My husband went in for an old change. He used to be a diesel mechanic. The service person brought in someone else's oil cap telling him there was water in the engine. My husband instantly recognized there was proof that there was water in someone's engine but was not even his oil cap so it clearly wasn't his engine. This makes the value for the oil change rotten because they were trying to fraudulently get him pay for a service didn't need. read more

I went in to get my tires checked because the light came on and they told me it was my tire pressure being faulty (Mind you I went in twice because the light kept coming back on after I would fill the tires with air) so I went to a different shop and it was actually a nail in my tire!!! This review is about a year and a half after I got service. After being upsold on a bunch of things, the mechanic didn't fully screw in the plastic cosmetic plate on the bottom of the car. So shortly after the appointment guess what happened? It got caught on a piece of ice when I was reversing out of a driveway and ripped halfway off, and I was stuck partway into a busy street. My bumper was pulled partway off as well. Fortunately for me, there's a lot of great people in the world, and multiple folks stopped with tools and got under my car and helped me. The plate was so damaged I threw it away. Bumper went back on just fine. Tip: Don't let these companies sell you on crap you don't need! Mechanics are often salesmen who work on commission and are incentivized to sell you stuff you don't need yet or don't need at all. * Check your car manual and see if it lines up with what they are saying. * read more

After sitting in the hot car for 15 minutes with no one ever saying a word to me, I left my car and sat down. 25 minutes later they pull my car in and stand around talking on the phone. Open the hood and start to work. Maybe they should ask what service I need read more

I was blown away by the customer service at this jiffy lube location!! I went there and they told me there could be a wait of maybe 45 min it actually took under 25 min. I appreciated the over estimation cause no one wants to wait an hour when they were told 30 min. I think I spoke with a nice gentleman named Danny. I felt welcomed and got all my auto needs taken care of and was suggested a few things to keep in mind to update for my vehicle soon. I got real honest opinions from professionals and I felt like I could really trust these guys. They care about people and aren't just trying to get you in and out bc they don't want to deal with you. But they are quick! They were informed on oil types and had good suggestions for me. This is now "My car place". They took excellent care of me. I had a great experience all around. Horrible! So rude! Didn't even have my vehicle worked on. Just came in to pay for my registration sticker and one employee tells me just go up front and pay and when I was sent to the lobby. Waited about 6 or so minutes before asking why I needed to wait because I was confused. A different guy, Danny, very rudely said it is first come first serve. I didn't understand why I needed to wait for the pile up of cars to be finished if mine wasn't being worked on and he was not working on any vehicle when I asked. . . . Blown away by how rude he was. Danny has the worst customer services manners! Won't be returning. Not impressed, I'm human and don't need to be spoken to that way. read more

They are no longer "jiffy." Took over and hour for an oil change with only one or two cars in the bay.

I had my oil changed on 11/2/2018. I had the following problems: Two times I made it very clear I did not want the cabin filter removed because my husband had just changed it. Also, every time it has been taken out by a Jiffy Lube employee they do not get it in properly and the glove box is out of alignment. They still removed it and the glove box would not open. There is also a scratch on the glove box that was not there before. When I got home, my husband opened the hood to inspect the battery and the air filter cover was not even attached and was just sitting in the engine area. This is unacceptable. I will never go to another Jiffy Lube and especially the location at 9045 South 255 West, Sandy, Utah. read more

i had been here before, and I showed up 30 minutes before closing with plenty of workers wandering around that could have helped me. Then they told me they were taking no more cars, and if they stop taking cars at 5:00 PM then they should change their time to 5:00 PM and not 5:30 PM. I was very disappointed with their efforts to serve their customers. read more

Everyone online it shows it closes at 7:00pm. Multiple places, yelp, go and their website. I got here at 6:45, and there is another car in the bay. The guy walks out and says they close at 6:30. Fix your times online. People plan their time around accurate closing times. I wont be wasting my time with this jiffy lube. read more

Service was friendly. This was supposed to be a 20 minute oil change which took about an hour. I was never told what the price would be but when I got the final bill it was $110 minus a $10 coupon. That is outrageous for a simple oil change. As I said the big beef was I was not told what the price would be before hand. read more

This Jiffy Lube is as bad as they come. My husband made the mistake of coming here twice and both times they took a ridiculous long time to not even do anything more than an oil change. The first time it took 3 hours to only do an oil change because they were supposed to do a transmission service but they couldn't figure out how to do it. They literally were watching YouTube to figure it out. The next time it took them an hour to come to the conclusion that they couldn't do a tire rotation and brake fluid change. I'm convinced that the employees at this location have less knowledge on servicing cars than other locations. Did I mention that there wasn't a line or a wait to begin with? Forget the convenient location, and drive to a different shop. read more

I used to love it when the last manager was here. Service has gone downhill fast since he left. He is now in Midvale or Murray. This location doesnt know who you are anymore as a regular.. does not offer kind discounts to those of us who had been there for so long. They lost me in their computer. Andbhave really long wait time at times and tried to undersell you on times to get you to stay. I won't be going back there was an assistant manage there that was good.. he must be gone now...cant blame him, they staff are now low quality. read more

I asked for a print out of what they had done to my car last year. They said, "sure". What was required? Push a button, hand me the paper. They proceeded to ignore me until I gave up and left. read more

Came in for an oil change, not at a busy time of day. Currently the only customer here. An hour and a half after coming in, I'm still waiting to leave. I was bombarded with overpriced up sells, and after declining most of them, was given counter offers with lower pricing if I would accept. I agreed to a fuel system clean, and at the end of the service my fuel light was on and the gas tank showed empty. I came in with half a tank (6-7 gallons). They tore my car apart to figure out what they did and said they were "dumbfounded," and are currently driving around the parking lot trying to figure out what the hell they did wrong. I just came here for an oil change, and who knows how well that was done. Skip this place. read more

Slowest oil change ever. Only one car ahead of us, three bays, took an hour and a half. We had 1.5 hours until our movie at a theater 3 minutes away and we missed it. They also tried to upsell and scare us on everything. Even lied to us: told us our transmission fluid was black & burnt even though we'd just changed it 10K miles earlier; we were skeptical so we didn't change it then; the next day we took our car to a mechanic we trust, he showed it to us, the fluid was red-brown and just fine. Even after our car was done, the manager was on the phone but only he could check us out, so we had to wait 15 minutes to pay and leave. Terrible! read more

Wife took our car in for an oil change and a state inspection. The guy tried to tell her that we needed new windshield wipers when ours were perfectly fine. He also said the radiator cap wasn't holding pressure and asked if we wanted to buy a new one. After telling my wife that it won't pass inspection because of the wipers she said "I'll just go buy them and install them myself". When it was all done and she paid the guy said "oh well I guess they passed you on your inspection..." She tested the wipers and they were fine. The guy was just trying to make a sale through a lie. I'm a girl in her 20s, I don't know anything about cars, the Jiffy Lube by my old apartment was very cool about not ripping me off and being honest...this new place was a very different story. I came in for an oil change, and left 1 1/2 hours and $350 later for "maintenance" that I was told was necessary (it's a new car and I'm bad at confrontation/telling people no). They also wanted me to pay cash for a windshield chip and were bullying me about it (the insurance adjuster just left my house, there isn't a chip even worth fixing!) On top of all that, 5 minutes after I drove away, ALL of the service lights came on (power steering, transmission, etc). I had to drive back to Jiffy Lube and wait for another 20 minutes while they tried to figure out what they'd done wrong. I guess that part of my problem is that I'm gullible, but this place was very shady and I won't be coming back. read more

I came in for my Safety & Emissions today. I knew that my brakes were at their limit and needed to be replaced soon. Turns out that was today... It's currently 4:15 PM, and I've been up since 3 A for work. The regional manager took over the job and got it all done in under 45 minutes. Minor detail, but it made my day! Arrived at 4pm on Sunday afternoon. One other customer was almost ready to leave when I got there. I just needed me emission test done. Jake verified I didn't need the safety test and asked if I wanted an oil change too. I said no thanks and that was it! Used my coupon from jiffylubeutah.com with no issues. The tech did a minimal inspection on my car and let me know my windshield wipers were torn but they don't sell that kind so he suggested an auto parts store. He even showed me on the wipers where the tears are. Again, service but not pressure. I could have gotten the emissions test done cheaper using a groupon in West Valley but not on a Sunday. I've been to this Jiffy Lube several times over the last few years. I've always gotten good service and never had any issues. read more

I have gone to several different oil change places expecting the typical service and atmosphere of a oil change business (dirty lounge and unprofessional employees without friendly service and pressured upsell's) so I was delighted and presently surprised at this location, every time I have been here the staff is very friendly and the location is always well kept! Everyone seems knowledgeable and friendly and I am able to get in and out quickly. Highly recommend. read more

I always receive excellent service at this location! Mark treats you like family and makes sure you are well taken care of. I drive 100 miles at least 5 days a week and come in every 3k miles and have yet to have a bad experience here. I went in for an oil change and walked out paying $220.00 for services I did not need. I stated several times I do not need these services and they made me feel pressured and bullied to get the services. The guy made me feel uncomfortable while looking at me inappropriately several times. I paid for the services and it was a lesson learned. I will NEVER use jiffy lube again.
