I went in for an oil change and the tech told me that I needed transmission fluid that it was bone dry ( was told the tech who handles that was off ) I was able to get into the dealership where I bought my car a few hours later to inspect everything, was told nothing was wrong . jiffy lube told me they were very honest and upfront about what needed to be done with my car ! what a joke this place is !! read more

8/2/25 -- The guys working here this morning were very nice and informative. They did tell me (and others in the lobby for their vehicles) other things that needed to be worked on such and transmission and differential fluid (which I knew it was due for them to be replaced). It did not feel like they were trying to upsell me or with the others around which was very nice. They do have coupons going for each oil type usually which is also very nice. SIDE NOTE: if you're looking for a quick 5 minute IN & OUT oil change, this is probably not the right place for you. They take their time and inspect on all fluids just to keep you updated on your vehicle maintenance. read more

I have always been able to trust the team at this location to take care of all of my needs without unwanted up sales, except when items were legitimately needed. I've been to multiple Jiffy Lubes over the years for oil changes and told myself I would never go back because of dishonesty. I finally decided to use a Groupon and go back to Jiffy Lube. I've never left a review before but felt like I needed to recognize Stephen Carroll, I hope I spelled his name right. He is honest and a Christian! He's the only one that hasn't pressured me into anything or lied to me about something. He actually vacuumed my carpets and my windows too! DANGER!! Beware; these guys are rip-off artists, especially with women. Jiffy Lube makes their money doing "bait and switch." You come in for a good advertised deal only to be told the manufacturer says your car needs more expensive oil and it ends up costing you two to three times more. If they really think they have a sucker who doesn't know anything about cars, they'll tell you that you need expensive services you really don't--and sound very convincing. You can't trust their ethics or their work. Last year I took my car in for an oil change and they were suppose to put in a synthetic oil that would last a year. A few months later I took my car for service at a different mechanic, and he showed me that my oil was really black. No way Jiffy Lube had changed it, especially since I drive less than 4,000 miles a year, but I guarantee I had been charged for an oil change. Of course, I had no proof, but when I reached out to the shop with my concerns, I was told they were under new management, and if I'd give them another chance they'd do another oil change for half. (It's so tempting to use this location since they're just a few blocks from my house.) Dumb me, I went for it. And when they changed the oil, they didn't do something right with some kind of valve or seal. My car smelled hot and smoked like it was on fire, and it cost me $500 to get fixed at a garage near my work. read more

Been to jiffy lube a coupe times now since moving to Wichita and I HIGHLY recommend them! They are very sweet and highly educated. I know there is a stigma for mechanics about wanting to fix what doesn't need to be fixed in order to get more money. This is not how they operate and it is so refreshing to have this resource so close to home. One mechanic in particular that we very much enjoy is Elijah, ask for him! When I went to this location to get my oil changed they told me that there was coolant in my oil. Saying it was red. They then only topped it off and told me to come back the next day. Well after having someone else look at my oil I was told there was nothing wrong with my oil and the oil I use typically has a red hue (I use a full synthetic oil). Even if there was coolant in my oil would you not try to fix it or idk CHANGE MY OIL?? So lying to a customer and trying to scam them is ok now? Will never be going back. and Les? Called to see if the wait was long and the person we spoke to was very kind and informative, said it wouldn't be too long and definitely lived up to it. Took about 30 minutes max. Les was very kind, not just to us but also to the people who came in after and before us. With each person he really took his time to reassure and care for them and inform them on their vehicle. I had a Jiffy Lube coupon for an oil change. They immediately started trying to upgrade me. They took the coupon and I never saw it again. They said more expensive oil is better for my car than cheaper oil, since my car has 104K miles on it. They are con artists and they overcharged me. My brother took my car here for an oil change with a ~$20 coupon. Was told my car needed a "special" oil change service ($60), but he will do him a favor by giving him a $30 discount. So...........the oil change ended up costing ~$30+, not ~$20. Does my car look like a freaking Beamer to you?! Never have my oil changes cost me $60 (special oil or not). Anyway, not going here again. Not sure what kind of bull they will pull next. read more

They will lie to make a sale here. Hate going to mechanics and such, b/c as a woman, I feel like I have a target on my back. Against my better judgment, I took their advice and bought the more expensive oil. Of course, it did not resolve the leakage, and I ended up just donating the old car, since it cost more than it was worth to fix the leak. I would not recommend this place to anybody. read more

I chose regular oil change and upgraded to Penzoil. Of course there were several items noted by the employees needing my attention. I get it, upsell is the name of the game. I chose not to have them perform 4 services noted by their version of my "required" maintenance schedule. In the end I chose one additional service discounted by 50% and the mechanics performed my service in a timely manner. read more

Shayne and his team did a great job on my car!! I typically get sold hard on up-sells after a routine oil change. They actually did the OPPOSITE. Got me exactly what I needed done and added in a few FREE services without me having to even ask. I went for a basic oil change and they, of corse, told me I had 5 other things wrong with my car that needed urgent attention. I told them that I just wanted the oil change only anyways and they were rude about it but listened. Then the next day all kinds of things started going wrong with my car (the check engine light came on, the car flooded in the interior, etc...) despite never having had an issue previously and I take fantastic care of my car. I took it to our family mechanic who said he's seen the same issues from cars that went to Jiffy Lube! He thinks they INTENTIONALLY mess with cars. I will NEVER return. read more

go in for their 19.99 oil change and leave paying 120.00 Had several different people telling me what I needed to do and some guy asking if everyone was doing specific things and all pushing me to do different things. Bought a groupon for my kids, my son (21) complained that he had to pay an additional $37. Sent my daughter (18) with a groupon, they did the same to her, telling her it needed a special filter and oil and would only cost "a little extra". I called the manager. I am well aware of the upsell routine these places employ, but was in a bind and just needed to be in and out somewhere for an oil change. For starters, they tried to convince me my car needed a different (more expensive) oil, which I knew for a fact was untrue. Further, I was explicitly clear that I didn't want anything but the oil changed, as I'm driving a leased vehicle I'm about to turn in. Regardless, they still came in and attempted to sell me several other services. I declined, and reminded the employee what I had mentioned when I first came in, which was that the left rear tire needed air added. He assured me they'd check the tire pressures and add air as necessary. When they were done and I got in my car, the "low tire pressure" message was still displayed. I went back inside and asked if it had been checked. The same employee said, "Yep! I checked them all myself! And added air. You'll have to drive for about 15 miles and then it will reset." I knew then and there he was not being honest, as that's not how my car works, but I wasn't in the mood to argue with him. I went immediately on my own and checked the tire pressure, and he definitely had not added an ounce of air. If they can't be honest about something as simple as checking my tire pressure and adding air, they can't be trusted. Won't be going back. read more

The following happened at the location on west central in Wichita, KS. Have a fleet vehicle with slips that specify what services are to be performed at 5,000 mile intervals. My 50,000 mile slip said oil change and nothing else. After I called my fleet company I found out Jiffy Lube called and lied to them telling them my slip also said tire rotation. To top it off my tires had just been installed 2 weeks prior. This turned a 40 dollar oil change into $125. BE AWARE AND FIND ANY OTHER PLACE TO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE! read more

We have been taking our daughter's car here for almost a year now. When a certain dealership told us we needed to have upwards of $1300 worth of work done we decided to get a 2nd opinion. Our daughter really liked the staff here as this is where she would have her oil changes done. So I took the "laundry list" the dealership gave me and brought it to them and asked them to please check these items and give us their honest thoughts. Yes, some things did require immediate attention but the cost at Jiffy Lube was very near HALF OF THE COST that the dealership quoted us! I did call around and get quotes from other places as well and Jiffy Lube still beat them all. Went ahead and had them do the work and it was done within one day. As for the other items that the dealership said needed done, the staff at Jiffy Lube said that nothing needed to be done right away and that they would keep an eye on those things as she came in for her oil changes and let us know when it was time to get them done. They kept their promise too! We recently bought another car for our other daughter and had to take it to the dealership to take care of some recalls and again they said that this one needed almost $1700 worth of work done! Took the list to Jiffy Lube and a two of the costliest repairs didn't even need to be done! We again let Jiffy Lube do the repairs and again....after quote checking they beat them all! My understanding is that this location is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT so here is what I would propose...give them another try or just try them if you haven't! And remember, most anytime I have taken a car to ANY shop they will always try to upsell you on things...so don't hold that against them. THANK YOU JACOB AND TEAM for your honesty and great service!
