I was on vacation, about to drive back home to Orange County, when my tire pressure light came on at 5pm on Sunday. I searched everywhere in Santa Barbara for someplace that was open, and it showed online that this place was open til 6. When I arrived, it looked closed and I was sooo sad. But I called out to see if anyone was around and the kindest man named Sammy popped his head out of the office. He informed me that they were closed at 5, and it was around 515 at that time. I explained our situation and he was incredible. He offered so generously to look at my tires and fill my tires with air and even looked in my engine quickly. He absolutely didn't need to help us, but his kindness made such a huge impact on my family to allow us to make the long drive home without worrying. Amazing customer service!!! read more

I posted a review last month and gave this Jiffy Lube a 3 star. I went in for a signature oil change and part of the components to the oil change were missing. I came back in today (one month later) to get a top off and I was told there was no oil in my car. Julio was the one who helped me with my top off. He was patient with me and answered all of my questions. He was also very knowledgeable about the situation I was in. He served me with a smile and made sure all of my concerns and questions were answered. Had a great experience at the new Jiffy Lube on Carrillo. I was sad when the JL at the corner of De La Vina and Carrillo closed. However, they seemed to have replicated themselves right down the street. As before, everyone was very polite, the service was efficient, and they perform nice little extras like vacuuming your front floor mats. First visit to SB location Long time customer of Goleta location as its close to work but the last two visits, stuff was broken (snapped vacuum line caused a Check Engine light and broken dip stick pull neither of which was brought to my attention and "not our fault". Have a Yelp coupon for 50% off Signature Service and with my synthetic upgrade took about $20 off. Weekend morning with a full house. 30-45 minute wait before starting was quoted. 10:15 arrival and the car in the bay at 10:45. They were on it. Free drip coffee and a Keurig machine with coco, tea and French roast while you wait. 11:30 and I pull out. Not too bad. The guys seem honest. I've worked on cars (not professionally) all my life and I agree with their service suggestions. All and all it was a good visit with one exception, attention to detail. Went in for an oil change on a Diesel truck yesterday, the mechanics didn't seem to know how to do it. Could not change my filter. Not happy

I love coming to this Jiffy Lube! I never have to wait longer then 30 minutes for my oil change every time. Someone always greets me every time I pull up and everyone who has helped me has been very nice. I have used both Yelp Deals and Groupons to get my oil changes here which they have taken every time. They also always tell me if something is low and are honest with me regarding prices along with servicing. Everytime I'm headed out of town, I come by here to have them top off my oil and check my tire pressure for me. They do it for free and usually are able to complete these two things within 15 minutes or less! Great service, prices, and people! read more

Two words: Up Sell. Wanted my oil changed but I have a particular brand of oil and filter that I want to use. I called minutes before my family brought the car and explained that my family member was coming with the oil and filter I wanted to use. Update: The owner of this franchise, Mr. Porcher, reached out to me and sincerely apologized that he could not offer me a better price. As it turns out, he has no choice but to use Pennzoil products, and the only product they make in the viscosity my car requires is a "Platinum Grade" oil that is extremely expensive. He is in the process of trying to find other oil options in that weight so he can offer a competitive price. He was very sincere in his apologies and he did what he could to right the situation. Mr. Porcher really went out of his way to explain the situation and to do what he could to earn my business. I appreciate his sincerity and desire to make things right. Original Review: If you can avoid going here, do so. They overcharge for sub-par service. I have a 2013 vehicle that Jiffy Lube says requires a "special oil" that is premium. It's an extra $50.00 in addition to a $50.00 oil change. $100?! That is insane. And they don't stock anything less expensive for the viscosity my new car requires. To put it in perspective: That is 3X the price of a similar service at the actual dealership. The only difference being that the dealership gives a more complete service. My car was already being worked on or else I would have left once I saw the price. Don't get overcharged. Go somewhere else. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube for a simple oil change; my car is a 2004 VW Golf with very low mileage. I leave it in Santa Barbara during the summer so I try to do routine maintenance every spring or winter. I had to wait an hour but that was ok. The price seemed pretty high and the clerk said - it's a European car, man, it needs expensive European oil! which was so stupid that I couldn't help but laugh. But the laugh was on me because two months later my car began leaking oil. I took it to my mechanic; a hundred bucks later. They had not tightened the oil filter correctly and used a 'cheap' plug which started leaking. NEVER again, Jiffy Lube. read more

One of the worst car shop experiences I've had! DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!! So first things first, I don't usually give one or two star reviews because I believe everyone is entitled to at least one bad day at work regardless of the reason and they could just be having a bad day in general, hence the BAD attitude. I have come here to inspect my car for Uber three times and the guy with the beard on the front desk (manager I suppose) never fails a bad attitude approach. I don't know what the deal with him is (seems personal) but I don't go to car shops to deal with people with bad attitude and when I ask questions about where my money is going I expect a response with good attitude and patience, two things this man lacks. When I asked my friends about their experience with this local car shop I received an expected response, DO NOT GO THERE. I should've listened and stopped going but wanted to save gas (this place being the closest to my house). Now that I experienced it first hand, I am ready to drive more than triple the distance to deal with mannered employees. Never coming back here again! read more

The guys here were so quick and helpful (I was out in under 20 minutes). Anywhere else will charge $120 for a synthetic oil change on a European car, so I wasn't surprised by the price - they got it done a lot faster than dropping it off at a local auto shop. Go early! read more

The cashier was nice so points to her for good customer service. And she didn't try to sell me any additional services that I know I don't need (we all know how that can go sometimes...) HOWEVER with my oil change, I was supposed to receive a couple of other extra services, like brake fluid check, washed windows, refilled windshield washer fluid, and vacuumed car seats and floors. It wasn't until after I left that I discovered that they'd neglected to vacuum the entire back half of my car (I didn't even have anything in the back, except for a blanket that could've easily been moved). I called Jiffy Lube to ask about this because I was upset that I'd paid $100+ but all the person on the phone said was that they're not allowed to move items (really?! It was just a blanket, not confidential documents) and that the money I was paying was just for the oil change, not for the extras, so nothing could be done. I actually did move my stuff, except for that blanket. I almost feel like it was an excuse to not finish the job thoroughly. I think it would've been great if at the start, customer service had reminded me to move personal belongings out of my car the second I handed them my keys. Their motto is "Good is not good enough, we must be great" but my experience unfortunately fell short of great. read more

Not quite "jiffy". I've been here several times, and the only reason to ever go to a Jiffy Lube is for a quick in and out process. They are overpriced I general. Went to drop off car and had an appointment to get to, and was told it takes 15 minutes just to check the car in. I have left my car here several times before and taken less than 5 minutes to check in. I have a company car, and Jiffy Lube is supposed to report the service to our maintenance contractor for records. Last time I brought the car in, Jiffy Lube never reported the oil change, and I was subsequently contacted every week with a reminder that my car needs an oil change. Get it together Jiffy Lube, or change your name to Slowish, Poor Quality Lube. read more

SCAM If I could give zero stars I would. Most expensive oil change I have ever received even with the 10% off they gave me since they refused to honor the coupon I had. Go to competitors and you will easily pay at least $30 dollars less. Valvoline, Firestone, etc all always have coupons which they honor and are MUCH cheaper. After delaying my oil change due to less than ideal reviews at other oil changes in town, I decided to just go in and get it over with. I went in and told them I needed an oil change and said I wanted conventional oil (ideally 0w30). The guy told me he was unable to do an conventional oil change, they only do synthetic. I told him I didn't want synthetic since it costs more (he quoted a full oil change for my car to be $140, RIDICULOUS). He belittled me and told me I didn't understand the kind of oil my car required and using conventional (even though this is what's in my car currently and have been using forever) would be detrimental to the health of my engine. He continued to push the synthetic refusing to listen to what I wanted, so I just left. Unbelievably rude, condescending, and inexcusable customer service. Never again. read more

Easiest, quickest, most enjoyable oil change I've ever experienced! In and out in 30 min and they were juggling several other customers. Damien is the new manager and he really seems to strive for making your experience the best possible. Used their Yelp deal and paid $60 instead of $92:) Also used their Yelp Check in offer and got a new air filter and boy did I need it! Damien showed me the old one. It was nasty. Their oil change service includes checking and topping off your liquids, checking your tires and adding air if need be, vacuuming your floors, and cleaning your windows. Awesome. Thanks guys. Recently I heard that "the lube" as it's known to those who know what you don't need to know call it--was going out of business. Was I shocked? Sure. American loves crap. But what they really love is overpriced mediocrity, from houses, to movies, to women, to books, really large hunks of "average" get them off. Why? I don't want to know. As for "the lube" I went here once and paid, smiled. Everything was copasetic. So....a block from the store. BAM Sounded like a shotgun went off. And like a pilot I looking for a place to land, drifting...vitals flashing, oil pressure dropping...............I cruised into my driveway. Ahh just before I went down for good... 10 seconds later....and my car would have been a goner. Morons didn't tighten the oil filter. That's KINDA IMPORTANT. Anyway, I'm not saying don't go here. But if you don't want your engine to melt down due to a lack of oil that was drained out because of an oil filter not being put on correctly than you may want to go somewhere else. Maybe. Gave attendant info that my car had just been washed and vacced and to please not do those services, just check the tire pressure and do the oil change. This is a facility that doesn't let you stay in your car. I went to see if they were done and the gal was squirting my windows... Have taken my car here twice. First time went well enough. Today, they tell me it will take 25 minutes and 1 hour and 45 minutes later they tell me they can't get the drain plug off. They never update me on the status the whole time and they were the one that did the previous oil change. Not only did they waste my time, they may have damaged the oil pan and drain plug on top of it. DO NOT USE THEM!! Take to a far more qualified oil change facility. read more

Kind customer service, thorough inspection of my car, and interior cleaning of my car all under 30 minutes. The reps explained clearly to me what they were going to inspect and they gave me documents at the end of my visit with a checked off list and diagram representing my vehicle. The total package was around $90 for Pennzoil (which is premium synthetic oil and the recommended one by Honda for my 2014 Civic). I purchased the $60 for $100 deal through Yelp, and received cash back at the station. I thought this was pretty nice. I am not sure how Jiffy Lube compares to other oil change stations pricewise, but everything was smooth during my visit and I would not be afraid to go here again. read more

These guys are so awesome! I have two high performance cars, one is heavily modified.. I have been to many oil change places over the years and know when I'm at a good one. The people here care so much about what they do. Never in my life have I had an oil change place reset my car's oil life meter but they did! Just the icing on the cake after having them take the care to ask me what tire pressure I want (I have race tires that run lower pressure), what I wanted then to touch and what I didn't want them to get into. They even had me drive my car in and out of the bay. The team here really cares about giving each car the service they need. Thanks everyone for providing such quality service!
