The young woman spoke to me about getting a better service deal and was very thorough on what it came with and other services, if I wanted them. I was very appreciative that they cleaned the windows and dashboard of my dirty car (I was embarrassed to take it in that way but my car needed it). They gave me time to look for an online coupon and when I could find one they were kind enough to offer a small but valid coupon. The thing I try to keep in mind is that these are people just like us and some days may be hard and busy, and other days very easy and slow. SCAM! At this location they add expensive, unnecessary additional services to basic oil changes without telling you! My initial estimate for a basic oil change was $140. I asked about two additional services on my bill totaling $45 and asked for them to be removed. After the oil change was complete, they said they could not remove the services from the final bill but they would give me $20 off. It took at least 10 minutes of reviewing the estimate and talking with the cashier to get the full amount removed from the bill. No one should patronize this shop. read more

They checked my car in then 30 minutes later informed me that they did not have the oil filter in stock. They said I could go to an auto parts store and buy one and they would discount that from the bill. I specifically asked the manager if I would get priority in line when I returned. She confirmed I would. When I returned with the part the same manager said she would not give me priority in line and "you will have to wait like everyone else". On the way, the car started giving me engine oil level low warning while it's 2K miles from next service. Brought it to this store and they top it off in minutes. I came in last minute one day after work needing an oil change and the staff was very nice about it. Every time I visit this location everyone is always helpful, they explained the type of oil I currently had and the type they were going to change the oil with. Being a woman getting car service done isn't always easy and sometimes it can be confusing but they made sure I understood exactly what was going on. I definitely recommend this location, they even cleaned my windows and vacuumed the floors which were services I didn't get at the last jiffy lube I went to. They are fast, honest about the wait, and I especially appreciate that I can come in halfway through for top offs of my cars fluid. My car had oily hand prints all over driver and passenger doors, inside and out, trunk lid and hood. Oily footprints on the door jam on the driver side. Came in for an oil change because I figured it would be quick and easy, while also being affordable. They offered all sorts of things to up-sell, and I agreed to have them replace my air filter since I was unsure of when the last time it was done. Well, while driving home on the freeway my car began to quickly decelerate and when stopped, the engine would not turn back on. Long story short, my car had to be towed to a nearby auto repair shop where they found mechanical tape around my air hose. There was no coincidence that this happened after leaving Jiffy Lube, who replaced my air filter. In the end, they payed for all repairs/tow and the general manager was very apologetic and sincere. Moral of the story: pay the extra $20 to get your oil changed at a more reliable auto shop with mechanics who are properly trained! Definitely earned my lesson on that one. read more

I brought my car in about a month ago. Before taking it to toyota, i came here. I told them that my battery light was on and i didn't know what was going on with my car. The gentleman helping me said they had a machine that can test how much life is left in my battery. They said my battery percentage was low so i bought a new battery. A few days later my car breaks down and i take it to toyota turns out is was my alternator. Anyway, I take a different car today because the same thing was happening. I tell them that i was here a month ago and if they could check the battery and alternator life since last time they only did one and it was a wrong answer. the kid said let me ask my manager. he said he didn't have something to see the life of the alternator i then asked if they could check the battery life since they did it last time. the kid once again said let me ask my manager. i overheard the manager say i already said no and the kid responded with she asked again. then the manager saying say no. I love this Jiffy Lube, they have been servicing my car for 10+ years. I should have written a review sooner. Last time I went in for service JoJo their assistant manager really made the experience delightful for me, he is extremely knowledgeable and got straight to the point (didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need). I know absolutely zero about cars and he took the time out to educate me, I was really impressed. They tried to upsell me with wiper blades, filters, tire rotation etc. After saying no to everything other than the oil change they said: " We don't honor Groupons!" I paid $100 for a high mileage oil change, as well as a check up on fluids (a supposed guarantee) and tire rotation. I had previously been in for service, so I was hoping things were fine. I went for a road trip the following weekend and my check engine light came on. I went to another location (Ventura) and not only did they fully service my transmission as I asked, but they informed me that I had next to no brake fluid. When I asked about the weeks previous service, I was informed that I definitely should have been made aware of the condition of the dirty, near empty, brake fluid and that it was unsafe to be driving in that condition. When I mentioned hills and camping, he said it was definitely dangerous. Considering neither my tires, brake pads, nor rotors needed to be replaced, the brake fluid was a singular problem and should have been addressed in the oil change and "top off service" they claim to offer. I am sorely disappointed in that experience, considering that I paid the amount due for my engine to be checked. I won't be returning nor would I recommend them. read more

After writing a two star review and expressing my dissatisfaction with the business the manager gave me a call and expressed his apology for the not so great oil change I experienced while visiting. And that was just us waiting around, watching the car not even get moved, not even talked to by the employees, watching the employees kinda wander around and talk to each other, watching my friend's car get moved out of the way for someone who pulled up after, watching the employees stop everything to inflate a cute girl's tire (I'm comfortable with myself, she was a cute girl). Finally, my friend goes over to ask what's going on. The response, "well, we're busy right now." Uh huh. Jiffy Lube is always busy, I always end up there on my way home from work at 5pm (other locations, of course), but I've never had to wait forty minutes for an oil change before! I am back home visiting and came here before heading to my new home in the Bay Area to get an oil change, just a standard oil change, I was quoted 65$ base price Seriously! I live in The Bay Area one of the most expensive to live and pay around 34$ with my 10$ off coupon I get in my email. How the hell do you justify charging people that much? I went to jiffy lube last weekend for an oil change. While I was waiting, they kept trying to sell me things, which I understand is part of the job. I do not know much about cars, so when they showed me my two dirty filters, I said yes for them to change it. The final bill was $193. They took less than 20 minutes to change everything, odd to me, because I usually spend more time there. When I looked at the final bill, they mentioned checking many things on my car. Although I believe they did not test those things. They said the coolant level, the rear lights, air filter, ect., were all "checked and ok." I know there was too much coolant (because I put too much), I know my rear light does not work, and then they said the filter is "checked and ok" but still made me replaced it?! Again, odd! The price overall seemed expensive, especially for the filter replacement. Lastly, there was no windows cleaning (like said in the bill), nor added windshield washer fluid... During my time waiting I listened to the woman working attempt to add and up charge unnecessary items to increase the sale. I was under the impression that Jiffy Lube was a fast service, but you can expect up to at least an hour for just an oil change. Each to.e better than the last. And very affordable! (Even with a discount at sears) and the take coupons from retail me not which makes even better! I find it ridiculous that an oil change would cost $120. What I find more ridiculous is that my oxygen sensor conveniently stopped working the moment I turned my car on to leave the shop. 1. Under-staffed. With barely any cars there, the wait time was 45 minutes. 2. The woman working there tried to insist on the next oil change reminder light being set to 3000 miles "to help me out." I had to insist 3 times before she changed it back to 5000. If she kept it up I'd have to take my car and leave.
