I would highly recommend Double J Auto for any automotive needs... This business came through for me when I needed it the most! One night while at work I had noticed I was dripping radiator fluid, in a panic because this is my only car to get to work I started searching for mechanics, knowing that mechanics are very backed up and it's hard to get your car in and out in the same day. This was no problem for Double J Auto! They replace the radiator and thermostat and had to be back on the road and to work on time... Extremely knowledgeable staff, the kind of customer service I had forgotten about and it was nice to revisit that kind of service again. Even though it was an expensive repair, it was less painful seeing how fast they were able to turn it around knowing how busy shops are nowadays. I was referred to them by coworkers and they were spot on! They definitely earned a new customer today and they will definitely earn my business in the future. Having a reliable mechanic that you can trust is extremely hard to fine. You can go on YouTube and see nothing but mechanic scams all day long. But the folks at Double J Auto are the mechanics that you can trust and rely on. I got my brakes done here and some other work with an oil change. It was horrible. I had serious problems with the brakes after and the oil was still leaking. I called to tell them I was still having problems and they said they had fixed everything. I do not recommend this place. I ended up having to go to another place and spent $5,500 to get the same issues fixed. read more

I have been bringing our 2015 Subaru Outback to Allen since we bought it brand new. He is all about customer service and making sure we keep coming back...which we do. He has done all the LOF & preventative maintenance for the past 130,000 miles. About 19 months ago , I had my front transaxles replaced as he had noticed they were worn out. About 2 weeks ago, one of the transaxles came off while pulling from the shoulder onto the pavement. I had it towed to his shop & he replaced the transaxle at no charge (neither for parts or labor ) even though I had no warranty. He knew this was a 'freak' thing for this to happen and he did me 'a solid' by not charging me. This was especially nice since I was already out $400 for the towing charge to his shop. He & his crew have consistently done excellent work and he has stood behind all his repairs. read more

Do not bring these people you business. My poor mother's car dies, and we tow it to them and ask to diagnose. 30 minutes later they tell us the timing belt snapped and the engine is shot. They tell her to cut her losses and tow it off there lot. They also quoted $8k for a rebuilt engine swap. For a 1990 Yota, $8K! We brought it to Hollars for a second opinion. New distributor and starter, $800 later and two days and my mother has her car back. These people completely blew my mother off, and made her feel like her beloved little Toyota was just a piece of junk. Please, do not give these people your business. ***Review update*** So after the reviews posted from my family, the owner did reach out to my mother, and apologized for their gross misdiagnosis, and even reimbursed my mom for the tows she came out of pocket for in result of it. Thank God we did get a second opinion, but that being said, thank you to the owner for reaching out to do what you could to make things right. read more

I have brought all three of my daughters vehicles into Double "J" over a period of a year. Allen has been more than accommodating each and every visit. I'm a stickler for detail and I have a difficult time trusting car shops due to my past experiences. Being a retired police officer and now an investigator, my bullshit meter is fully functional and extremely prejudice with con-artist types in the auto repair shop industry. The first time I brought my oldest daughter's middle of the road, soccer mom van in with air intake issues. Allen took the time immediately to diagnose the issue and drive the vehicle around the block even though he was busy repairing a vehicle. Allen and I had never met prior to this visit. He was able to help me leave the shop with no costs to me. The second time Allen worked on one of my daughter's Subarus and was able to fix the vehicle and get it back on the road with a barter in trade. Who the heck does that these days? The third visit was this last Monday when my third daughter's Subaru took a dive with an over heating engine. Allen replaced the radiator and took the extra effort to clean out the engine with a product the previous owner had tried to stop a leak. This blockage caused a little more work than expected for Allen. After the vehicle was complete and I was paying for the bill, Allen took an additional amount of money off with no prompting at all. I never asked for the discount nor did I suggest one. The break was a very nice gesture that not many mechanics will do for the customer. The car is running good and appears to have been completely repaired. I thought Allen deserved the accolades and appreciation from this happy customer. Allen will be referred to everyone I know. In addition, Allen was very polite and customer service oriented. I believe he truly wants to see his customers be happy and safe. Thank you, Allen!! read more

Don't go here. Very poor service and disrespectful. If you're a woman, you'll automatically feel like they are trying to scam you. Usually smaller shops are more inclined to give better and honest service, however, I felt that this place and the people working there don't care about anything they do. The worst auto shop to go to. Towed our Toyota there to get it's checked after it broke down. They told us that the timing belt broke and the water pump was done. They quoted 8k to fix it. Maybe if it was a brand new BMW needing an engine that needed to be swapped. But it was a 90's Toyota. We took it to Hollars automative and they said the timing belt and water pump were FINE! Hollars quoted us 800 for a life time warranty on a new starter and distributors. Screw Double J. Don't go here. Either they hired some jackass or they are all just incompetent, lazy "mechanics". Either way, you will waste money here. Go to Hollars automative. Especially if our have a 4X4 Toyota. read more

My hubby and I have come here 4-5 times...NEVER for a repeated problem. They have done their job correctly the first time every time we've come here. We have 2 vehicles that are 10+ years old so we are starting to have some issues with them. We found this shop via yelp and have had nothing but insanely wonderful service from them. Their pricing is on point, but with the honesty and welcoming customer service we get here, I could almost care less how much they charge. I can whole heartedly say that this shop will not rip you off, if anything you will walk away spending less than expected. A mouse crawled into my car's AC and the blower motor ended his life. It also ended the blower motor's life. I suspected a mouse straight off. Allen and his crew verified this with a photo of a mouse carcass and a whole lot of live maggots! So disgusting! They got my car all fixed including cleaning out the maggots and addressing the tremendous smell. My car happens to have a difficult to reach blower motor. My husband and I tried to get to it ourselves. I am sure it took way longer to repair than the hours quoted. This was an above and beyond job and I so appreciate Allen and his team. read more

I got totally ripped off by this company. Went in for my serpentine belt. $1300 later, "I should be running good for a long time". I am 74 years old. How much longer do I really have?? Double J replaced my battery because it was 4 years old ?!? No phone call asking me if it was ok. I have never heard such a thing. Wonder if they even located the oil leak that I had under the right front? Probably not. The paperwork does not mention it at all. At this point, do I really care? Heck no!! Took my Charger to get new tires on it and an oil change. Allen was real nice. Work was done promptly. Price was great. Work was not good. After they were done I looked at the tires and rims and noticed that they had A LOT of black marks all over them. I thought well their prices are good so what, I have to scrub some black marks off them. Well when I cleaned them they were all scratched up and chipped. All four rims at 300+ each. I contacted Allen and he took no responsibility for them said there is no way they could have done it. Well the tires that were on it were the original tires so the rims were never touched by any mechanics except to clean and polish. They were prestine. So now I'm forced to file an Insurance claim and pay my deductible which I will try to get from the Double J jackasses. Guess that's why they call it Double J. The J stands for Jackass. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from them. Unless you don't care about QUALITY WORK and INTEGRITY. read more

Allen the owner is a no nonsense kind of guy. He is honest and trustworthy. I will only take my cars to him! He doesn't do unnecessary repairs, he does make recommendations based on what he sees but he leaves it up to you to make the decision of what you want done. No overselling no overpricing. He will go out of his way to make sure your car is safe and running good. I say this because we took one of our cars to him because the rear brakes sounded horrible. After getting a quote from Les Schwab for over $750.00, he found that the rear brakes just needed cleaning and adjusting. Total tab was $30.00. Enough said! read more

The dealership where I was getting my Corolla serviced told me that I needed a head gasket repair and a new water pump which was going to cost me around $2,500. I called and talked to Allen about it because I don't have that many miles on the car by Toyota standards and he said to bring it in. Turns out there is nothing wrong with my car and the oil had most likely come from a rushed oil change. He saved me a ton of money and didn't even charge me for looking at the car. Got some tires done at Double J. He (in his words) "owed" me a free oil change because of a concern I had with their work over the summer--which was probably more a simple oversight. Even though he took care of the problem and I told him it wasn't needed--he remembered all these months that he still "owed" us one. Had him look at some crazy quotes that Carson Honda gave us in September--such as a dead rodent that would cost a few benji's to remove. Nice try. Double J confirmed there was no dead rodent. He also saved us 300 over the summer on a headlight that Washington and Carson Honda wanted to charge 300 for after not fixing it the first time. I'm not mechanic, but I'm also not idiot. I knew it was a wiring issue, they wanted to get a whole new harness. He fixed it for free--tightened a wire--boom. LAST, BTW, he also fixed a super annoying sound in my aunt's car this past summer before she passed. She had been trying to get it fixed for 3 years and paid a bunch of wasted money to Tires Plus for nothing. I tried getting her to rid of the car and stop putting money in it, but she insisted to take it to my mechanic because I liked them so much--just one more thing to be grateful for at Double J. read more
