I told the technician exactly what I wanted, and he gave me a lot of push back, threatening me that he'd void my warranty if I didn't get the more expensive oil he tried to upsell to me. It wasn't until I told him that my fiance used to work at Jiffy Lube that he backed off, and even then, he tried to dominate the conversation - "Well who's your fiance? I've never heard of him. He must have been pretty bad at his job." I'm sure there are tons of Jiffy Lubes with much more pleasant technicians. Go to one of those instead. read more

Horrible! I took my car in around 5pm afterwork and specifically told the guy who was taking my information to call me when the car was done. I noticed there were about 3 cars in front of me so I told him I would walk home and to just call me before they close so I can pick up my car. Never called, nothing. I had to work that night and couldn't even get there because they left my car in their garage without any notice. I was furious and had no way of calling anyone for assistance in getting my car out. I spent too much money out of my pocket using cabs just to get to work. When I called the manager didn't care at all and didn't offer anything but an apology on his behalf. Well that is just not good enough. I would have rather skipped a $20 oil change if I was going to pay so much money out of my pocket to get to work without a vehicle. I eventually just said I will not pay for your services as they already cost me over 60 bucks in extra fees I didn't have money for. I picked up my car and all they gave me was a little business card paper for a car wash. Ha slap in the face. Never will go there again! I rather drive many miles before I give them any of my money. read more

I see a lot of complaints for this place, but I didn't have any problems. The staff was friendly enough and although they gave the regular spiel (e.g. use this expensive oil, get this replaced, get that replaced), they weren't pushy. My only wish is that the price were lower. I'm used to paying around $35 for an oil change so $51 (even after a $5 coupon) seems a little high. read more

I wasn't even planning on getting an oil change. I was babysitting and had to run a quick errand at the CVS across the street- but for the sake of convenience I went to Jiffy Lube hoping for a quick service. When I walked in, a woman was yelling at the men working on her car. She demanded to pay a lower price for her oil change because she gets "a deal down the street at Casey's" (like.. go to the other place if you get a deal????). The little boy I was babysitting (who has Autism) started crying because he was frightened by this loud woman. The men working maintained a professional attitude and tried reasoning with the woman but she wouldn't budge. The manager apologized to me for the way he acted (even though he was nothing short of professional) and for the negative experience I got caught it. Ultimately, I stayed at that Jiffy Lube for an additional 20 minutes after my car had been serviced because the men working were so friendly, positive, and wanted to ensure that I was okay and so was the boy I was babysitting. I don't even live close to this Jiffy Lube- but I will always return because of the people who work there, their honesty, and kind hearts. read more

Needing an oil change, this Jiffy Lube seemed like a convenient location on our way home from visiting family in the suburbs. On arrival, I was happy to see we were the only car and customer -- and seeing more than 4 employees leaning on the wall and/or playing on phones as we arrived -- I was looking forward to a reasonably quick visit. Somehow, the oil change itself took over an hour. They finally pull the car out of the bay, and the entire garage is filled with white smoke ... coming out of my car exhaust. The manager runs over and says he told "the team" to fill only 4.2 quarts, and they accidentally added 6. All said and told, our normal oil change took nearly 2 hours (as the only customer). I'd recommend avoiding this location. read more

That's the worst experience that I ever had for oil change service!! If you don't want to deal with all the unprofessional crappy job on your car, pay extra to go dealership then you will be happy and stay away all the stupid punk who will touch you car. Last time I went there for oil change, that stupid oil change guy broke my car hood release handle, yes completely broken and for sure I did not able to do oil change! Even they are agreed to pay for the damage but don't trust them, they would make your life so crazy to chase them money! I signed the agreement which issued from them, that manager kept saying they would file it in the next day but never happen, it was waste my time to always go back and forth to get back my money, it's couple hundred dollars! End up the manager told lies to me and I never can get hold with him since he quit the job! Then I asked for the stuff who works there and knew what happen, got their district manager to settled the issues and its totally took me couple months! What a nightmare!! It totally wasted my time to deal with the the mess!! Now I understand why the web always spread out the rumor that NEVER GO JIFFY LUBE TO GET OIL CHANGE, because IT'S"S NOT A RUMOR BUT ITS A TRUTH! The customer service was outstanding and ensured I was adequately informed regarding whst services my car required before I made any decisions. Best of all, Andre was able to find me discounts to help me stay within my budget. I just had my oil changed here this evening and this will be my go-to place going forward. The minute I drove up, the manager came out to greet me and showed me to the waiting room. She advised me of a special on synthetic which ended up costing less then what I expected the conventional to be. Another employee tipped me off to a problem with my brakes. They were all extremely helpful and attentive. I wish I would have had more cash on me so I could have tipped them more. Great experience. Thank you! read more

Just got an oil change at this location - the staff was helpful, service was quick and the bathroom was EXTREMELY clean. Recommended.

Have been here a few times in the past, always good service, came in again today as the oil service indicator on the car had been on for while. They looked at the level and service record and as it turns out had an issue with the indicator and things were still good for few thousand miles. They could have easily just changed the oil and charged me and I'd have been none the wiser but they fixed the indicator and let me know I didn't need a change yet, really appreciated the honesty and excellent customer service. On 1/6/17, I took my car into this location for a simple oil change. When I came back for my car, I was given the invoice in the amount of $38.31, which I paid. On 1/17/17, my car was in a repair shop for unrelated service. I was informed that the oil was so dirty that it caused the "Check Engine" warning light to come on. The fact is that my oil had NOT BEEN CHANGED on the 6th. Waiting to hear from Jiffy Lube Corporate about how they plan to resolve this issue. But I will NEVER go to this location again! read more

This is the worst oil change place ever, STAY AWAY! I used their service for the Signature Oil Change on a regular basis until I had transmission trouble. I found out that they had not been checking the fluid like they claim they do and my $2,000 transmission overhaul could have been avoided if they just did what they claim to do, check the fluid levels. read more

If you have never had your oil changed here, you should check it out. If you used to come here and left because of a bad situation in the past- Give them another shot. I have used this location, off and on, for over 15 years. I know that some people say "those guys always try to get you buy services you don't need" But I strongly disagree when it comes this location. I don't know how long the store has been under new management but I can say for the last 6-8 months that this store is a place you can trust. The manager Neil is by far one of the most honest people I have dealt with in the automotive industry and quite possibly all the other industries. That is not easy for me to say because I work in the hotel industry and rarely do I find the service we provide in the stores and businesses that I visit. In the last 3 oil changes, twice I have pulled in and they told me very nicely "You do not need to change your oil." They topped off my fluids(something that the Signature service is worth the extra money for as they also fill wiper fluid and vacuum) and suggested that I return in another 1500 miles. As long as they keep the Management and staff they have now, I will never look for another place to change my oil. Coincidentally, I was just talking to my staff this week(because the sticker said I was due for a change but I mainly do highway miles so it makes sense the oil lasts longer.) about how great this store was and how they told me 2 changes ago that I didn't need one yet. And then I pull into the store to see if they are open and they amaze me again with their excellent service. I don't tend to trust too many people now a days, sad but true. However, I would personally recommend this location to anyone. I would even say that it is worth the drive if you don't live nearby. About 5 years ago, I quit coming here because of the service. Instead, I went to their Hanover park location which gave great service and was close to a friends. I mention this as sometimes you have to go a little farther to get what you want. They have some great restaurants in the strip mall if you want to grab something before you get home. You may say "Its only an oil change, who cares who does it" However, I strongly disagree. Especially when it comes to the only vehicle I own which gets me to work, the grocery store, and every other place I go to. Rest assured- These guys will take great care of you. Seriously. I am just here for an oil change and transmission service with an air filter change. Have been here over an hour for what I was told would take 15 minutes. They are doing a lot of standing around and talking though. Have not even offered to tell me why this is taking so long. Have better ways to spend a Saturday. Will not be back. read more

Went to this location on my lunch hour for a quick oil change which resulted in Ted telling me what the manufacturer recommends, not a price tho, and I needed an air filter and coolant top off. When all said and done my bill was $134.00!! What the heck did I buy?! The following day while still annoyed by this I checked my invoice to see that they performed an oil change & full inspection for a 4x4....I have a 2 wheel drive vehicle. I called the location and spoke with an employee who explained the service to me and I replied I don't have a 4x4, wouldn't you notice this upon your inspection of my vehicle? One would think but he put me on hold to find out, when he came back on he explained that he could reimburse me for the difference, of what I asked, I've never paid even half of this price for an oil change! Of course, he did not know how much that would be. Two more days later, I called him back and learned he forgot to figure out my credit but would do it now and call me back. Yep, 2 hours later I called him back and learned he could give me $10.50 back!! Poor customer service without the entire business as I have also contacted their corporate headquarters twice with no reply, rip off of service claiming they are doing something and yet they are not and obviously they are horribly overpriced. Will never return to another Jiffy Lube for any reason. **As this site does not allow for a reply to their reply, or not that I can find. I contacted the store 3 times in 2 days, I also filled out the contact us on the Jiffy Lube website (of course there is no contact phone number to call) and yet I have not been contacted by phone or personally by email however I did receive what appears to be an automated response to my email in that my complaint and information have been passed along. Not even close to good enough, horrible service and even worse customer service response!!** Nothing could get me back into a Jiffy Lube. read more

At first they told me they don't take my fleet card. After I call my fleet department jiffy lube figure out them self they have to call a 1800 number before charging me. I wish they were more sure about things before saying they don't take my card. I waste a long time there. read more

I came this this jiffy lube the other day, the manager Ted and tech Sean where very professional and fast with the service. I probably only waited 10-12 min and I was on the road again. I had a unusual smell in my car and they pulled my cabin air filter and man was that thing filthy, even had mold on it. I'm glad they check all the filters because I would have never know about the cabin filter and they checked all my fluids. Heck they even washed my windows and vacuumed my floors. Also free top offs until my next oil change. This location will be my go to shop for oil changes and highly recommend bringing your vehicle here!!! read more

ATTENTION JIFFY LUBE EXECUTIVES: I wish to give two commendations regarding two employees "Ted" and "James", at store #1738 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. My name is Maria R., my vehicle sticker was falling off my car, and I cannot afford to replace a $100 dollar sticker. I needed my license plate removed to crazy glue the pieces of my sticker back on my plate. I could not remove it myself, so I stopped in Jiffy lube, and asked a fine employee named "Tim" if he could help. I explained my situation, Tim smiled and said he could help! He brought out this tool and unscrewed the rusty screws from my plate, and removed it, allowing me to crazy glue the pieces of my sticker back on. Tim was kind, thoughtful, and super professional. I was very relieved, and most grateful for his willingness to help! Great job Tim. Tim's willingness to help me with an unrelated problem, is the reason this consumer will always return to Jiffy lube. Then on another visit, there was "James", I had to have an expensive service done on my vehicle. I was very short on money, but could not afford to have my car in disrepair as I need to get to work. I explained to James I was struggling financially, and was unsure if I could afford the service. I was very upset. I told James it comes down to getting my car fixed, or buying food and paying the electric bill. James thoughtfully listened to my dilemma, and said "let me see what we can do to help". He entered a coupon code in the computer and was able to reduce the original quote to something I could afford. I had the service done, and paid. I thanked him for helping me, and got in my car and cried. I was so touched by the kindness he showed to me, and his utter professionalism, I had to tell you about him. Jiffy Lube Executives: PLEASE pick up the phone, or GO VISIT YOUR STORE, and MAKE A POINT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THESE TWO FINE YOUNG MEN, whose parents clearly raised them properly. read more

I used them for several years for all of my families cars until I had an oil leak in one of my cars and the mechanic showed me that the oil filter was the cause. Someone tried to get it off with but couldn't so it was left on there leaking. The date on the filter was from two years prior meaning that for two years when I had my oil changed, they never replaced the filter. They lost my business for all of my cars after that. I was intending to get the highest grade oil and differential service, but there was no way I was giving this place more money. What a terrible experience... Only had three cars in front of me and waited for over an hour. Receipt stated that everything was checked and all fluids topped off, but went to use windshield washer fluid and was completely empty!!! Bunch of punk kids "working" that had no idea what they were doing...insisted on selling me countless other things even though I told them I was just there for an oil change. This was my first time coming here and I honestly will never come back. I came here for an oil change They asked me what kind of oil my car used-I always go to the dealership for oil changes so I wasn't sure I figured they would know since they're the car experts. They said they checked their system and my car uses synthetic oil and my total ended up coming to $75! I pay $25-30 at Kia. I told them that was really high. After I left I noticed my car was leaving oil spots where I was parking. I ended up taking my car back there a few hours later. Now having to unload my two kids out of their car seats so they could check my car. It ended up that my pan was not cleaned well and they had to clean it. For paying $75 my car better have the best oil change its ever been given and this was the absolute worst. My lesson was learned--stick with car dealerships for oil changes. Don't trust places like this to give you honesty they took advantage of me because I didn't know what kind of oil my car used so they gave me the most expensive oil that can go in a car. Bring my 3 cars here from time to time... not overly impressed especially today when the main sales dude sold me and every other person that walked din the door the "fill up you coolent, it's a little low for $4.99"... in the 30 minutes I was there 5 customers including myself bought it... really EVERY car that came in was low on coolent... doubtful... also way over priced compared to a car dealership or NTB... they charged me $45, the other places start at $19.95. probably the last time I go here. read more

This place was not as fast as I thought it was going to be. Also they recommended a repair for my vehicle of replacing a light bulb over license plate. I told them go ahead and do it. later they came back and told me it was a dealer item only after they wasted 20 minutes trying to fix it. I don't really advise coming here unless you know what you are getting yourself into with your vehicle. They definitely try to sell you everything under the sun. I think the main person here might even be the owner. He had a technician working on my vehicle that looked like he had just gotten done with 8th grade. Definitely did not seem very knowledgeable. I had them change the oil of the truck and watched meticulously because I did not have trust after seeing how they were working with me. After I left the place I verified the oil was at the right level and it was. If I go back I will still be looking to gain confidence with them. read more

On December 11th 2015 my fiancé took her car in to get her oil changed. She has an older Toyota Rav4 that has the hood support when open. After the employee was done she goes to close the hood without removing the support and creases the hood a good six inches and damages the frame of the hood. The manager Ted sees what happens and comes out and is very apologetic. The car at this point is no longer drivable since the hood does not latch closed. Ted pulls the car out (where there are no cameras) and he proceeds to hammer the hood flat so the hood would latch. He tells my fiancé to get an estimate which we have done. Because of the age of the hood we obtained an estimate for a used hood. I call Ted with what he asked us to do and he said all they are going to do is repair the damage. I go back to get an estimate just for the repairs and it is more than the refurbished hood. I have tried to call the general manager Andre and his number was disconnected, I have spoken to Jiffy Lube Corporate on 4 different occasions and they told me I would hear back within 24 hours and nothing. All we want to do is get the hood replaced and make the car safe to drive. We will never go to any Jiffy Lube location again. Their customer service is terrible! We just wish they would take accountability for the damage they caused and make this situation right. read more

I had tried this Jiffy Lube a number of times before simply because I live within walking distance, but always felt "put off" by the high pressure sales tactics. I stopped in on a whim because the protective cover underneath my engine started dragging (a screw or two must have fallen out or broke). This team was super-nice and more than happy to help. I realized that I was a little over 3,000 miles since my last oil change, and said since I was there, and they were being so cool, I might as well get it changed. The new manager came back a couple minutes later, told me that when he checked my oil it looked very clean and was full where it should have been. He suggested that I could go awhile yet before I needed it changed. THAT had never happened before! He treated me like a person not a target! That little bit of kindness has earned my trust. I have 3 cars. I will be bring them all to his Jiffy Lube as long as he's there! read more
