I Tried to get an inspection for my car (safety only) and the manager lied about a safety inspection law about the tag lights. (I have my safety inspectors license, so I know what passes and what doesn't.) he said you need 2 tag lights to pass when the law specifically states: "One rear lamp or a separate lamp shall be so constructed and placed that the number plate carried on the rear of such vehicle shall under like conditions be illuminated by a white light as to be read from a distance of 50 feet to the rear of such vehicle." One of my tag lights are brand new and fully functional. These lube techs suck!! He passed me anyways, but be weary of uninformed lube techs trying to get you to buy more than needed. He also said he'd print out the "2 tag lights law" for me to read over ..? read more

Went to Jiffy Lube to get a state inspection in the middle of a Monday hoping it wouldn't be busy. I was right - there was one car in the bay and 6 or so employees. Walked into the office to find nobody there. I waited for fifteen minutes while not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE employees congregated in the bay hitting their vapes. There was only one car in the three bays and one man working on it. The rest socialized continuously for fifteen minutes while I waited. Eventually left and went to Precision Auto, where I was immediately greeted and seen. If a business is genuinely busy to the point that it takes a while to greet a customer, fine. If it's understaffed and employees are doing their best, fine. But to stand around, talk, and smoke Juuls while a customer stands waiting is unfathomable to me. When I paid he also signed for me???? I watched it happen and asked if I was supposed to sign to which he replied "nah I got it for you." What???????? Is that legal. State Inspections - Windshield Wipers Every single time I come to this particular Jiffy Lube off of Creedmore Rd in Raleigh, I'm told I have to replace a wiper blade (or both) before I can pass inspection - everytime. And it's not just me. I overheard another customer needing a new wiper blade to pass inspection. And they have a large RainX wipers display right next to the front desk. Oh, and I asked to look at it - they showed me it was damaged. curious. So, is there something shady going on? Next time (if there is a next time), I will inspect the blades. Went for an oil change. Have used this store for years. Sometimes, there is a wait, because there may be many cars, and they may be shorthanded if someone calls in sick. Fair enough. But this time I was told, "45 minutes." Again, fair enough. Well. After an hour and 10 minutes, they still had not even STARTED my car. In fact, in that time they had gotten only two cars processed. Three workers had stood in a group, laughing and pointing at their phones, for nearly that entire 70 minutes. There was ONE person who seemed to be working, and he was in no hurry. I finally just left, getting my car out of the line (which was as long as when I arrived). When you have workers standing around playing grab-a**, instead of working, the problem is not that you are short-handed. The problem is that they apparently want customers to go to one of MANY other places that sell oil changes. Places that actually want your business, and care about service. I intend to help them with their long lines. They will not to deal with my car clogging up their business any more after this. I get the message! read more

If I could do 0 stars I would. I went to this location back in November of 2022 where I asked the mechanic working on my car about the status of my brakes, to which he told me I'd need new ones by the time I came in for my next oil change. So 7 months later (since I have worked from home majority of this time and don't have to drive far) my mileage is reaching the number on the sticker for the next change. I order my brakes and oil and take it to a new mechanic to get the work done. He COULD NOT do the work because this location BUSTED my oil plug, and now I need to replace the plug and the pan. They did not tighten the plug flush to my car, they put it on crooked and at a slant and when I went back to this location to ask about this issues they pawned it off on me as if this was all my fault. When speaking with the mechanic at jiffy lube he LIED and told me I need to provide a plug each time I get my oil done. THIS IS A BLATANT LIE. I spoke with my car dealership who backed me up and said everything I was told at jiffy lube was incorrect. I should not need to be replacing the plug each oil change. The mechanics at this location need to be trained on how to do an oil change, how to not throw away peoples oil covers, and need some training in customer service. The fact that I was told it was my fault for them BUSTING the plug and putting it in my car and not telling me it had a broken piece is beyond me. I can't say that I'm in love with their strange line-up system. Three service cubbies, cars lined up in every cubby. If cubby 1 opens up, for example, and you're in cubby 3, they will move you into cubby 1 if you've been waiting longer than the person ALREADY in cubby 1. While I appreciate the fairness of it all, it's an inefficient system. I would just have everyone wait in one line by the entrance and shuffle in the cars accordingly. (god-like voice) Behold and praise me! The expert on cubby lines and such! Anyway, aside from all that, this can be a top notch business when it wants to be. Everything moves smoothly like a well-oiled machine (get it? oil?). And when you've got the right people there (like I did the other day) you're in and out in a flash. A bit of the old in-out, in-out, as the droogs would say in "A Clockwork Orange." But I'm positive they weren't talking about getting an oil change at Jiffy Lube. Though lube may have been a factor... Whilst I waited in line listening to the Rock The Bells station on Sirius, one of the workers came over to me to explain the order of things: I'd be next in cubby 2 and since they were wrapping up for the day, I'd get two guys on my car instead of one. Aces. I LOVE communication. Once inside, they went to work. I told the main guy that I was only trying to shell out a certain amount of dollars and he worked with me. He cut a couple of costs, rustled up a coupon for me and I actually came in under budget. I like these guys' style. Instantly, my car felt better. An extra expense popped up though, as my filter was a damned mess of a thing and, again, he worked with me to afford a new one. Check the photo I posted. It looked like my car tried to eat a whole sheep. So yeah, great spot depending on who is working at the moment and what time of day you manage to visit. Took my wife car in for oil change. In and out pretty quickly. Do not like the "hidden" shop supplies added to listed oil change price. $5.99 added to every oil change. As my wife was pulling out of garage to leave for N Virginia I noticed oil on the garage floor. Not a few drops but a substantial amount. Told her she had to go back by to have checked. She was told after inspection it was just some overflow but everything was tight and they cleaned it up. Not the first time here so I guess I should have known better but they half mile from my house. Agree with other reviewers that I see a lot of standing around and employee BS ing . You do oil changes. You should be better at it. read more

I have been using Jiffy lube on Creedmor Rd for years, they are good, I always keep an eye on them and tip them accordingly!

With one exception months ago (which made me reticent about returning), the folks at Jiffy Lube are always friendly and live up to their jiffy name. When you pull up to the shop front, almost immediately there is a greeting. This is impressive as the work they do is physically demanding, so being friendly while working is a double skill bonus. I'm feeling it from you all JL! I have had oil changes at this location and this is the first time I'd done a State Inspection. While there was a snafu with the computer printing out the necessary paperwork, the staff person figured it out after a while. The bummer, though was that while I was waiting, no one told me what the hold up was. Secondly, when I came in, I asked for someone to check the air in my tires, please. The guy who was really nice, said to please inform the Service Manager that I needed a check. Ok fine. I did. She looked at me a little odd...but said they would check. I see when I get in the car, the yellow light goes off asking for air nourishment. So I ask "hey, did you check?" Nawwww says the service manager, pull it back around. If I did not have the newfangled yellow light warning, I would never have known they did NOT check. Come on NOW! But you see, because they were nice, the WHOLE time and made me feel like a friend....I wasn't mad at 'em. read more

The employees at this location are typically very professional. And for just an oil change this store is OK. HOWEVER, you should not trust any additional recommendations they provide. I just had my wife's car in and they said her rear brakes needed replacement at $400. We had just had her car in at Just Tires and they had measured her brakes at 50%. We even took her car back to Just Tires immediately after being at jiffy Lube and they were at 50%. This is the third time I've had this Jiffy Lube try to recommend unnecessary work. I was nervous about going to a Jiffy Lube (since I have friends who have had bad experiences), but geared up to go -- especially since I already purchased a Groupon! I rolled up and was greeted by one of the attendants/mechanics -- and he was courteous and friendly! When I went inside, I was expecting for my Groupon to be frowned upon (since I wouldn't be a cash-paying customer), but the lady inside was super nice! Had a decent wait-time (a little cramped inside, though). The guy at the register was very informative and explained everything (all the extra options and prices) -- but the winning factor was that he wasn't pushy about having me upgrade for extra $$. This is the laziest bunch of slackers I've ever seen and one of them was an outrageously rude person who doesn't deserve a job ANYWHERE without an attitude adjustment. After waiting so long for no service, I am in no mood to spend more time on these fools explaining all the details. If the franchise owner of this location see this, here's some advise....clean house. I've only commented like three or four times in Yelp and the last one was about 1.5 years ago when I gave rave reviews about a different Jiffy Lube on Glenwood. I sat in my truck 2nd in line, clear view of all employees for over 30 minutes without being acknowledged while other patrons were immediately greeted coming in well after I did. When mentioned to the manager he simply said "I see what you mean. They all probably thought you had been greeted already". I would suggest otherwise. read more

They used to be great, but now they aren't run as well as they used to. Prime example - my wife and I both have been asked to fill low coolant levels for $5 for the past 3 oil changes each. I've stopped in here on occasion for a oil change. If you happen to have a coupon (be sure and look for them) this location is as good as most but probably better than others. Let's start out with the lady at the front dEsk. So angry and unwilling to help. She directs people around like a dictator when you simply want to ask a question or tell her why you are coming in. They don't have regular oil for any car that may be considered luxury and you are forced to upgrade to synthetic. A simple oil change can cost well over $100. The wait time was unreasonable considering it was not busy at all. When changing my oil they didn't take the bottom plastic piece off completely and got oil all over it. I had to ask them to clean it off when the service was over. They now have break service here. I was told I would have to come back to get this done and they couldn't even give me a quote. So much for trying to be a one stop shop. read more

Hands down the best service around! I've been frequenting this location for 2 and a half years and I always leave with a smile. Oil changes and inspections are speedy if they aren't busy and if they are the wait isn't too bad at all. Besides, there is plenty to do in the shopping center if you do have to wait. They don't push with other services either. They open your doors! All of them! It's so unnecessary, but I'm from the north so this tickles me to no end. They also usually have a female on duty, too. I Came to this location for the first time today and I found them the employees extremely pleasant and helpful. I wasn't sure where to go when I first pulled up, but before I could "panic" an attendant came up, took care of everything, and escorted me to their waiting area. When I walked into the room there were many people; however my oil change was finished in no time! I literally went next door to get a coffee and my car was done when I walked out of the dunkin doughnuts next door. The guy who checked me out was so friendly and efficient (also he didn't harass me about adding additional services, which I often encounter being a female). Came in just to get an oil change, and they recommended I change my air filters. They were old and needed to be replaced, but I was never given a cost to do the work. I assumed they would be maybe $20 each for the cabin and engine filters. I was charged $90 for both air filters. When they first recommended I replace them, they pulled the old filters in about two minutes so I know they only take a couple minutes to replace and labor should be nowhere near that much. When I asked for the cost of just the air filters without labor, I was told they couldn't do that. Looking on autozone they can both be less than $20 each. Definitely a scam. read more
