Currently I'm getting an oil change and inspection, 4 people have came after and left before me although I was told it would be about an hour and a half. Came here 18 July 2020 on a Saturday and was seen right away. I came for PA emissions inspection and safety inspection. Car is a 2012 Prius that was 99% driven and housed in California along with being kept in immaculate working condition, as it had the tighter inspections (CA state) done on it before. Was told my wiper blades didn't pass, which is unreal and laughable. Here is a quick tip to make any windshield wiper pass: take a towel and some rubbing alcohol and rub the blades, no streaks. Streaks are caused by dirt on blade. Simple fix. Very petty "failure" that is probably used to get people to buy wiper blades from them. Don't fall for that, if you need new wiper blades, use amazon or autozone..something like that. I have always been reserved about being a patron of chain places like Jiffy Lube and this only strengthens my opinion. Be a careful customer in general, places feed off the scared and weak. read more

Came to this Jiffy Lube for a car inspection because I realized my sticker had expired and was unable to get an appointment at my mechanic. So I panicked. I was told that I needed front brakes and rotors in order to pass inspection and was given a very high quote. (In addition to needing an air filter and cabin air filter). I told them that I would have the brakes done elsewhere - and for them to just fail the car... When I went to pick it up, he told me that he was doing me a favor and would pass the car, despite the brakes, but that I should have them done within one month. Two months later, I had the brakes inspected at my mechanic. He told me that the brakes were in good condition and not in need of replacement anytime soon. Brakes are an objective measurement. This was an obvious attempt to defraud. Stay away. read more

I'll preface by saying I've never given a 1 star before but this warranted it. Had been here once before for a quick oil change. Little pricier but that was ok b/c understand can drop in get service be on my way. Yes the standard air filters are dirty etc but I was fine; rep was courteous polite and to the point. I'd give that visit a 5/5 or 4/5. However today figured I'd pop in and nip inspection in the bud after grocery shopping...worst mistake I've made in a while. Was only me and another customer in there and 5-7 workers...Was polite told them what I wanted done (oil change, inspection, emissions test) told me about 45 minutes. Fine. Service rep comes out and gives me breakdown of costs...1/2 off tire rotation ok fine (will note guy forgot to mark 1/2 which I caught and politely corrected him no big deal at that time), passed on air filters, said wipers would fail inspection ok fine had them swapped out . All this came to about $180 felt a little pricey but fine once a year. 10 Minutes later guy comes back and says gas cap failed inspection...I'll note I've never had issue with gas cap. Claims not sealing etc...this is the plastic gas cap. I ask what will that cost, says he'll get a quote..Great, first red flag. I'm thinking ok no big deal best not to argue just need to get through all this. Comes bac $32 bucks or so..fine lets keep moving. Tell him I've never had issue before but if necessary to pass let's get it done. Wait another 30 minutes or so no big deal figure we are all done. Service agent Joe comes back out matter-of-factly and say ok we are all done and then proceeds to tell me the car has passed emissions but failed inspection. He claims the front and drive seatbelts are frayed and torn....Also claims vehicle drifts/pulls to the right and switches lanes during road test. I start seeing red...Never have I had any issues before and I"ll state never have I had a car that didn't pull slightly at one point or another one way or the other. If the car was unsafe I would not be driving it! Nobody had ever pointed out pull before, I also wonder what their road test entails b/c it never left the block! Regarding seatbelts I clearly wouldn't be driving it if they were torn and frayed. There is minor damage to the seatbelts (car is 2011) but never had been an issue at the dealer or other areas I've had service my car. I was livid. I politely as I could told the rep I would not be coming back and curious why none of this ever came up before as was in for oil change two months prior and complete clean bill of health. If the goal is for repeat customers then Jiffy Lube needs to change their approach. They definitely will not be getting me back by what I believe was upselling me. Never once did he offer a solution on how to pass either...just basically said that's it and was ready to check me out as if I wasn't concerned about passing inspection? I thought that was unusual because I'd expect him to at least tell what the cost would be today to pass. I also asked what standards Jiffy Lube uses for their inspections because nobody else had pointed any of this out before prior and he smugly stated state inspections. $218 later no passing inspection and will say agent was pretty much a jerk about things. I was not happy but kept it together. I'm a pretty easy going guy kept wondering if somehow I had rubbed this guy the wrong way and hence they decided to find way to fail me but really nothing I can think of that would have caused that. Needless to say was pretty awful experience; could have just been that one agent as previous visit with different agent was fine but I'm not taking my chances here ever again. read more

I've been to this location twice now and both times I've been greeted and taken care of within seconds of arrival. There's always coffee and current magazines available while you wait. But don't expect to be here long. Both trips were only an oil change but were less than 30minutes both. Exceptional service! They never put air in your tires as they claim to. My paperwork says they did, but I knew I had a low tire coming in, and it was the same pressure coming out. You pay for the full service but they don't do their job. Plus, DO NOT LET THEM ROTATE your tires. They rotated my wife's company car tires and they never reset the tire pressure system to the new tire arrangement. When the warning light went off for the front tire it turned out to be the back tire. Which also tells you they didn't rotate the tires appropriately. You never just switch the front and back unless you have directional tires. Not worth the money. CJ's, Scotts or Mavis are much better choices. read more

Look out for the Bait and Switch...I called ahead to ensure they could change my break pads and order the pads I wanted and was willing to pay the extra amount, so I drove there and the bait and switch started. Once I arrived the person I spoke to on the phone said they would not be able to use the pads I wanted because they did not feel comfortable using them. I told them to use what they had and they said the would. Close to an hour waiting they tell me the rotors are low but not that bad, I told them just replace the break pads. He said they would. He then went to speak with his manager and his manager said they don't feel comfortable not changing everything even though the rotors are still within the safe threshold. So I was willing to spend the $260 for their cheap breaks, now I will just get the parts myself and do it, which is what I wanted to avoid. Oh well they had their chance. I brought in my car for emissions inspection. Their employee verbally told me it failed for an aspect of the steering system. So fine, I take it home and fix the problem. HOWEVER, once I bring it back for the re-inspection, they suddenly remember that it also failed for having old wiper blades!
