Unprofessional, Obstinate, Terrible Customer Service Walk in for a routine oil change and rotation. Tight schedule, so walk next door to pick up lunch. Robo-manager tells me to stay, because he can't be bothered with taking my number in case they have questions. I reiterate, to just do the oil change and rotation. Return within 30 minutes and car is wrapping up. Manager informs me they topped off radiator with universal coolant. Not only is this not spec for this vehicle, there's a line item charging me for it. At no point did they mention they would do this. For consolation, he repeatedly blames me for leaving. I needed an oil change in a pinch, not making that mistake again. Trying to convince myself the less than 4 oz of coolant they added doesn't warrant a flush. read more

We went to get an oil change about 40 minutes ago, as we were pulling off the light the windshield fluid sensor was still on in my car. So my husband got out and asked all three technicians if they. They all responded, "yes. You must have a faulty sensor....." 2023 Cadillac truck. Respectfully, the filter is not faulty. drove away went to to pick up something, only to look under the hood and see that they had NOT FILLED UP THE FLUID. Seemed to be careful with their work, wiping down after themselves and double checking everything. About what you would hope for. Today I visited the JiffyLube on Manchester at Kingshighway during my lunch break. The service was great, but I was asked to leave the car. At most other Jiffy Lubes I am able to sit inside my vehicle. Even though I used a coupon, the price for a full synthetic oil change was over $100 before tax. I was surprised that it cost so much. There was only one other car there when I arrived so I was in and out very quickly. (5 stars for that!) I am only giving 4 stars because of the price. read more

I took my car in for a routine oil change July 31. They filled the oil twice the recommended amount. For the last 5 months, I have had to pay for alternate transportation, spend many hours trying to facilitate getting this fixed, and take my car to the shop 5 times and I still have an engine light on. They made one repair after many attempts to contact, and now they are refusing to make any additional repairs, leaving us with at least $300 more in repairs to pay out of pocket for their mistake. I really couldn't have asked for a smoother experience. From the time I left and returned home, fewer than 40 minutes passed. Granted, I went in for service early on a rainy Monday morning, this was the fastest oil change I've ever experienced. A technician met me as I pulled up and held the doors for me on my way out. They did try to upsell me to the higher-quality and more expensive oil, but I have never been to a car repair/maintenance facility who hasn't done the very same. They suggested a new air filter (which was, indeed, due) and also a few other modest additions. The key to good service is friendliness and a professional demeanor, including not overselling the suggestions. Neither did they do this nor did they make me feel judged or incompetent for not taking the suggestion, which I have experienced at other facilities. As woman of color, I always take note of and appreciate when a business is straightforward and not condescending in their interaction with me. Though the experience was "no frills", the transaction was professional and respectful, and they made me feel as though my business was regarded as important. Other than the explicit service for which I paid, that's all I can ask for as a customer. read more

DO NOT USE JIFFY LUBE! Overfilled my Buick's oil on July 31st, damaging my catalytic converter. Had to go through their insurance to force them to fix it. Took 7 weeks to get the car fixed but luckily, I got them to pay for it. CJ, the manager, tried to convince me not to go through the insurance. Clearly he was trying to cover his ass or was feeling pressure from upper management. Maybe a little of both. Absolutely awful customer service. Completely unprofessional. May 2021-This store never knows how to process the gift cards or gift certificates I give them so they make up policies until they figure something out to get me out the door. When I went in May I showed them my printed out $50 gift card from Raise.com and the $10 coupon on JiffyLube.com before I was even let in the bay and everything seemed fine. When it came time to pay I was told they couldn't accept the $50 gift card. When I asked why, he then took it, came back a few minutes later, and said the gift card worked but I can't combine gift cards with a coupon. This seems really odd to me. I then asked for my receipt and they said they would email it to me. I had to contact Jiffy Lube customer service twice to get my receipt because the email they had on file was off by 1 letter. $82 for a synthetic blend oil change is crazy to me, especially since they don't vacuum or clean your windows. The problem with places like Jiffy Lube is that they always seem to have that oh, it's a female, lets try to sell her everything under the sun and convince her that her car is about to self destruct, attitude. I can honestly say, I have also encountered this attitude at this establishment, but on the upside, not as often. Perhaps in my old(er) age, they have learned to back off, but I have not encountered this problem here nearly as often as I have at other Jiffy Lube locations. For the most part, all the guys here are incredibly nice and when you tell them you don't want or need an air filter, they generally listen. It's kind of refreshing. I know it's a chain and the whole point is to get your oil changed as cheaply as possible. That is probably what you will get here. Just know, when they say 3000 miles till your next oil change, I wouldn't listen. Chances are, you can drive up to 5000 (sometimes more) on your car with no problems at all. Check the manual and never listen to what they tell you. Just let them change your oil...that is, after all, what their job is. read more

Upon doing so, I was put in touch with the regional manager and the people at corporate who handle claims such as mine. I was asked to get a couple of estimates and upon doing so was sent a check to cover the damage. It was really a painless process and their claims person was very proactive with followups. While I will not be taking my car to this Jiffy Lube location again (and thus feel that I should keep this review at a 1 star since it is location specific), I would not hesitate to take my car to another Jiffy Lube should the occasion demand it. I will be giving my car a good inspection, with pictures, before and after I do though! I would give the parent company 5 starts for their handling of this matter. read more

I just took my car in for repairs to another shop and they said whomever has been changing my oil has just been using oil drain plug glue and now I have to get my oil pan replaced. A VERY big shout out to Daryen, Mykal, and Lateena. I took my wife's car in for a WAY overdue oil change today, knowing that the hood latch was pretty much rusted shut. Did I mention this car had not been properly tended to in a while? Having tried previously myself, I was hoping that seeing plenty of these same models on a regular basis they maybe would have some tricks up their sleeves that I hadn't tried. Well, they didn't have any special tricks, but they did have remarkable patience, and politeness, and a get 'er done attitude. After tinkering with it for 10-15 minutes, they finally got it open. NEVER ONCE so much as a grumble, complaint, or suggestion that they weren't willing to get it open. I know that doesn't really say anything about the oil change itself (which really was done in a "Jiffy", once they got the hood open). But I just CANNOT overstate how their positive attitudes and professionalism reflected upon the quality of service they provided, and my confidence in the quality of attention they gave to the car. I will absolutely, positively, direct my wife to this location for her next oil change (sorry you suburban folks, we live in the city, and doing our own changes out on a busy city street just isn't an option). To the owner: You have three TOP NOTCH employees here, and while I didn't interact too much with the other shop employees, my limited interactions indicated the same level of professionalism, to include one who ran out himself to pick up an out-of-stock oil filter so it was ready for us once we finally got that hood open. read more

I was in St. Louis from out of town and got a piece of metal stuck in my tire causing a slow leak. I stopped into this Jiffy Lube to see if they repaired tires. The gentleman at the counter said they do not and when I asked him where he would go he gave me the names of several places nearby and told me which one he would go to. I asked him if he would be willing to put some air in my tire to get me to the repair shop and without hesitation, he said yes and told me to pull around to the bay. I pulled in and he filled the tire for me. This kind of service is above and beyond. If I lived in St. Louis I would definitely come here for my oil changes. I will add that the night before when I realized I had a leak I went to a Firestone Auto Care in St. Louis near close, and he told me "I'd help ya, but you don't look like the tipping type." I also called a Dobb's Tire and Auto and the employee told me over the phone, "Sounds like you're shit out of luck." Then proceeded to tell me that he had been at work since 7:30am. I called 35 minutes before they closed and I was 10 minutes away. Thank you so much for helping me out. I wish I would have gotten the employee's name that helped me. I've been here several times in the last few months. A couple oil changes, all the State Inspections and emission testing. The guys here have always been friendly and arriving without an appointment is not a big deal. With the exception of the inspections I dropped my vehicles off for their service and came back once they were done. Unlike some others I did not have other services pushed on me, perhaps it was because I'm a guy? This place is good for oil changes, tire rotations and vehicle inspections required for titling your car in MO. The staff is usually really friendly and works quickly, especially given the volume they deal with. I've never felt like they were trying to upsell me on anything, but that could be because I'm a pretty tough broad when when I want to be. It could also be because I've been going to various Jiffy Lubes since forever and ever (i.e. when I got my first car years ago) and they know what my oil preferences are.
