When I say this Goodyear shop went above and beyond, it is no exaggeration. One hour before they were closing I came in after learning my tire was punctured after parking to go shopping. I was 45minutes from home. Immediately, Rachel greeted me, listened to the problem, and got me right in. Discovering that the tire was not repairable and they didn't have the right tire in stock, both Rachel and her manager, Marty, proceeded to call around and find a tire that would fit my car. Upon locating one, the manager got in his car, drove 25 min to the shop to get it, driving back where Rachel and the service technician stayed after working hours to put the new tire on and get me back on the road. I have to say the service at Goodyear in Vernon is A++. I had gone a few months earlier this year to get new tires out on my 2008 Toyota Prius. I was given excellent advice from their front end tech who promised me the tires would get my car up the hill of my road that I would always get stuck on. Sure enough they were correct earning my respect. Which is why I returned today for my standard oil change. I came with an already made appointment. I was greeted when I walked in with a big smile. They were super nice not only to me but to everyone who came in for service while I waited on my oil change. I was even offered an incredible cream puff pastry from next door. Which I gladly accepted and was superb. Such top notch service is hard to find these days. They made me feel welcome and at home. Their service is awesome. I scheduled the purchase mounting and balancing of four new tires and an oil change. As far as I can tell everything seems fine. The quality of the products and service was good. In order to make things faster when I got there, I dropped off the wheels a day early. I expected the work to take an hour or two. I know I can change my own tires and oil in about that amount of time. I was there almost 5 hours. I won't go here again because it took so long. read more

Today, Sunday at 4:30pm, during our Family trip from Boston to New Jersey, our Honda van's tire blew out. After steering car safely to shoulder and changing tire with spare. We did not wanted to drive all the way to NJ and risk our safely. We looked for tire place and one of the nearest tire store was located as Good Year Vernon Rockville CT. We called them to give heads up, they mentioned that it was closing time but they would wait for us and we should drive slowly below 50mph on spare. Once we came, we were greeted by Simon Tasker and Demaulie Henriques, who assured us they would do their best to help us and not to worry. To quote Simon, "We are Good Year and no need to worry". They looked at our blew tire and checked other rear tire also and showed how Bare thread they were. Instead of trying to take advantage of situation and up sell us They identified economical cost tires in our price range. Technician also discovered that root cause our tire problems may be "leaking sensors" and how they should be replaced to avoid any future issues. In brief, They expertly solves our issue and got us back on road promptly. Most touching thing is how they patiently and compassionately answered all the curious and repeated questions from our nervous and upset autistic son. They explained him importance of car maintenance and tire safely, lessons he may remember for his whole life. Who could not stop talking about them whole way home. I am sure he will tell everyone at his school about them. We greatly appreciate all the help at such late hour in the day. I stopped by Goodyear after discovering my NEW tire was flat on my way up to Maine from Virginia at 5am. This shop opened an hour before the others and we were promptly greeted and assisted. The gentleman Nick who helped us called EVERY contact he had to find a replacement tire. After that was unsuccessful, he researched the thread on the tire and found a tire with the closet thread so we could continue our journey north. He was pleasant, kind, patient, and relentless with his help. Although I felt unlucky for what happened to the tire I felt extraordinarily lucky that I came to this shop. He even offered to hold my faulty tire over Christmas so on my way back I could get refunded. I am forever grateful. read more

Only Nick at Goodyear in Vernon was able to give me an immediate quote on the specific Michelin tire I wanted (the same model tire comes in different tread patterns for different vehicles). Although the tire alone was more than the Tire Rack price, they came with lifetime balancing and rotation. Reasonably priced installation and 4 wheel (lifetime) alignment took 1/2 hr longer than estimated but I'm confident the job was done right and worth the wait. My life is worth the (slight) extra time and expense. Also, their $35 per tire road hazard protection is superior to the competition. read more

I have recently moved to the area and needed to find a new shop for tires , oil changes etc. I spoke to Nick and set up an appointment in advance to get a new set of tires , alignment and oil and filter changed. Got a verbal estimate of $1216. I dropped my vehicle off 10-16-2020 Friday evening for my Saturday MORNING appt. 12:30 pm , and I have received NO communication from this service center. So I call and am told they have one tire left to mount and balance , and one vehicle ahead of me on the alignment rack. Should be good to go around 1:30-2:00 pm. I receive a phone call at 1:00 pm that it needed a tune up and serpentine belt, which I declined. Now I am expecting to be told my Truck is done! Nope! They will let me know....click..... 4pm. No phone call. So I am pretty disgusted with this service center. I have to call again. Same story .... not done yet. So I told the counter guy I was on my way. I swear it is magic!!!!!!!! There is my vehicle in the parking lot. Done!!!! Now you would think this frustrating experience would be concluded. Nope!!! I could not just pay and get out , I had to wait even longer while the guy cashed out other customers. Or should I say , tried , to cash out the other customer. "It's going to be a bit longer sir" I was told. So I watched the show while the other guys bill got supposedly " reduced". Finally!!!!! My turn to pay for such an annoying experience!!! I got the same bs about some promotions not being applied to my bill etc. etc. etc...... And I actually got charged less than quoted by $100,so that was a semi plus. But should I have had to be tortured at all?? Now that I have gotten this off my chest and wiped my tears and blew my nose..... I will share what I have learned. I should not have dropped my vehicle off and not specified a pick up time. This place is such a disappointment. So with this rant complete , use caution and specify your desired pick up time if you use them. The balance of my tires and the alignment are good. So I at least got that! Never never again! I would give negative stars if I could. I've been around cars a long time, I brought in the entire new hub assembly with me. All I needed was it put on the drivers side took me 45 minutes last week. In their defense I had a 3:30 appointment, but I was running early and came in to see if they were open enough to take it. The counter guy said sure, took my keys and told me he'd call when it was done, I walked across the street and killed an hour and half shopping only to come back and find that it hadn't even moved! I asked how it was going and got a lecture from the manager about why they have appointments and that I was up next. He assured me after it went in it should only be half an hour. I'm still sitting here an hour and half later! Don't expect quick service. Don't be surprised when they give you excuses and make you the problem with their system. Or just DONT go here! The place was shady. I got 4 new tires and the manager Tom seemed like an expert con artist. A few extra fees were added into my service but I was able to catch them and have them omitted($80 extra). I waited about 1 hour for 4 tires mounted. However ad I waited they baited an old man for $1000 more service on his car. I felt bad for him but nothing I could do. I won't go here again. Hello; I thought you people worked on tires. I called before leaving the house to have a tire repaired. I called Town Fair, Goodyear and one other place after working a half day today (Saturday). My tire is experiencing a slow leak. I removed the tire from the vehicle. I brought the tire to Goodyear just before 12:00 noon. I was told that they would be able to get to this today. I called at around 2:00 to check on the progress. I was told that someone would call me when the job was done. I decided to just show-up at Goodyear located on Kelly Road in Vernon, CT. I told the guy behind the counter that I was here to pick my tire. He went into the shop to get the tire. He came back to ask if someone had called me. I told him no that was not the case. He said that NO ONE had gotten to it yet. I told him that I was there to pickup my tire. I wished him a good day and left. This did not cost me anything in dollar amount but was a complete waste of time. So..... Do you people work on tires???!! I believe that they mostly sell tires. Perhaps that is what they had in mind in my case. Of course, I only needed one tire repaired. I suspect that I would have a need for four new tires. New valve stems, balanced and a front end alignment as well. Go there if you want to purchase tires. Go some where else for a simple service. Terrible. Waited over 4 hours to be told they couldn't fix my car. The worst part is the responsible person to address my car with me decided to spend time flirting outside with young women helping them to tie their bike to their car (these young people were not customers). So when i went out to ask where my car was, he said he was off the clock and couldn't do anything about it. I was furious. I purchased four new tires with lifetime free rotation and have been getting my oil changed there regularly always totaling around $29.00 They have always been trying to sell me extra services during my oil changes, but I said that I will take care of it. This last time I asked them to rotate the tires, refused the extra services, and got the bill $ 43.00. I said what's up it's always $29.00. Oh shop fees, oil filter disposal fee, extra quart of oil yada yada yada. He said that I was being under charged all the other times. Then I get home and realize they didn't rotate my tires, called them and he stated that since my tread wear didn't show any difference that they choose not to rotate the tires. So I did it! Add my negative review to the list. I was quoted approximately $200.00 for two new tires for my Jeep by one counter clerk . An hour later, when I returned to pick up the car, the first clerk and I had dealt with was "out" and a second clerk gave me a bill for over $500.00. The bill was inflated with extra charges beyond the normal mounting and balancing, such as insurance and cleaning the rims. There was no discussion of these items upon obtaining the quote. I believe these guys are just bait and switch experts. Be forewarned! read more

I had a positive experience. I came in with a good idea of what needed to be done and everyone I interacted with went out of their way to make sure I got the service I wanted. I was having brakes replaced that were relatively new but I wanted them changed with the other repairs I needed to have done. Rather than just changing them and charging me for the work, they clarified that I truly wanted them replaced as well, given their relatively good condition. I was impressed with that honesty. They also not only told me about an error I had made changing my own tire recently but brought me in to show me how I should have done it so that in the future I am safer. Also, while the work was being done they periodically updated me on the progress and checked in to see how I was doing/ask if I needed anything while I waited. I can't speak to anyone else's experience, but mine was very pleasant and I would definitely go back. read more
