My husband usually goes to Ace once a week for an occasional tool or nuts and bolts. If they don't work out, the staff easily and quickly refunds our money. I go up there whenever I need birdseed or plant stuff. Yesterday Alex helped me with soil for my plants and plant food to mix into the soil to make them thrive. He helped me save money AND he put the five bags of soil in my car's trunk. They have most everything you might need from a hardware store, even though they are a smaller Ace Hardware. They are conveniently located, with lots of parking spaces. We really like shopping here.

I had purchased an electric mower on 05/14/2024. I was assured that if I was not satisfied with the performance they would make it right. I used the mower twice and both times had issues with the battery and the cut. Well I was pleasantly surprised with the return. I spoke to James initially who put me in contact with LD the store manager. When I walked in the mower LD was waiting and made sure the return was done. I have since toll my wife when it comes to shopping we go to ACE from now on. Thank you for giving me back my faith in customer service.

Online, the Tarpon store was the nearest location to New Port Richey that had the set of 3 citronella candles in cute little terracotta dishes. Upon arrival, Kim/sales helped me look for the candles, but nothing on the shelf. She even checked her computer and the candles appeared to be in the store, but perhaps another shopper had picked them up. So, I decided to buy a live citronella plant from the garden center. Sally told me it's easy maintenance, water every other week and the plant would be healthy. I was sold! She could tell that I didn't have a green thumb. I had passed right by the citronella plants and then asked her if the store carried them. She gave me the kindest grin. Well, Kim was my checkout person. She really wanted to make things right! Kim offered to call me as soon as the next shipment arrived. What a pleasant surprise! She also recommended that I download the ACE app to receive $10 off of a future purchase. So, I went home and downloaded the app. Guess what! Kim left me a voice message yesterday that the candles had arrived. Today, I drove to Tarpon to pick up my candle set and used my $10 offer towards my purchase! The plant did take care of the bugs on the front porch and now the cutest candles for the back porch. Ace Hardware's customer service is unmatched by any other hardware store! Ace employees have a way of making you feel that your purchase is an important one!

The hurricanes in tarpon destroyed my families home and also my business, and to make matters worse, my wife an d I were displaced to GA where within a week we were in a bad car accident and I broke my neck and she broke her shoulders amond many other lifelong dibilitating chronic issues. Long story short, during the hurricane I took in my back blower to be fixed and due to the hurricane, that unit was destroyed. Since I was in such a bad accident I was laid up in the hospital and also months afterwards I was bed ridden along with my life. Life turned upside down, fast, and everything gone. We just moved back to tarpon in April, I rekindled my business mentality and decided after a long hiatus I would return to this work. I went into ace today and spoke with the gentlemen who took over Johns position after dear John had passed away during corna virus, and well, he pretty much told me there was nothing I could do. To top it off, he then insinuated that I was a lier and categorized me with another group of "liers" who have come in and "said the same thing as me" Really could have cared less about the blower in reality, even though it should have been at least credited to my account. But after 10 years of purchasing from this store, I could not believe the disrespect. I let the manager know in the front, not to much avail. Still let me walk out totally upset. I made a report with corporate when I originally realized they had my blower after the hurricanes, made a ticket, got a docket number and everything. But I just can not believe the extent I'm having to go in order to get sub standard customer service from a place in which I have revered and spent hard earned dollars with for over 10 years. Totally disrespectful, disrespected, and I cannot just sit and let someone talk badly about my integrity or character. Something needs to be done I have already put a new complaint in with corporate.

I'm putting a new floor in my shed and since i have an SUV not a truck i needed to have the 4 x 8 sheets cut into 2 x 8 to fit in my car. Lowes did mark it at the 24 inch mark but when finished one was one inch lower than the other. That made one at 25 inches and the other at 23 inches. My joists are set at 12 inches so this would not work. I asked for a discount and I would take them. The manager said no so i walked out. I went to Home Depot where they cut the sheets at exactly 24 inches. Finished with my project I tried to return some 2 x 4s to Lowes for a refund. I have a lot of receipts in my box but I could not find that particular one. I asked for a store credit. They refused. They now only give store credits with a receipt. So I guess i'll have to do all my home repair projects from Home Depot. Lowes, any of them - not recommended.
