Jimbo's is a hidden gem in this small town. Friday night is all you can eat catfish. I have had several items on the menu, not disappointed in any of them. Chicken Fried Steak, homemade white gravy. Omelets are amazing with plenty of food for the price. You HAVE TO TRY the homemade onion rings. Kids menu has plenty for them to choose from. I ordered a double cheese burger fully loaded plus onion rings. They were both very good and full of flavor. The service was extremely great. The server was very patient when we were ordering our food. The restaurant is very cozy and extremely clean. I felt at home and we were extremely happy with our visit. I did see one person on Yelp who continues to go back to this location and gives the restaurant poor reviews. Which makes no sense to me. If you don't like the food or service, stop going back. Plus, don't use a fake name on all the reviews . Very sad when people can't be honest and tear down small businesses because they have nothing better to do. How can you mess up breakfast? I got the pirates scramble and it had absolutely no taste. Very poor service, and the food took forever to arrive. If there is a Sonic or McDonald's near by just go there for breakfast. read more

Breakfast here was very good and the lady who served us was great The eggs and bacon were cooked perfect. The pancakes with sugar free syrup was excellent. The restaurant was clean and well organized Good find in a small town. Will definitely dine again when in town. read more

Jimbo's is kind of one of those odd ma and pa dinners in a small town that is sometimes good, sometimes just OK, and at time really bad. They are pretty popular for breakfast and lunch and they tend to run out of things in the menu. Ambiance = backwoods diner experience punctuated with loud cowboy talk. Service tends to be good unless there is a complaint in which case little is done to resolve issues. an example is the time I ate dinner there. i ordered the typical cheeseburger and fries. When I took a bite out of the hamburger, there was something that was not right. Opening it up I found a 2" by 2" piece of cardboard stuck on the bottom of the meat. i called the waitress over and explained what I found and asked her to take it back to get an explanation for why the cardboard was there. The cook just denied that it was there when she cooked that hamburger. The worst part is the waitress brought it back out and set the plate back in front of me cardboard and all. most places would have brought back a new hamburger; but, not this place. i walked out refusing to pay for the meal. Another thing that is odd is that there is a booth in the corner of the dining area that is reserved for and only for the owner at sll times whether he is there or not. nothing like having to wait to be seated in a full diner with a booth that is almost always empty. so if you can deal with the oddness of Jimbo's and like to hear all the good ol' cowboys while have breakfast, the place is OK. I just do not recommend lunch, dinner, or chicken fried steak at breakfast time. read more

Should be renamed "Bimbo's." The food is excellent when finally served. They are always understaffed and now, overpriced on their menu items. The wait time is excessive and the service was a joke. Our server experience would have made a good SNL skit. He was completely dialed out. When I requested a condiment it didn't come until I had almost finished my burger. He was overwhelmed with only two other parties in the restaurant. If you don't mind the excessive wait, over the top food prices, the faded, hard to understand menu, and the joker style wait staff, have at it. The food is very good. read more

At one time this place was awesome and the best hamburgers and pork chops breakfast! I hate to say but now is not good and the last time I eat there I got food poisoning but I will continue to come in time to time to if they get better! I not going to give up on this place but right now I have to be honest and I know it will get better once the owner has a consistent staff and Please don't think Jimbo's can be good like it was before Covid-19 hit ! The food is ok- not much to choose from in Gore- they were skimpy on the serving size and with only one server, it's pretty slow. They're nice and the restaurant appears clean and well kept. I had a burger, tots and a cherry cobbler for dessert that wasn't very good. Next time, I'll schedule my visits around when Sosa Steve's is open. read more

This is a mom and pop dining. The ladies are super nice hospitable. I am from California and rarely experience this. The food is inexpensive and yum. The Pops are in frozen mugs and have crushed iced. Recommend this place :) read more

I was leery of coming here after reading some of the reviews but I like to make my own observations and decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with the service. The waitress was very friendly and ready to take our order not long after we sat down. She was always on top of our drinks making sure they were topped off. The food wait is what I expected at a diner since the food is cooked fresh. The food was very good and exactly what I ordered. The only thing I would say negative is the seats and tables have some wear and tear and could be updated. Overall, very pleased with the service and experience. Will visit again soon. P.S. Incredible. Was just asked in the middle of my meal to get up and move my vehicle so a semi truck driver could change out a semi trailer. Go outside and there's literally 150' of open space next to my truck where the trailer could've been parked. I paid my tab and left. Won't be back and cannot wait to move away from this area where a person who runs a business asks their guest to get up in the middle of their meal to move a vehicle because a semi truck driver can't park in the 150' go open space next to my vehicle. read more

Mother/daughter owned and operated small diner. Very friendly, great food, low prices. Pop is in a frosty mug with crushed ice, the pancakes were fantastic. If there is one negative it's that it takes a long time to get your food. Not the place if you're in a hurry. read more

This is a cute little diner. The staff was kind and helpful. The price is pretty cheap. The food was okay, I ordered the pork chops which came with toast, mashed potatoes and okra. My husband got the fish which came with coleslaw and mashed potstoes and toast. We sampled each others plates and I really loved the coleslaw, but that's about all I liked. I do plan to go back and maybe try out something different, so hopefully it will be better next time. :) read more

Ok this is not the Taj Mahal, it is a cute small town diner. The menu is not extensive but it covers all your basics. My husband had the chicken fried steak with brown gravy and mashed potatoes. Very good! I had the chopped BBQ plate. It was pretty good but kind of goopy. The slaw was very fresh and good. Even though this poor sweet lady seemed to be all by herself other than the cook, she got us and others served in a timely fashion. One of the best things are the prices. Wow cheap! Well go back but I'll try something different. I bet they have a great burger. read more

Jimbos used to be an excellent Restaurant and very clean, but recently when we went in the Restaurant was not clean (as it is usually spotless)...and the Cook came out to the front in a nasty apron...always a turn off. The food....meh....I asked if the Restaurant had been recently sold, but the Waitress explained that the Owner (Mom and Daughter) had a health issue and Daughter is caring for Mom which explains alot. Hope they make it back soon in good health. read more

The food is good if you eat it there. They are very kind and have great customer service and it is always clean but I usually wait quite awhile for my food. Just make sure you aren't in a rush. read more
