STAY AWAY FROM THIS JIFFY LUBE -- THEY DESTROYED MY ENGINE AND TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY. I took my 2017 Ford Escape--my reliable, well-maintained vehicle with ZERO prior issues--to Jiffy Lube on December 19, 2024, for a simple oil change. That was the beginning of a nightmare. Three days later, on December 22, after driving only 37 miles, my car suddenly lost power on the highway and began spewing blue-gray smoke. I was forced to pull over and have it towed to Dobbs Tire and Auto Center. What Dobbs found was shocking: the engine was coated in black, dirty oil, and they drained over 6 quarts--despite my vehicle only holding 4.3 quarts total. The dipstick showed oil filled over an inch above the full line. The mechanic explained that the excessive oil fouled the spark plugs, destroyed the catalytic converters, and permanently ruined the engine. Even after replacing plugs and trying to clean it up, the car died again on a test drive. Diagnosis: engine completely destroyed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I immediately brought this to Jiffy Lube's attention. Their response? Blame everyone but themselves. They claimed they only put in the right amount of oil and pointed fingers at Dobbs--without ever speaking to the mechanic or inspecting the damage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just outright denial, despite the clear timeline and mechanical evidence. Let's be real: my car worked perfectly before Jiffy Lube touched it. It died 37 miles later, drowned in oil. And now I'm left with a dead engine and thousands in losses. I came in with a fleet vehicle , I received quick and professional service that was completed before the approval came through which was denied by the fleet owner because they have a preferred vender . I was unaware and manager JP was understanding and let me go without charging me for a company vehicle. I went in for a oil change. Sat there for 15 minutes thinking they're doing what they're supposed to be doing. After I'd been there they advised me they don't have my oil I have to wait another 15 minutes for them to get my oil. Went in for an oil change and an ac recharge. The oil change went fine, but I he tech told me that he did not know how to do an AC recharge, but that his manager would be in later that day after 3:00 p.m. if I came back they said they could recharge my AC then. I came back around 4:00 p.m. that day the person at the store told me it would take just a little while but he would get it done. After waiting over 45 minutes he came back to me and told me he couldn't work the machine. Just plain unacceptable. read more

Usually when an establishment gets it right, they officially get pinned to my "Ana's Go-To's" list. This particular location just does it for me. If you're like me, automotive costs are NOT the tea. I hate it. I hate car maintenance, purchasing a car, etc. Yall, it's just not for me. So, when I have to put my big girl panties on and do this adulting thing, I stick with what works. The guys at this Watson location are awesome. They're efficient, friendly and direct. My disdain for car maintenance doesn't blind my judgement, though. My mother taught me a lot about cars, so even though I get bothered by it, I'm able to talk shop and assure them what I'm here for. I have no problem with saying "no" and telling them what I want -- and they listen. The guys do try to get you to make other changes for your car, lol. Wipers, fluid, filters, they are on it. But, that's their job. I'm usually just here for the standard oil change needs. If your ever in the area, bring your vehicle in for some city limit lovin'. read more

Wow. I was not expecting this level of courtesy and service from a Jiffy Lube, even after reading all of the Yelp reviews. They genuinely appreciate their customers here and give them the royal treatment! The employees were so friendly, and I was greeted enthusiastically right away with one of the brightest smiles I've ever seen (a welcome sight on a cold, rainy winter day). My car was in and out in almost no time at all since it wasn't a busy day. They do offer upgrades to services here, but they were not pushy at all (something I am always afraid of whenever I go to get an oil change), and some of the prices were actually quite reasonable. I did not feel any pressure to opt for any of the add-ons. I will be recommending this location to any of my friends needing an oil change. read more

My closest location was the one on Laclede Station Rd, and they had told me they were closing permanently and referred me to this location on Watson - even called them to give them a heads-up. The techs here were #1 on customer service. Very friendly, made me very welcomed and treated me like royalty. They happened to notice an issue with one of my tires - even though I don't think that's part of what they're required to - and showed it to me and gave me a recommendation. In addition, they were done with the oil change super-fast, so I guess they lived up to their name. I will definitely keep coming back to this location even though there are oil change places closer to where I live. Quick, friendly service. The technician I spoke with (Richard) came across as genuine and honest. They also allowed me to bring my dog inside while I waited. The waiting area is pretty bland, but no different than any other auto service shop. Jiffy Lube offers discounts on their website, so be sure to check your location's discount offers before paying! Also, they offer customers to return anytime before their next oil change is due for free services (putting air in tires, etc.) The price of the oil change seemed high, but I don't know enough about oil change prices to say for certain. Being able to return for some of the maintenance services may offset the high cost of the oil change. If I couldn't find a less expensive option, I would certainly return and recommend. read more

I was treated with the utmost respect and honesty. The job was done very quickly. They did not pressure me to buy anything I did not need, which I have had happened at other Jiffy Lubes. The man that checked me out was also incredibly professional. I will definitely come back here even though the prices are higher than local mechanics because the service was so good. I used to have to practice my don't F with me face before I headed over to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. It's worth getting in and out quickly without needing an appointment, but they always tried to scare you in to thinking you needed all kinds of additional service and add ons. That's the old Jiffy Lube. They finally figured out that people hated that and, although they still offer suggestions, a simple "no thanks" or "maybe next visit" suffices and they let you go on your merry way. Along with your oil change, they wash your outside windows, vacuum, fill your tires and top off all of your fluids. You're usually in and out in about 15 minutes (less if you go early in the morning and a little more if you go when it's busy). If you do decide to get any of the additional services, they do those fast too (and no appointment needed). They also usually offer to trim $10 dollars of so off the price if you get the service with your oil change. They recently started offering tire rotation for like $21.95. I will definitely take advantage of that in the future. read more

I got my last oil change at this Jiffy Lube, and immediately suspected they did not actually change my oil. I was told my car was done well before it could possibly have been if changing the oil. The car ran worse after I brought it in than before. Today, I brought my car in for a change at a different business, and lo and behold, they told me I was right, and I saw the nasty oil with my own two eyes. Car purrs now. I am disgusted at the owner/employees of this Jiffy Lube location, and would not recommend it or any Jiffy Lube location to anybody. Shame on you. Edit: I'm reading other reviews on other sites too. This does not seem like an uncommon complaint, and apparently Jiffy Lube has sent someone to other people's houses to get them to try to take down reviews??! That's nuts. If you don't want bad reviews, don't rip people off. I am thiiiiis close to contacting corporate/BBB/the cops frankly already. Don't even think about violating my privacy and misusing my personal information by coming to my home. That's messed up. Had a great experience with this location after several frustrating visits to Valvoline. The staff was friendly, efficient, and did not try to up sell me on parts or labor during an oil change and inspection. The tech did point out a worn belt, and advised me that I could purchase a replacement at Auto Zone and change it myself, rather than paying for shop labor and up-charged parts. Jiffy Lube did a good job with my last oil change. However there definitely were a few issues. Biggest of which was the fact that all 4 of my tires were significantly low on air pressure when I left and were just fine when I arrived. They offered to 'rotate' them, I declined and mysteriously my tires lost pressure so..., oil change was fine, service not so much. read more

My husband had come to this location for an oil change and had a good experience. So, I stopped in. They were friendly and polite.
