Never again....Jimboys has been a family staple growing up. Mom got us kids tacos and French fries at the 29th and N street location. That location never disappointed us! Moving up to the CP I was thrilled to see a Jimboys. I've been here a handful of times and was BEYOND disappointed. Rice under cooked, tacos soaking with grease and don't dare ask for extra packets of sauce. How are they even still in business?? Don't even waste your time or money coming to this location. Owners need to step up their game.

Overall, Jimboy's is a solid eating experience. Their food overall is good, but their basic beef tacos are amazing. The tortillas are slightly fried and crispy and dusted with parmesan, making them pretty unique in the taco fast food realm. Other things are just ok. Bean burritos and chicken tacos, just ok. The "homemade" salsa tastes a lot like marinara sauce. The hot sauce in packets is pretty good. When I'm in the area, I'll stick to a large mess of beef tacos.

Raw tortilla with literally nothing inside

After a long day of work I went through the drive thru at Jimboys Cameron Park. The parking lot and drive thru were empty, I was the only customer. I ordered 6 chicken tacos and drove the 15 minutes home. In the photos, is the nasty garbage I found. Raw tortilla, no Parmesan on the outside of the shell, and literally nothing inside. This is what I was suppose to feed my family. It's not only disgusting, but offensive that they think a paying customer would want to eat this. I phoned Jimboy's twice and each time the phone rang about 20 times with no answer. I threw the 'Tacos' away. I also sent a FB message and email to Jimboy's with no response! I am writing this review because I don't want anyone else to waste their money on food that is not edible.

Lots of rules from someone im paying.

NON SMOKING DRIVE THROUGH, CHARGE TO USE YOUR CARD, NO BILLS OVER 20! Tell me you want to be uninviting without telling me you want to be uninviting. I don't smoke but you don't have the right to tell people not to smoke in their own vehicle. And charge for cards? A patron might overlook these ridiculous statements if the service was prompt. I waited for over 15 minutes with only two cars ahead of me tonight. When I got to the drive-thru order point I asked for the taquitos to which they responded they "were out of queso." I said that's fine I'll just buy the taquitos to which he said, "Oh we're also out of taquitos too." Ill try coming back in a few months and see if they got any better and hopefully to amend my review and give them a higher rating. If not I won't return. Jimboy's franchise owner, try and create a more welcoming environment without passive aggressive notes. Try and speed up your window time and try to keep items you have on you have on the menu board in stock. Good luck.

3/2/2019: JT STAFF SHORTED MY ORDER! Unhappy!
    Shirley M. F.

3/2/2019: I ordered the Steak Asada dinner platter for $11.95 plus, 87-cents sales tax=$12.82. Upsettingly, the staff shorted my order-they only gave me ONE FLOUR TORTILLA WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO GIVE ME TWO FLOUR TORTILLAS; plus, the food portions were meager-a dollop of refried beans, two meager, minuscule dollops of Steak Asada, LOADED up more with the Spanish Fried Rice, and slopped lettuce on top of everything covering up the heinous crime committed! As a result, egregiously shorting my dinner order, I became highly disappointed, livid, and unhappy eating this SLOP. Worse-I forgot checking my order before leaving the drive-through window . . . What an absent-minded Brain Fart! DOH! Moreover, I discovered the shortage upon arriving home ready to inhale the Steak Asada platter . . . Hey~Where's the other tortilla, ehhh? I rifled through the entire Jimboy's Taco's plastic bag turning the bag inside out: ZILCH, nada, zippo-MIA flour tortilla!!!! Why I oughta return to Cameron Park giving the staff my grievances! Regardless, I had to eat the remaining, meager, food portion with my yogurt silicone spoon due to Jimboy's Taco Staff shorting my order! I won't return to THIS Jimboy's Taco location-EVER.

We were told they don't receive the order until 10min before the pickup time. We placed the order at 5:31p.

This is the worse JimBoy's I have ever been to. I will never come here again. We've had less than stellar service from them before - mostly with our orders being wrong or late. But today was absolutely ridiculous. We placed an order through their app at 5:30p with a pickup time of 6:10. When we pull in, we notice that the dining area is closed with a sign indicating the drive thru was open. We get in line at 6:10. It takes 10min to get to the ordering window. We let them know we have a mobile order and was told that it was scheduled to be picked up at 6:30. We let them know that our receipt shows 6:10 and the cashier rudely responded with "we can show the receipt that says 6:30" - We ask what we're suppose to do because there are cars behind us so we can't back our. She told us to stay in line. 10min later (It's now 6:30) we get to the pickup window where we are told that our order will be another 15min. We show her our receipt and she shows us one with a different time and claims that the online system is glitchy and they tried to call us - they never did. We are told to pull to the front and we wait for about 5min and decide to get back into the drive thru and just ask for a refund. We ask to speak to the manager at the window and it's now 6:45. We explain that we have waited an extremely long time and that we were never notified about the delay. We asked for a refund and was told by the manager that she could not do anything with an online order. We had to go to "online" to get a refund. We called once we got home and tried to get specifics on How to get a refund because there was nothing on the app or online to process refunds. The manager - she told us her name was Maria - told us we had a file a complaint online and someone would get back to us. She refused to give us her boss's name or contact him. We will be contacting the owners. Wish we could give this place 0 stars. We were always waiting longer for our orders and many of our mobile orders were incorrect previous to this. It is clear that management is lacking!! Don't eat here!!!

    Two greasy tacos. Nasty!

Today I stopped for a super burrito. They don't make that any longer. Requested taquitos. They were out. Ordered two tacos. When I got home and opened the bag there were two tacos that had at least 1/2 cup of grease between the two. Totally disgusting. I don't plan to return to this location. They're just too bad, too often.

Combo plate with Beef Enchilada, Rice and Refried Beans. Does it look yummy????
    Cathie B.

Decided to get Jimboys today and was excited to get my order but opened up my food box and saw this. Cheese and rice everywhere and everything was dry. No sauce on Enchilada. Husband is a Chef and he was mad about this. I know the owner Michael and he would be disappointed. I called the store and Maria said I was overcharged. I got my money reimbursed.

That was not a good feeling, but then he also did not speak English well. He messed up three of the four items we ordered and of course they all cost more than what we ordered. When we got the bill and told him, he got the cook and we were able to settle everything out easily. We were told that the owner's wife was out so he was serving. We were happy to hear that his serving was temporary :). I am not sure if we received the lunch item or dinner item because our bill was wrong, but I ordered the chile verde chimichanga which comes with rice and beans. It was hot and fresh and absolutely delicious! My partner had the bean and cheese lunch and he loved it as well. The salsa was flavorful and mild. All of the food was mild so next time I will ask for some spice! The restaurant is a good size and festive looking. It was clean and comfortable and the prices were good! We can't wait to go back!

Lastly, we ordered 2 carne asada tacos and the meat was also burnt black and dark brown bits, no lime served on the side for these. After leaving a 25% tip online we'd hoped to have an enjoyable meal but we were disappointed. Also surprised at whoever packaged the food, letting it be served in that condition was concerning. Shoutout to Shingle Springs, CA. Delicia Restaurant…read more This small family owned and operated Mexican restaurant captured my heart after every minute passed while dining and after every bite. It was my first time here. The welcoming vibe, clean and simply quaint interior, very cool family staff, comforting yummy food and pricing made it a 5 star for me. I ordered the carne asada plate $18 that came with beans and rice. Mmm. Delicious. The meat had flavor, nicely cooked. Easy to cut with the typical restaurant steak knife( which you and I know isn't really a steak knife) but I'm saying this to make a point of the quality and tenderness of the carne asada. Refried beans and rice were on point, great flavor and consistency. But those beans were so good, I'm still thinking about them. Plus I had no after effects (chuckle) which means they were prepared well. The entree came with tortillas and condiments of chopped onion, cilantro, cream, gauc, and limes which not alot of restaurants provide. The entree was served on a warm plate. Nice touch pro touch. The chips are complimentary and self serve. The chip warmer is near the register. They provide the red salsa to your table. The chips tasted fresh and had a crispness. It held up after a bite and didn't fall apart. The salsa was phenomenal OMG yum, beautiful color, rich flavor. Mmm. Hubs ordered a tamale. $7.50. It was a good size, bigger than what I thought it would be. Check the photo I posted. That too was served on a warmed plate. The red sauce was OMG delicious. They give a generous serving of sauce. But you'll eat it all with the biggum tamale. Now to address the elephant in the room. (1) Since it's family operated and small staffed, that comes with potential wait times. Not loooong waits in service but not instantaneous either. In a fast paced world, even initially I thought 5 minutes was an eternity between seeing our server before I actually realized it was only less than 5 minutes. I survived and didn't collapse due to dehydration of not having my water glass refilled. Momentarily not having fresh napkins doesn't fall under survival skills. Possible wait time is mentioned in the menu. (2) The last seating is 30 minutes before the closing time. This is also mentioned on their menu.

If you're in a hurry, this may not be the best choice, but if you have a little patience, the food is well worth it. As we were sitting waiting for our food, a server came over on two separate occasions with the wrong food, asking who had what. Not a big deal, they obviously had the wrong table, no biggy, but it looks unprofessional. The vibe is always nice in there, very friendly and inviting. Then they finally brought our food out, and gave me my chimichanga, with a nice spread of avocado on the top. The issue? I specifically ordered it WITHOUT avocado or guacamole. It even said so on the receipt. But by that point I was starving, so I scraped it off and started eating. The pork inside was tasty, BUT I ORDERED CARNE ASADA. So in the end, I did not get what I ordered whatsoever. And as a side note, I've noticed the portion sizes vary each time I've come in, but this was by far the skimpiest portion I've ever gotten.
