I begrudgingly went, and to my shock and surprise, it ended with me loving the shoes I got because it feels like I'm walking on clouds. Clouds, clouds, and more clouds... is what I feel... and that's fine by me. The sales approach is completely different from what I've been given, which isn't much of anything, to be honest, and these sales associates know their "shit." They really do, and to be further honest, I think that what other Yelpers have viewed as "rude" or "condescending" was just the sales people ripping apart all preconceived ideas and trying to teach us how to TRULY get properly fit for a shoe, be it for walking or running or whatever. It was an education for sure, and I can see why some would be put off by it. I didn't want to hear some of what they said, but they weren't wrong, either, and my feet are happy once again. He asked questions about my intended use for the shoes and had me try out a few pairs after measuring my feet. He made adjustments and picked different pairs out from the back as I told him how the shoes felt. I landed on the Saucony Guide 19, which was not shoes that I had in mind or come across during my research. But they are super comfy and I love running in them. I want to put that disclaimer out there. During my recent visit, I did see some dresses in the rack that had some rips. Really visible ones and it was shocking. They were on a sale rack but they were visibly and terribly damaged. When we were in the store, no one greeted us or asked us if we needed assistance. I felt a little bothered by this as it did not seem on brand. We were in the store for about an hour and 15 minutes most recently. It may have been that it was about an hour before closing. When the location was closing, the person was very kind on the intercom and it was so nice. I remember being in Saks 5th Avenue a couple of years ago and they were yelling at customers to get out. The kind goodbye without feeling rushed felt like nice hospitality that would make one want to return to shop. Please note this location is on the second floor and an escalator or elevator is offered to arrive on the second level.

We asked Brittany to hold some apparel for us and we went back for the purchase. Today we were greeted once again by the store manager Travis and Chino (professional and easygoing) as well as Cindy (kind and sincere). Travis is an amazing team leader. He ensures his staff stays on their toes delivering highest service but at the same time he creates a friendly atmosphere. We will continue to be regulars here even though it's a trek for us. However, when I went home and checked online for many items, it did seem the store was adding $20 or so to the standard retail price. More than 3 customers constitutes a crowd here, as there are 3 dressing rooms. And 3 sales people. There is a great sales rack in the back, 40 -60 percent off. Reminds me of The Hamptons shops, things in season and not. The women are pleasant at first, hello, helpful -ish...( that looks good) they did hold a few items for me to try on after my appointment. When I returned, they we're definitely more interested in waiting on repeat customers that were heading towards a big bill. I bought one less expensive sale item to the register and the attitude totally changed. I don't even remember a thank you, if these small boutiques would stop trying to intimidate and shame buyers, they would get a lot more walk ins, and repeat NEW customers. I want to go back dressed up and wearing my jewelry, just to see what happens. How childish of ME! But that is the way these type of stores make me feel. And happy I don't live in Woodbury.
