Ah, the promise of a quick oil change on the cheap. I was talked into going here on a sunday, because one of my friends needed a ride on a saturday (when the shop I planned on going to was open). I thought, well why not, they do thousands of these things, its just an oil change, so what could go wrong... Thing is I found out after going the last 3 or 4 times they were not even changing my oil at all. This caused some engine sludge. In which they tried to upsell me a service to take care of a problem they knew they already created. I then started taking the Jeep to a Jeep dealer and guess what no more engine sludge. This place and other quick line shops are scams. And work on up selling shit you probably don't even fucking need. So screw you jiffy lube and eat my Mercedes dust. Had my oil changed at the Vernon jiffy lube, with synthetic oil, which has a life expectancy of 5000miles, with not even 3000miles on oil change my oil change is coming on. There is no way I should get less than 3000 miles from a synthetic? Oil change. It's a 2018 vehicle like brand new. These places will Robb you blind with there tactics like dry quart, using conventional rather than synthetic or not even changed at all, marking the oil filter with a Sharpe, all a scam stay away from jiffy lube especially in Vernon, was told I would need to go to court to resolve this by the manager at Vernon, any respectable business would try to make this right. Not offer you 2 quarts of oil, and threaten a customer with court for a resolution, and a weak apology which is only lip service read more

I've been to several Jiffy Lube stations in Massachusetts and California. This is the first time I've gone to one in Connecticut and I'm glad I did. They are very sociable, friendly but fast and thorough. There were plenty of discounts for my particular visit tonight and they went out of their way for me, even throwing in a free rear wiper (on top discounts) when they noticed it was kind of ratty and consulted me often let me inspect things--and decide whether they needed changing after all. The manager tonight is especially thorough, professional and awesome, and made me very glad I came in this evening. read more

That was not a good customer experience. Jiffy Lube is overpriced and the people there have no concept of how to work with a customer. I have to say, it's my own fault. I should have gone to the dealership but it was so far overdue I went here. When I'm really upset about is that they didn't reset my counter. This was after they made me go back and to the car several times, in the rain to do something and they when I left, they did not reset the counter. I had to whip around, get wet again to get them to do it. No apology, no sorry. That's what set me off. When I expressed my displeasure, they guy looked at me with a glazed over look and just said, we will take care of it. Just say, "I'm sorry, it's an inconvenience and it's raining. We should have taken care of it and your right. I'm going to make sure it's taken care of right away." So; I won't be beach again and you should not too. read more

Unfortunate. New management(women), nothing against them by the way. It's actually one of the first female technicians I've seen, but was not impressed. Stay clear and I will not return. She told me my radiator fluid needed to be changed, and stated- don't get stuck in traffic. I didn't have the money at the time and opted out. I did drive my car to VT, 6 hours there, 6 hours back and my temp gauge never moved. Then I went back again and got another oil change. Then a week later my radiator cap was leaking and the car was over heating. I brought the cap to autozone, they said the seal was tampered with and bought a new one for 5 bucks. While on broad st. , I went to economy oil. I had them flush my radiator and install my new cap. Well, get this. This was the final straw. I went back later to jiffy lube, they told me I needed new radiator fluid and a new cap. I just watched economy flush and install my new cap. I told jiffy lube - no, and if wanted to have my old radiator cap back. They said they misplaced it. Total scam. People please use yelp. We need to keep these businesses honest. Just because they have free coffee and coupons and seemed nice. You pay them for an oil change(fluids, filter and disposal). Mark your filters with magic marker with date. See if it's changed. Check your oil after you leave, is it dark?? It should be light clear color. Go outside and watch them from the bay. It's your car, your money. They get paid minimum wage. Go to autozone and buy your own air filter, windshield wiper. Good luck. read more

EXCELLENT service. Went in worried we would need a tire change, but the employees were able to inspect the tire, check our warranty, and fill up the pressure all at no charge. I went in on Saturday morning at about 11am. Normally I would've expected this to be the busiest time, but I was the only person there at first. I had been to this Jiffy Lube once before, and the last time, just about everything went wrong with my car that day (not Jiffy Lube's fault, but my battery died and my car needed a good tune up etc). This time, I went in, the staff was so accommodating, they didn't pressure me into buying anything additional, and I was in and out in about 10 minutes flat. This is my first time coming to Jiffy Lube here in Vernon and I do have to say that I am very pleased with my first time here. Well-I like to give people the benefit of a doubt, and there are many places to do an oil change. I had a gift card so took my sons car in. The guys were very courteous and knowledgeable, I was the only customer there. They did not try to add any additional products, but did convince me to do the more expensive synthetic oil for the foreign car. We were done pretty quick but I was VERY disappointed they did not vacuum or clean the windows as it says they did on my receipt. If it were possible to give this location no stars, I would. I went to this location a week ago, (3/22/15) for a routine oil change, specifically because of the hours available. I was told to pull up to the garage door, and told the wait wouldn't be long. I ended up waiting about a half hour or forty minutes before my car was even pulled into the bay. The woman who greeted me then tried to up-sell me to four different oil changes, ranging from $40 to $120, offering me mail-in rebates. The technicians working on my car (an 07 Chevy cobalt ls) could not get the hood open and eventually when they did get it open, they seemed like they were joking around. After waiting 10 to 15 minutes for the actual oil change, they said my car is done and that I could check out. The cashier (same woman who greeted me) once again tried to up-sell (pressuring me) to get a transmission flush, something that I had actually never heard of. They also claimed that I had also missed a transmission flush and that I was in a dangerous territory with my engine because I had missed this. After I paid, and got into my car, I had noticed that my oil life percentage meter had not reset, which I found odd, but chalked up to the fact that maybe they had not touched the sensor to reset the meter. A few days later, my car began leaking oil, and then pouring oil. As it turns out, there was no oil filter in my engine, and thus almost no oil in my engine at all. After replacing the oil filter and pouring a full container of recommended oil, my car did not leak overnight. After working all day, and driving home, my car leaked a puddle of oil. I do not recommend going to this location, even if it is convenient. read more

I was hesitant to go to Jiffy Lube due to negative stereotypes and Yelp reviews, but I had a coupon and only needed an oil change, so I figured what the heck. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised! I walked in and was promptly offered service by a friendly representative who did not try to upsell me. I sat in the waiting room for no longer than 30 minutes. What's more, they washed my windows, vacuumed my mats, and held the door for me as I got into my car to leave. Impressive customer service. Typically I go to another local auto shop for my oil change/any auto servicing, but tend to wait over 1-1.5 hr for service. I will for sure be returning to Jiffy Lube in the future. read more

We drove out of our way to come here last weekend. We arrived at 625, after checking that shop closes at 7, with no one in front of us. Male comes out to our car and says he is done for the day. We ask why since multiple workers are still there, all the bay doors are open, and it SAYS you close at 7.. He then says that management changed the hours. Oh I'm sure!
