There are some stereotypes of mechanic shops: shady, unethical, slow, etc. Nevada Auto Repair is none of the above! I brought my car in needing some electrical work and an oil change. I thought I'd get a jump on some other maintenance, while it was in. I was told the other maintenance wasn't needed for at least another 10,000 miles (...not just taking my money and doing unneeded work? That should be the industry standard, but seems to be systemic!). They then kept me updated on timelines and pricing, notifying me/verifying me on any changes (a part needed to be ordered: they called, let me know, and told me when it should be in/how long the work would take once in). Finally, with the new part needed, they still did all the other work same day, and had the car set up to fix when the part came in the next day (efficiency!). Holy cow! Bill and Nathan are amazing. Always fast service, honest opinions, and at a great value. Easy to work with and it always seems like my car is a priority when I bring it in, even though I know they have other customers. First time I brought my car in they were very honest, saying that the repairs are worth more than the car and that normally they'd say to just sell the car. BUT they told me the motor was in such good shape, that the car will last a while with the right repairs. The car was old so that opinion was very valuable to me. Highly recommend. read more

I just bought a 2004 Z06 Corvette and wanted to check condition of fluids while having an SLP Skip Shift Eliminator installed. I was referred by another happy customer of this shop and was very pleased with the service and the price. I had called earlier in the week for an early am appointment and was there when they opened. They got started on my car without delay and I was on my way in no time with a very reasonable labor charge. As a former SCCA Road Racer, I was impressed with the racing background and knowledge of Owner Bill and his son Chris. It sure is great to find a nice, honest, friendly shop. I've been going to Nevada Auto Repair since I was 16 with my first car. I've always worked with Bill, and I think he's the best mechanic in town. He's friendly and fast too. My clutch went out on my 93 Jeep Wrangler this fall and I was expecting for it to take at least a week to fix. He had it done in 2 days, I think. He's worked on my 80 Datsun 280zx, and my 2004 Honda Accord and every time the work has been quality. I'd recommend Nevada Auto repair to everyone I know...and I do. :) read more

I went to Nevada Auto Repair 3 weeks ago for oil change for my car, I am new in town and the store was convenient for me as it is located close to my work. I pay more than 80$ for oil change and I was told besides engine oil, all other oil components were checked and filled as necessary. Day after the oil change, windshield washer fluid level low sign came on. I took it back to the shop and he filled it up saying that "I don't know how he forgot to check it. I checked other fluid and topped up." 2 days after, coolant level low sign came on on my car. Then I decided to check all fluid levels and found that coolant was really low, antifreeze is low and even brake fluid is also low. I am really scared that I was driving with very low coolant level thinking that all fluid levels are good. read more
