I was referred to Jigsaw 3-4 years ago when I was looking for a good mechanic. I called a mobile mechanic who was highly recommended. When he told me he was not available for 3 weeks, he suggested trying Mike at Jigsaw. He said, "If I was not a mechanic myself, Mike is where I would take my cars." I have not been sorry one time that I went to Jigsaw! Mike is more than fair in everything he does. My 21-year-old van is set up for a power wheelchair. I have had issues with some of the specialized items on the van & Mike has been willing to look into them & work on them. He has kept me going when nobody else was willing to try! Mike is a tremendously talented mechanic. Yes, he can do your basic oil change type things, but Mike excels at creating, fabricating a master piece for you. From custom exhaust to a custom off road hunting rig (which is what he is doing for me), you can stop by and talk your project, and let me tell you, the two of you will bounce ideas around and your only limit is your imagination. The 1990 Wrangler YJ. It's not pretty, but it's a hunting rig...Mike installed a high steer system, swapped out the stock carb for a Weber, rebuilt the transfer case, it has a custom roll bar, it's going to have a center seat in the back (she'll only seat three total) so custom fabricated storage for rifles, bows and fishing gear can be secured even when there is no top on her. Our next project is in the works already too...it'll be another Jeep, and this time we are going to either make it pure electric or swap the 4.0 for a crate four cylinder diesel. Just had a muffler system installed on classic show car. Gave them the muffler and all hardware. All they had to do was bend the pipe from a Y collector to the muffler ( I suppled ) and back over the axle to tail pipe. TOOK 3.5 hours? They made a mess out of it. Main pipe to muffler is way to low... improperly bent. Pointed it out to them and was given bullshit answer. The pipe up and over the axle is way too shallow so don't hit any big bumps if the car is loaded down. I RESTORED THIS CAR MYSELF. I am a retired engineer and probably know more about auto repair then these clowns. Charged me 450 dollars for this mess that I will have to have redone, or wind up doing myself. read more

About two months or back I yelped this business and gave it 5 stars. I think the owner possibly lost his mind since my last visit! I took a Hyundai Accent to have the air conditioning looked at. We called before we came in, and we've had him work on several of our cars in the past. So we are returning customers. He said it would take 1 day. So we left it over night. After not hearing from Mike all day the next day I called and ask if our car was ready. He was angry and very rude telling me his machine broke down and can't work on our car. Loudly he is ranting to me about his 7000 dollar machine and how I need to come pick up my car. Yeah OK . I'm on my way. When we get there he's outside and my wife ask him why he didn't call us and let us know earlier that he could not work on our car. He's loudly exclaims my damn machine is broken, she replies well is your phone broke to, and he turn and walks toward the door exclaiming get the fuck out of here lady. I follow him in to get the key and tell him we are done, like forever done! We will take our business elsewhere. So there you have it. Bad service, and rude loud, arrogant, angry, behavior. My advise is stay away from Jigsaw. I'd venture to say there is a lot more broken at this business that his damn machine! read more

This Auto repair shop will screw you over any way possible! The owner is dishonest, insanely greedy! The owner is extremely cocky and will try and tell you he does only top notch work and build rides for Sema [lies).... I was previously employed here and was treated very poorly and lied to the entire time! I was lied to about my starting pay... After working a week, I got my first pay check it was 3$ an hour less then originally agreed upon!! Owner played dumb like he didn't remember saying that... so when I had enough and quit the owner hands me my last check and it's for 1 day of work!!! Uuummm what about the rest of the week!!!??? If the owner will treat his employees like this how you think the customers get treated!! Just sad.... read more

The two guys that work there were just getting back from test driving my truck and My son said "no hurry but we are here to pick up my mom's truck." this place will screw you over! you will save yourself a headache if you don't come here. I dropped my car off for the check engine light, $400 later i was told i was good to go. i get up the street and my car was exactly the same! when i called them on Monday, after not having a car for the entire weekend, i was told that they had not fixed it and they can not fix it and i would not be getting a refund, but credit to put towards a different car. This place is a scam and they took full advantage of me. Save your money and get the job done by professionals. read more

I had used Jigsaw before to get a bearing pressed out and a new one pressed in. I think they charged about $40 or so, which seemed about right to me. Fast forward to now and I need a balljoint pressed out and a new one pressed in. I figured Jigsaw would be good for this too as they're close and I previously had a good experience with them. So I call at 8am and the owner answers. I tell him what I need done (balljoint out/in, I bring in the arm) and says it's something he can probably do. Me: "Great, well can you do it today? Because I need it today." "Sure," he says, "shouldn't be a problem." So I bring it over, getting there at 8:15am. The owner looks at it, confirms it shouldn't be an issue but may be tricky and if he has any problems will let me know. We reiterate that it will be done today, so great, all seems good. About 1:30 I call the shop to see how it's going. Guy on phone (not owner): "Oh yeah, that's going to take a couple hours, we weren't sure if you wanted it done or not so we were waiting." I found that kind of odd. Waiting for what? If you're going to do it today, and it's already 1:30pm, you close at 5pm, you haven't started, it's going to take a couple hours, and you haven't called the customer to inform them. "Ok" I said, "do it, but if you can't do it, let me know so I have time to take it somewhere else. I need this today." "We'll have it done today, we don't want to break the arm." Fine. So I wait. I do other things. A couple of hours go by. It's now 4:00 pm and I call back. A woman answers, presumably the counter person. I ask how it's going and hear someone yelling in the background. Receptionist: "It'll be a couple hours, they are just getting to it now." Me: "Uh, don't you close at 5pm? That's only an hour..." Receptionist: "Yes, we close at 5" Me: "And it will be done by then?" Receptionist: "Oh he's saying something about not wanting to break it. It will be done by then." So 4pm and they're just getting to it. They have an hour before they close. 5pm rolls around and I get a call. "It's done" he says. Sounded like the same guy from when I called at 1:30. Great, it's done, I can get back to work! So I go pick it up. It's $150. To press a ball joint out and a new one in. $150 and they started at 4pm and it's now 5pm. Me: "$150? Are you serious?" Large guy from the phone: "Yeah buddy, I got 2 hours into this and the owner wouldn't let me charge for 2 hours so I charged an hour and a half." Me: "To press a ball joint out and a new one in? Seriously?" Large guy: "Yeah, I told you it'd be a couple hours and you said go for it, so that's what it is." At this point I was pissed and he was pissed. We exchanged some more. I pointed out that at 1:30 when I called and found them to 'waiting to tell me', I then had time to take it to Reno and get it done far cheaper. I can get 4 new ball joints already installed in arms for $160 (plus core of course). He pointed out that the world doesn't revolve around me and he didn't get in until later. Great. So I asked if he had to make a jig, figuring perhaps some of that insane charge went to making a part (I didn't ask this in a pissed way, nor a derogatory way, simply in a normal manner as I knew at that point being mad made nothing better). I thought he was going to take a swing at me. "I had one guy work on this for 2 hours, that's what it took. We can press it back out if you want." In retrospect, I should have taken him up on it. But there was no reasoning with this guy. Especially not the part about starting at 4pm and it being 5pm, and although Carson can be a timewarp, that is really only 1 hour. I paid it and I left. I will never, ever, use Jigsaw again for anything. The owner genuinely seemed like a nice guy and he probably is. But this guy I dealt with was a joke. Bottom line: If you want to get ripped off and treated like crap, use Jigsaw, otherwise go elsewhere. read more

I was a customer at Jigsaw, I had my oil change, breaks and rotors changed 7 months ago. The mechanic that worked on my vehicle did not reset my sensor in my vehicle or my oil light. The break light had been on but wasn't showing because of the oil light. I had a different shop take care of my car to learn they never reset the break light. I went back to jigsaw to ask why they didn't reset the light and the owner of the shop (Mike) treated me like I was bothering him. He sent a different mechanic out to help me and he didn't know how to reset my break light. I had to show him. Then I learned that the sensor was damaged and it was working and not damaged when I took my vehicle to Jigsaw. My son was sitting in the lobby when the owner came in and told another employee in front of my nine year old son that I was a stupid bitc* and how I bitc* about everything and blame them for things they didn't do. He then said he Fuc*en hated us. My nine year old came to tell me this when we got into the car to leave, after he said he couldn't help me and to go to the dealership. I would not recommend going to this shop to anyone. I have never been treated so bad by anyone or shop like this. Not even one star is worth what I could rate them -100. read more
