It took three hours. I was originally just in for oil change then they proceed to take the A/C filter out in cabin and can't figure out how to put it back in then chips some of my wooden interior trim trying to get the A/C filter out with a flathead screw driver and claims he didn't do it, but I was sitting in the truck. The guy will try to upsell and then not know how to get the job done efficiently or correctly. For example both of my differential fluids were drained, my back was done, and my front was not. read more

Very fast, very cheap. Offered to replace windshield wipers for about $60 a piece - they needed it, but I knew I could replace them myself for around $10 - $25 each. Gave me good advice for how to remove tree sap that had damaged the wipers. All in all, very satisfied. read more

No stars at all for this place because I took my Subaru there for an oil change and they took out the air filter and cabin filter and brought them to me for a change which I declined then we waited for half an hour and a service man came in and told us the plug for the oil pan was damaged and they couldn't get it off and change oil. We had the oil changed only three times before at a dealer because the car was bought with only 17 miles on it and no one ever did or mentioned any problem. So they tried to open it and they damaged it at the Jiffy lube in Salt Lake City Terrible place--don't go there. I wish I could give less than a 1 star review. This branch sold me services I did not need claiming I had high mileage on my vehicle. I was charged $120 for a freaking oil change!!! And they did not lower the price even with my objections. They claimed I had 120,000 miles and needed many services. My car has 94,000 miles. Avoid this place if you can! Purposely drive out of your way to not come here! You'll thank me later. I purposely drove out of my way to come to this location because the guy on the phone told me it was a 30 minute wait. When I got there they reconfirmed with me it was a 30 minute wait, great. The lobby was packed but hey they said a 30 minute wait right? As I'm sitting there 45 minutes go by, no biggy things happen. After 1 hour of waiting, someone comes in to get me only to ask what oil I want. Huh...? I told them right when I got here what oil I wanted. But the real question is what were they doing for that 1 hour when all I came in for was the oil change, and knowing what oil I wanted when I FIRST got here. I will never come back to this location and like I said if you can avoid coming here, DO! After all was said and done my 30 minute wait I was told turned into an hour and 25 minutes. What a waste of a morning. ***Also, I came in a little over 2 weeks ago and I am just now finding out they didn't top off my windshield wash fluid because I needed to use some because the rain made my windshield dirty, even though the recipet said they topped it off. Earlier this year, I went here for an oil change right after moving to Salt Lake and I then had to pay over $300 to repair the damage that this Jiffy Lube caused. Right after they finished the oil change, I drove less than a block and then my car started making a sound like metal was bending and scraping. I was also having a hard time breaking. These are problems that I've never had before with this car. I felt scared for my safety and did not feel comfortable driving my car. I called a friend-of-a-friend who is a mechanic and he recommended that I have my car towed to another shop to get it checked out. He recommended a specific shop he trusted. After describing the problem to him, he was concerned that I would get on the highway, not be able to stop, and get into a crash. I did not take the car back to the Jiffy Lube on North Temple because I was scared they would make the problem worse. After having my car towed to another shop in Salt Lake, the mechanic there took a look at my car and said there was a specific piece that was bent. And he said this specific piece could not have been bent from just driving the car, he said it was a fragile part and would only have gotten bent if someone was working on the car and accidentally hit it. I don't remember the name of the exact piece, I would have to call the shop back. The cost to repair the piece was over $300. I've been very busy with moving to Salt Lake and starting a new job, so I was not able to follow up with the Jiffy Lube until about a month after the incident. When I went to the Jiffy Lube to make them aware of this incident and ask for a refund, I felt belittled by the manager at the shop. She said I should've called right after I noticed the problem and they couldn't help me because I didn't call right away. I tried to explain that the reason I did not call was because I was scared for my safety while driving my car because of a problem this shop caused. She also discouraged me from reporting it to the national Jiffy Lube customer service line, saying it would be a long investigation. In total: I had to pay for the oil change and I did not get a refund, I had to pay to repair the damage they caused, I had to have my car towed, and this shop's work made me feel unsafe while driving my car. read more

Easily the worst service I've had with automotive service. I wish I had not got my oil changed here and just got some extra wear on my engine. These people were THAT incompetent. I called ahead and they said there was no wait, so I headed over. When I got there 9 minutes later I was told it was up to a 45 min wait. Ok, not a huge deal. Then I get into the bay and they start getting to work. They drain my old oil, start checking the level of other fluids and such, then all the workers kind of started doing other things. I stayed in my car playing on my phone and I overheard them saying they were still waiting on a part (for my car). I go and talk to one of the guys who says they didn't have the oil filter for my car, but had ordered it. WHAT? That's fine if they didn't have the part, but they didn't tell me that, so in addition to waiting way longer than originally told, they didn't even communicate that they didn't have the basic part my car needed. But my oil was already drained, so it's not like I could leave at that point. When the part was finally delivered, it was promptly installed and oil was replaced (because that part goes super quickly) I go to check out and remind the gentleman that I had a $20 off coupon. He enters a $10 off coupon, and I'm like what? He says "my bad" but can't figure out how to change it to the right one. Manager comes and sorts it out eventually. As I'm paying he starts listing all the things they did to my car, and says they cleaned all the windows. I was sitting in the car the whole time and that didn't happen. At this point it's clear to me they're not communicating at best, and perhaps don't know what they're doing. So I go back to my car and pop the hood and find that my coolant reservoir cap is missing. I raise this point with first worker and he says "yeah I noticed that too" WHATT?? You weren't going to say anything about that and just let me drive down the road like that? At this point I'm clearly upset, and really trying to not raise my voice, but they have screwed up every step of this simple process. They call a manager over again and he shines his flashlight at the spot where my reservoir cap should be and he says "see it's dirty, you drove in like this." So it must be my fault that a cap I never removed is missing? As he continues to shine his light around, he then finds the cap sitting near the tank and replaces it. And just says "our bad" and shrugs. So as far as I could tell, all the employees, including the manager were incompetent. If I hadn't checked the caps, we would have broken down on the side of the road with an overheated engine soon. Safe to say I'm never going back to jiffy lube again, and I hope for your sake, and the sake of your car, you don't either. read more

Yep, not coming here again. I've been to this location about 1/2 a dozen times because of its location. Each time I come it gets slower and slower. This time I got my brake pads changed and they didn't even have the parts. They went down to auto zone down the street to get them. I was told 30 minutes. 2 hours later I'm still waiting. Definitely the worst oil change experience I have ever had. This crew was the most unprofessional group I have ever encountered. Jiffy lube employees have always been professional and efficient which is why I went here. Definitely will not return. I was told it would be 20 minutes and it ended up being over 1.5 hours and I had my 3 children with me. They didn't have the part needed and they needed to get it elsewhere - that was fine so I waited. The level of unprofessionalism I witnessed was shocking. There were people walking all around the shop visiting with staff and there were several people working on my car that didn't have jiffy lube attire on so I am hoping they were employees. The employees hardly acknowledged me except to tell me I needed a part. They gave the impression they didn't know what they were doing at all. I am nervous after this oil change about my vehicle as I was told the person who changed my oil never had done an Audi before. Everyone seemed kinda lost. These guys are all amazing. We went in recently for a simple oil change and it turned into a wild odyssey when it turned out our oil filter was lodged in super tight and couldn't be moved for love or money. After trying to get it out for a while, part of it sheared off in one guy's hand, leaving us unable to drive the car and facing the possibility of having to have our car towed and rent another one, right before the weekend. I know this is sounding bad, but bear with me... The staff here went all out trying to get this filter out for us. They worked for hours on getting it out, even calling in help from a sister store. When it still looked like we would have to get the car towed, they helped us out with information about a tow service. They were also kind and patient and maintained a sense of humor throughout the several hours we were there, despite the fact that the rest of their store was still buzzing with other customers. After hanging out in their waiting room for ages, we heard a cheer go up and knew that they'd finally gotten it out. In the end it turned out that the shredded hunk of junk they pulled out was the original factory filter (for a 2015 car!!), a fact I definitely did NOT know when I bought the car a few months ago, so I really, really owe these guys for not only getting the filter out but alerting me to something that probably could have caused even more problems in the long run. To top it all of, THEY gave ME a discount with apologies for how long it took. I could only apologize back for eating up a whole bay of their store for hours. Gratitude isn't even a big enough word. Brought my 2019 car in for an annual emissions test. Took 45 minutes for my car to get in (only one car in the bay when I arrived). After another hour of them running the tests the manager comes over and tells me that when they removed the air filter (to sell me on a new one) they triggered a sensor causing the check engine light to come on. Because of this they had to reset the sensors which then caused my car to "fail" the tests. After nearly two hours, I left without the needed emissions test because of their mistake. We arrived, they took our key and maybe within 10 minutes were doing the oil change. All in all, 45 minutes later, we were driving away. This location is "hit" or "miss". There'd be day's where I'm in-&-out and others where I got errands to attend to and I'm there for a preposterous amount of time. One thing I really like about Jiffy Lube in general is that they top-off the air in your tires and fluids without charge. I've had good experiences here before but today I left very angry. First off I don't understand why they quote people $25 dollars for a tire rotation then tell one person that they can get if for them for $10 and another for $15 why are they giving some people better deals than others both people had a sedan style car. Next don't check things off the list that you didn't do! For example they didn't vacuum my car but said they completed it. They also didn't reset my the digital oil life monitor on the dash. They didn't fill my tire pressure to the correct pressure thats on the sticker. I don't even know if they changed my oil or just charged my $90. Okay, so I cruised in for a simple oil change and got hit by the major up sell ... The oil jockeys employed here tried to super size me with pretty much every automotive related test, check, fluid, and filter under the sun. It was quite entertaining to see them in action, recommending everything from exotic engine sealants to transmission flushes, topping off the power steering fluid, and much, much more. "You know when your frammus interlink gets to 110,000 miles the manufacturers recommend a full replacement of the billinger arm seal, along with a complete fluid change of the sludge tank and recycling combiner. Plus, you'll love the extended mileage from the reduced friction and the lovely new car smell it gives your car! Shall I go ahead with that?" Ok guys, cool it on the high pressure sales. You're killin' me here. All I want is an oil change. Still, I have to admit that they got pretty darned lucky when they peeked under the hood and lo and behold discovered that my serpentine belt was all crackled and worn (and yes indeed, it really was). I was preparing to travel halfway across America, so it was a good save. The mechanic must have been chuckling to himself with great glee on that one! All in all, my "oil change" ballooned up close to $100 and turned out to be more of a last minute car repair session than simple fluid maintenance. I just returned from Jiffy Lube, at 757 W. North Temple. I needed emissions and inspection. I arrived at 9:10 AM hoping that I would be first in line, but there was one vehicle ahead of me. The employee said she was getting her oil changed, then they would do her inspection. I asked why my car couldn't be pulled into the inspection bay while the first customer was getting her oil changed. He said they didn't have enough employees to do both. I took a walk and made some phone calls. When I arrived back 40 min later, the first customer's car was just leaving the inspection bay. My car was next. I went to the waiting lounge and waited another 40 minutes. I never heard from any employees. When I got up to check on my car, I couldn't believe it but my car was still in the lot, and hadn't even been pulled into the bay, yet alone the inspection started. I was fuming mad, and when I went to talk to someone I heard the manager apologizing to another customer about being short handed. I wanted to ask the manager when I could expect my car to be inspected, but he wouldn't even make eye contact with me, and just hurried to the next car and started working on it. I think it was just him and another guy working there. I got in my unattended car, luckily it hadn't been stolen, the keys were in the ignition, and I drove home. This is a horrible way to run a business. I've had all three of my passenger vehicle in for oil changes this year, but I'm never coming back. I've had problems at this location before, but keep coming back because it's close to my house. From now on, it's the dealership for me, even if it costs more. read more

I was quoted at taking about 30 mins ago. That was an hour ago. I'm still not in the bey yet. They have made me move my car multiple times to let other vehicles in front of me. Seems like they are very inefficient at figuring out where to put people. They've also moved some cars in front of me, so that other people who got here after me can get into the bey before me. I'm only here for an oil change. I would say this is more of an iffy Lube than a Jiffy Lube. My recommendation would be to take the extra 20 mins and drive to a different Jiffy Lube. Easiest vehicle inspection ever! Had an excellent experience here and was in and out in about ten minutes. I was required by Uber to have a vehicle inspection and will spare you my excoriation of Uber and how incredibly impersonal and complicated their sign up process is.... For Jiffy Lube, I have to give a top rating. Friendly, professional, and quick. I'd bring my car here for an oil change for sure. They seem to know their stuff and treated me respectfully and professionally. This location is very close to home, so that's a bonus for me. Great customer service! I pass by two Jiffy Lubes to get to this place. They are quick and they make you feel at home. While you wait, you can make yourself coffee and watch telly or read magazines. Almost all places offer this but what is so five star about this place? The customer service! As soon as I pull up, one of the workers come up to the car and actually open the door ( I feel like royalty at least once every three months). Then they escort me to the waiting room, there is no red velvet path, but hey, they open the door again. They tell you about the coffee and tea. Then they leave you alone. They open the car's door again when you are leaving. A rare luxury! Unlike other Jiffys, they do vacuum your car properly, and clean your front and rear windows. Yes, they do recommend things that you do not need all the time. Stick to what you want, if you say yes to all of their suggestion, you might end of paying three figures here. Its wiser to do that with your dealership rather than with Jiffy. I know a lot of people hate this part. Before you go there, make sure you go online and get coupons. It ensures that you have the cheapest oil change price in town. They have great deals as well, like every third oil change is on them etc etc. Well if you want to have a short-lived royalty status, this Jiffy is for you! Best customer service, and smiling happy employees. I have had terrible experiences at other Jiffy Lube. Going to your dealership or your regular maintenance place is great, but can be cheaper sometimes. Jiffy is a great alternative. I changed my oil yesterday for $25 bucks (saved about$12). Had to get my safety and emissions inspections done this month. Normally I go to the Jiffy Lube on 700 East and 400 South, but my dad recommended driving a little extra to the West Side (Cookie Kwan?) JL. Totally worth it. The staff was friendlier, the waiting room was cleaner, and most importantly the wait itself was shorter. During my inspection, the mechanic pulled my rear wheels to inspect my brake pads. He came in to show me with the gauges (credibility) how I was close to the Subaru's recommended minimum pad thickness, and gave me the option to have them done there or go "somewhere else if I already have a guy, but don't wait too long." Most other Jiffy Lube locations are constantly trying to get you with the upsell, usually something about your cabin air filter, canooter valve or blinker fluid being seized. It was nice to have a guy just say it's probably time to replace this part that wears out, but I'll leave it to your discretion. Not sure how these guys can ask $65 for 4 quarts of blend oil, thus preventing a 5 star rating for what might be termed a fast-food garage chain. Anything more serious than oil changes and inspection, I'm going somewhere else. But as corporate "garages" go, the North Temple Jiffy Lube treated me pretty well yesterday. read more

TLDR: jiffy lube tried to trick me into buying new tires by telling me they were worn leaking air when actually THEY were the ones who let the air out of my tires. Details: I went to get my tires checked out because I suspected a slow leak in my back right. While I received quick service, I was not treated with honesty. I checked my tire pressure for all of my tires before I left my home and the lowest was at 33 (recommended is 35) and drove less than a mile to this location. The Jiffy Lube employee told me there were no punctures but that I had a leak in my tires because I needed new ones and that my treads were way too low. They gave me quotes for four new tires. I was very surprised to hear this. I simply asked them that they fill up my tires and left with the quote. Then I went to an actual tire shop to ask a second opinion, they told me I definitely didn't need new tires right now but may want to get them looked at again before it snows to have them checked again IF I take any extremely long trips or drove very often for long distances. But as of now they looked good. With the tire fill again at this jiffy lube, the light should definitely have turned off. I went home and checked my tire pressure again a few hours later because my tire pressure light was still on. ALL of time tires were low, with the lowest at 26 PSI. I bought an air compressor and filled my tires the very next morning. It has been over a week since I filled them last and my tire light still hasn't come back on. So.. Obviously, there is NO way my tires leaked from 33 PSI to 26 PSI in a matter of hours. They let the air OUT OF my tires AND THEN tried to trick me when lied to me about needing new ones!! I am so furious and will never go to this or any other Jiffy Lube again. read more

Honestly felt like they spend more time upselling than doing their job. A full-synthetic oil change COMES with vacuuming floors, so says on their website and groupon offers! I showed a $20 off coupon to the fellow who helped me, he said yes, we will accept it. Of course at checkout it's invalid and they won't accept it. And my floors weren't vacuumed at all! And they left dry erase marker throughout my windshield. Not happy with this visit when I spent $116. read more

These guys were awesome! Gavin and Matt really took care of me. I had asked for an oil change and fuel system cleaning because my car was starting to act a little funny. After completing the oil change they realized that the problem needed deeper investigation, so instead of just continuing on anyway with a process they new wouldn't help, they waited for me to come back just to ask if I wanted them to complete my order. They recommended a great mechanic shop to take my car to and even called them right there in front of me to explain what the problem might be! Everything turned out great, and I could have spent a whole lot more money, time and frustration to get it all done myself. I will absolutely be coming back, thanks guys! read more
