this to be petty and I will not be returning here with any of my vehicles. read more

Firestone in the Monroeville Mall is very convenient and always accommodating regarding scheduling service. They are good communicators and never perform work without talking over the options and letting you know the full cost. No surprises is good when you're talking about auto repairs, which always pop up during routine maintenance! This is not our first choice, as we have a mechanic, but this is a great alternative when TODAY is the day you need help. read more

So I have been to a few of these Firestones and Jiffy Lube type places with my company car because of the fleet services preferred vendors. I have been to both this Firestone location now, as well as the one on William Penn Hwy just down the road a bit. These two locations are not created equal in my experience. If you want a good, trustworthy Firestone to go to, I say go here! I had just had my car into a Jiffy Lube for a check up exactly two weeks before I had to come in here... they said everything was fine, did what they had to (change oil and filter) and sent me on my way. I do not expect them to find every little thing but when they said they did what the Fleet company had asked, I assumed that they looked at some of the other basics. My check engine light came on Thursday (just 13 days after this) and I had to get it in somewhere. I remembered that the Mall had a location (at least I can go get lunch and walk around if it will take awhile, right?). The location on William Penn Hwy was fine but after I had my experience with this one, I will be loyal here... they were able to fix something that the Wm Penn Hwy location could not and was not willing to (a terrible sound of a loose heat shield). They got me in right away, kept me posted on where they were at with things, looked at the whole picture of things, dealt with my Fleet company, and fixed something that I was told could not be fixed. The few staff that I had interacted with were so helpful and nice too. This made what was an annoying experience and unforeseen problem/stressor better. I will definitely be taking all of my service here now as I cannot complain about anything. read more

I have what appears to be a slow leak in one of my tires. I called the day before and they told me I could drop off the car the following morning. I called the morning of as instructed and was told that I could drop it off and it would take a couple hours. When I said I would be there shortly he then pivoted and said oh we are too busy to do flats or anything that minor. Both times I called the gentlemen were short and rude and seemed bothered. We really like the Firestone near the Monroeville Mall. We have had some trouble at other big-name auto shops in the past and my husband was hesitant to have my car inspected at Firestone when we first moved to the area. Since he was out of town and we were brand new to the area, I went anyway and am thrilled that I made the decision to give them a try. We have been going for two years now every time we need anything taken care of. The shop manager is trust worthy and honest. He'll make a recommendation and thoroughly explain why he is recommending the change, but he does not push you to accept it. Because of the way he does business, I can trust that when he says "I highly suggest you get this done" it is important. The front desk service is fantastic as well. They are always friendly and polite and will do everything they can to accommodate you, even if you walk in or call with short notice. We always have a good experience with the front desk. There is some room for improvement when it comes to the waiting room. It could definitely be a little more comfortable as sometimes customers can spend hours waiting. Refreshments of some kind would be welcome and seating is limited-especially seating near outlets, so customers can work while they wait. I can't speak for all Firestones, but I highly recommend this one. read more

I can't even begin to describe the things this store has done to me. But an example would be telling me I needed a $500 "tune-up". When the vehicle ran exactly the same I was told it also needed a fuel filter, but the tune-up of course was "needed" first. Oh, did I mention the fuel line broke when they were trying to remove the filter (obviously my fault) so now I'm at $1,300 and an entire day wasted. When I mention well at least we got this fixed today so next month when I get it inspected it won't be so bad the Salesman literally laughed out loud in my face and informed me there is absolutely no way I'm passing inspection because there's rust holes in the frame and I should consider "junking" the vehicle. Another example would be the time I was told I "needed" exhaust manifold gaskets to pass emission inspection (would only be a mere $900). I decided against the repair, went to repair facility where they replaced an EGR tube for $75 and miraculously the exhaust manifold gaskets fixed themselves I guess. So unless you have $1,000 that you just want to spend on unneeded repairs, or enjoy being lied straight to your face please stay away from the Monroeville Mall Firestone. On a separate note, I've been visiting the Firestone on business 22 (less than a mile away from the mall) and have had nothing but good experiences one after the other. read more

This was a complete waste of time. My wife made an online appointment for 6pm showed up at the time and the front desk person very rudely told her she didn't have an appointment. She showed him the email confirmation and he stated she should have called because "the computer doesn't talk to us". He told her she would need to wait for an hour and a half before they could see her car. After she waited 30 minutes he told her they couldn't take her car at all. Super unhelpful, super rude. I love firestone. I have had my cars serviced here since 2010 and every time I leave I feel satisfied with my services. They always let me know of any known issues however they do not try to force me to get it fixed there. I miss joe by the way but the people there now are still just as great. read more

(June 22, 2016) I needed a Headlight replaced and I prepaid to have Firestone order the part from Day Ford as I didn't trust Ford with this repair because of a very bad situation with them. I have been using Firestone for the past 3 years Specifically 500 Chauvet Drive Pgh, PA 15275. Firestone Monroeville Mall called me when the part came in and I stopped in after work to see when the light could be installed. Once I arrived another customer (Lady came in the same time as me so I allowed the lady to be seen first). While waiting for my turn to be waited on; another man [ who was white] (I am black) came in: the Service Mgr. stopped almost immediately and waited on him and left me standing there as if I wasn't even in the Services Center! After the While man left The Service Mgr. continued on with the lady that he was talking with. This situation made very upset because you'd think I'd be treated better than that. I have spend Thousands of dollars at Firestone during the past 3 years keeping my Ford Edge AWD Limited in great condition.... Keep in mind I worked a 12 hour shift and I was very tired that day, so I simply walked out and sent an online complaint to Firestone headquarters. I am still waiting for my headlight to be installed. I really like Firestone and hope that this was simply a misunderstanding and if so, I will come back and update this review... My husband always does the work on our vehicles, but we've been using Firestone since about 2014 for inspections and they are always very polite, accommodating with scheduling last minute, and get the job done quickly. They even filled my windshield washer fluid today when I got my car inspected and didn't charge me for it! I'm typically wary of service shops pushing to overcharge or find fault in your vehicle when there is none, but with 2 vehicles every year at Firestone for the past 5 years we're never had a problem. read more

Dropped my car off for inspection and told me I needed a muffler but they couldn't find one for my car. I get a call a little later and was told they found one for over 600.00 dollars! I told them to just give me my car back and took it someplace else and was told nothing was wrong with the muffler. Don't go there! read more

I was use to going to a neighbor or friend who did mechanic work. After we moved, I didn't know or trust anyone with my car; afraid someone would break something on purpose just so I'd keep coming back or take advantage because I'm a female who doesn't know much about cars. My boyfriend at the time always took his car to the Firestone {next to Monroeville Mall}. Although they were a bit pricey {compared to what I was use to paying}, you always got genuine service; even print outs of the diagnoses of your vehicle, the name of the mechanic that worked on your car, and a breakdown of the prices/labor and any recommended services they feel you need but you don't have to get {or rejected} at the time. The guys at FS were always friendly, greeted you with a smile, professional, knowledgeable and remembered you if you came back. They'd even take you to the back to show you just how BAD the part was they are fixing for you. Although there were FS' closer to where I lived, I kept going back to this one because I was comfortable with them and trusted that they will get the job done. I also love how they will talk with you first and tell you what's wrong to get your consent before proceeding on repairs. The mall is a two minute walk from them so I would go shop a little or catch a movie to keep me from dying of boredom while someone worked on my car. Depending on what I needed and if I scheduled an appointment or came in last minute {like I normally did}, I was always in and out of there from half hour to no more than 2 hours. I love that they are open on the weekend {including Sunday}. They are awesome! I never had any issues with them. I recommend them to anyone. read more
