Wasn't very happy with my oil change service. The staff wasn't very communicative, didn't update me on the status of my car or tell me if fluids were topped, if anything was wrong, or if all looked well. They didn't reset my oil life in the car and didn't replace the sticker to show when I'm due next. read more

This location has disappointed me on several occasions over the last decade. I keep trying to give them another chance, but it always ends in disappointment. First time visiting this location they didn't have the correct filter for a GM car. The second time, they didn't have the correct oil. Last time, they didn't change the oil. They just topped it off and reset the indicator. My mechanic friend confirmed that. The Jiffy Lube on Dundee road is superior to this location. read more

Been there before and it was fine for the most part. Most recently went there at 8am where the website and physical location door stated they would be open by. Myself and three other customers wait for 15 minutes with no workers still showing up. I can certainly understand one person being late, but for the entire staff not to be there was mind boggling. So I called the night before to ensure they had the filter needed for my car and to get a price since I was sending my wife over because I couldn't get off work and we needed an oil change for an upcoming road trip. I asked multiple time are you sure you have everything. "YES WE JUST GOT OUR SHIPMENT". He even told me who to have my wife ask for. My wife goes they don't have the filter and the guy acted like he didn't know what she was talking about! Okay. Lesson learned. Having been in the military I lost sight of the fact that everyone doesn't have integrity. I'm most irritated that my wife had to go out and waste her time. Needless to say these guys couldn't change the oil in my lawn mower. Really sad. read more

They directed me to wait in a line which was fine but no one came up to me in my car and asked what service I needed. They just made me wait in a line for five minutes and none of the five people working there standing around came and asked me. Zero out of 10 will not be going back. I used to work at and manage one of these places YEARS ago. Pulled up to 2 open bays but waited outside for 5 minutes with multiple employees looking at us. No one came out to greet us. They finally motioned us into one of the open bays. Greeted us nicely but failed to ask what we were in for. Finally came to talk to me minutes in but that was to ask for info since it was my first time, I have brought this car and multiple others since 2004. Brought out the air filters later but other than that said nothing about my car. I know I have leaks and issues, but nothing was mentioned or notated. Then to find out a synthetic change is $100 with no vacuum or anything was a shock. I'll definitely be looking for a new place. read more

I went here for an oil change and a tire rotation. The guy doing the change seemed really unsure and kept on needing to ask advice of another guy. They said I needed brake fluid too, but they didn't do that. They also didn't do the tire rotation because they thought my tires were worn and rotating them might make the situation worse. Maybe there was truth to that. A short time after the appointment my car developed an oil leak, leaking a bunch of oil onto the garage floor. I took my car into my dealer and they said Jiffy Lube had left the drain plug loose causing all of the oil to leak out. The dealer also said my brake fluid was just fine. We will not be taking our cars back to this location. read more

If I could rate this -5 stars I would I took my mother's FWD 2013 Equinox in for a quick oil change because my usual guy was booked up before a roadtrip I'm taking this week. First off the guy decides I need full synthetic service for a 4x4, my moms car is a 2wd. He neglects to tell me this is NINETY DOLLAR ($90!!!) CHARGE for an OIL CHANGE AND FILTER. Included in this charge was the cost of the oil itself, around $11 a quart. To top it all off the oil monkey doing the work left the radio controls, gear shift, and steering wheel covered in oil. My father called the service manager and this manager had the audacity to argue with the man who bought the car that the vehicle was all wheel drive. After trying to figure out why an oil change and filter cost 90 dollars, the dude offers to take $10 off the next one. Fat chance. Avoid this place like the plague. You be better off throwing your wallet in the furnace. read more

On Monday, March 11th I went to jiffy lube in rolling meadows. At age 77, many woman are nervous to go get their car fixed. I have been going for light maintenance to jiffy lube for many years. I'm always greeted with a cup of coffee and smiling faces by Ted and Brian. They never try to talk me into services I don't need. Keep up the great work guys. Being in the automotive industry most of my life, I can recall getting my feet wet at a Jiffy Lube in Country Club Hills back in the 80's. While still knee-high to a grasshopper, experience was rather limited and I can appreciate my roots now. I can also see where technology has both improved and hindered the customer service side of things. Young millennial's in possession of electronic devices poses a huge distraction when personal attention in the customer service industry is required. These distractions can subject a team member, vehicle or a customer to falling into the "Pit" if your not paying attention. You can implement any tool that you want to make things easier, but you have to properly utilize and manage the use of those tools in order for them to be effective. Someone who has knowledge of proper maintenance application for their vehicles can easily bypass the rhetoric. They can come in to this facility and get what is needed and go about their day. On the other hand, the unsuspecting & unknowing can easily be subject to being taken advantage of by a corporation that instills rehearsed maintenance practices in hopes of inflating their bottom line. I was presented with maintenance options that I felt were not needed but someone thought they'd pad the bottom line on my invoice. I watched as 2 other customers who were also prepositioned for the same actions without the necessity. This obviously is just a matter of opinion. Do not hear me wrong, proper maintenance is always the key to the longevity of anything mechanical. Being honest with presentation will go further in the long run and you will be able to retain more customer base. Simple practices such as those when utilized are far more Beneficial. I was always in the belief that you can sheer a sheep multiple times and benefit from what it yields. If you sacrifice that same sheep, you only get it once. I dislike seeing someone being subject to fraudulent services just to supplement a commission based pay scale. I took my Ford Focus in for an oil change because I had a coupon. It was $80 because they told me I had to have a full synthetic oil change. According to the sign in the store, the $80 oil change is for luxury cars, which my Ford is not. The men were simply asked "Hey, do you want anything extra?" while I was told I need to replace parts that I don't even have in my car. Another woman was told she needed $400 in repairs, even though she just had her car into the dealership. I'm a young woman who went in alone and I can't help but feel discriminated against. Update: The manager called me based on this review, which was nice. He confirmed that I was given incorrect information. He said if I came in I would get a discount on my next oil change. 2/2021 Have not been here for a while. Had my daughters car and it needed an oil change. So had it done and was able to use a coupon. That helped for sure. The manager and the techs were helpful and were polite. Safety of me and them both for Covid was good. They had safety protocols I appreciated. Service did not take long as I was satisfied with it. Horrible! I took my car in around 5pm afterwork and specifically told the guy who was taking my information to call me when the car was done. I noticed there were about 3 cars in front of me so I told him I would walk home and to just call me before they close so I can pick up my car. Never called, nothing. I had to work that night and couldn't even get there because they left my car in their garage without any notice. I was furious and had no way of calling anyone for assistance in getting my car out. I spent too much money out of my pocket using cabs just to get to work. When I called the manager didn't care at all and didn't offer anything but an apology on his behalf. Well that is just not good enough. I would have rather skipped a $20 oil change if I was going to pay so much money out of my pocket to get to work without a vehicle. I eventually just said I will not pay for your services as they already cost me over 60 bucks in extra fees I didn't have money for. I picked up my car and all they gave me was a little business card paper for a car wash. Ha slap in the face. Never will go there again! I rather drive many miles before I give them any of my money. read more

I told the technician exactly what I wanted, and he gave me a lot of push back, threatening me that he'd void my warranty if I didn't get the more expensive oil he tried to upsell to me. It wasn't until I told him that my fiance used to work at Jiffy Lube that he backed off, and even then, he tried to dominate the conversation - "Well who's your fiance? I've never heard of him. He must have been pretty bad at his job." I'm sure there are tons of Jiffy Lubes with much more pleasant technicians. Go to one of those instead. read more

The staff was friendly enough and although they gave the regular spiel (e.g. use this expensive oil, get this replaced, get that replaced), they weren't pushy. My only wish is that the price were lower. I'm used to paying around $35 for an oil change so $51 (even after a $5 coupon) seems a little high. read more

I wasn't even planning on getting an oil change. I was babysitting and had to run a quick errand at the CVS across the street- but for the sake of convenience I went to Jiffy Lube hoping for a quick service. When I walked in, a woman was yelling at the men working on her car. She demanded to pay a lower price for her oil change because she gets "a deal down the street at Casey's" (like.. go to the other place if you get a deal????). The little boy I was babysitting (who has Autism) started crying because he was frightened by this loud woman. The men working maintained a professional attitude and tried reasoning with the woman but she wouldn't budge. The manager apologized to me for the way he acted (even though he was nothing short of professional) and for the negative experience I got caught it. Ultimately, I stayed at that Jiffy Lube for an additional 20 minutes after my car had been serviced because the men working were so friendly, positive, and wanted to ensure that I was okay and so was the boy I was babysitting. I don't even live close to this Jiffy Lube- but I will always return because of the people who work there, their honesty, and kind hearts. read more

That's the worst experience that I ever had for oil change service!! If you don't want to deal with all the unprofessional crappy job on your car, pay extra to go dealership then you will be happy and stay away all the stupid punk who will touch you car. Last time I went there for oil change, that stupid oil change guy broke my car hood release handle, yes completely broken and for sure I did not able to do oil change! Even they are agreed to pay for the damage but don't trust them, they would make your life so crazy to chase them money! I signed the agreement which issued from them, that manager kept saying they would file it in the next day but never happen, it was waste my time to always go back and forth to get back my money, it's couple hundred dollars! End up the manager told lies to me and I never can get hold with him since he quit the job! Then I asked for the stuff who works there and knew what happen, got their district manager to settled the issues and its totally took me couple months! What a nightmare!! Needing an oil change, this Jiffy Lube seemed like a convenient location on our way home from visiting family in the suburbs. On arrival, I was happy to see we were the only car and customer -- and seeing more than 4 employees leaning on the wall and/or playing on phones as we arrived -- I was looking forward to a reasonably quick visit. Somehow, the oil change itself took over an hour. They finally pull the car out of the bay, and the entire garage is filled with white smoke ... coming out of my car exhaust. The manager runs over and says he told "the team" to fill only 4.2 quarts, and they accidentally added 6. All said and told, our normal oil change took nearly 2 hours (as the only customer). I'd recommend avoiding this location. read more
