If you choose to sit outside, you have your option of sitting next to a busy parking lot or sitting on the side, where there is some machine that has an annoying regular high toned beep. The waitress, when we asked to move, acknowledged that they were aware of how annoying the beep was, but indicated that it was too complicated to do what was necessary to turn it off. The omelette was just okay, but the "sausage" looked and tasted suspiciously like canned ham, and the meal, overall, was not worth the $16 (before tax and tip) it cost. My friend had the veggie omelette and said it was good, but even a simple veggie omelette was $15. If the food were excellent, I would not complain paying that much, but it was far from that. read more

If massive bottomless mimosas are what you fancy, then this is your spot! We've only eaten there once and it was for brunch, but everything ordered was delicious. From decadent Belgian waffles suffused with whipped cream and berries, Eggs Benedict, and a variety of omelettes, pancakes and similar breakfast dishes, there's something for everyone. With indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff was very friendly (and even though they were extremely busy and seemed a little understaffed were apologetic for the delay in food delivery), it felt like the good old Mom and Pop style diners of yesteryear. read more

Four of us had breakfast and this restaurant nailed it. Great food, good portions and excellent service. I had the sausage and eggs. Asked for crispy hashbrowns and they delivered. My wife asked for the house potatoes, and she loved them. It was nice to see the bell peppers and onions sauteed to perfection instead of sitting there cold and hard on the plate. We were visiting the area. Found this establishment on Yelp. We love supporting local restaurants. It was a huge mistake! I order the steak and eggs with bagel with cream cheese. I wanted my steak rare, which was medium instead. The steak didn't taste fresh. I had bagel with cream cheese and when I was spreading the cream cheese on the first half of the bagel, it looked fine. But the taste weird so didn't think much of it. Then I tried to spread the rest of the cream cheese on the other half of my bagels. Wtf! There was MOlD on the cream cheese. I flagged the waiter and let him know. My mistake was not taking a photo of the molded cream cheese. Showed the waiter and told him discreetly so another patrons would not hear it. Waiter took it back to the kitchen and show the owner (I guess). They didn't apologize or offer to replace it with something else. By this time I was feeling sick. Hubby asked for the check. When the check arrived, waiter didn't even apologize. They only took couple of dollars off the check. It's poor customer service and probably afraid to acknowledge their wrong doing by not serving FRESH ingredients to customers. Do not recommend this place at all! If you want to take a chance and eat moldy food, dine here and get sick. read more

Went for the first time during lunchtime on a Sunday. I ordered the steak burrito for $15.99. The menu says it includes a 10 ounce steak. There was a good amount of steak but not sure it was 10 ounces worth. I asked if it could be made to order and the waiter said yes, but it was cooked well instead of medium. And it wasn't because it heated up in the burrito because the packaged shredded cheese had not melted at all. It came with guacamole which was in desperate need of salt and 4 tortilla chips which were nice and crunchy. The "sauce" was on the side but wasn't very tasty so I did not use. Overall it was tasty, but I would not order it again. My grandson ordered a strawberry waffle for $13.99. It was lacking in fresh strawberries and had a big. ball of butter which did not melt at all on top. Also had a drizzle of strawberry sauce or syrup and came with a small amount of maple syrup. He liked it but I thought it looked pathetic and kind of resented paying $13.99 for it. Also wasn't a fan of the lemonade my grandson ordered for $3.49. I tasted it and it had no fresh lemon to be found. It was def made from a mix. We were able to avoid the 20 minute wait (place was packed on Sunday) and sat in one of the booths outside. Luckily the booth is in front of windows and the staff helped us right away. I must say the service was very good! Looking at the food at other tables, it all looked pretty good. I would maybe go back and try it again when wanting that type of food at a diner type place. read more

I ordered the buffalo fried chicken sandwich. Love that it wasn't doused in buffalo sauce. The red onion added a nice bite. Tater tot's were a little over done, super crispy all over and almost inside too. BD and kiddo ordered eggs with hashbrowns and 12 oz ham. BD thought it was ok, could get this food anywhere else and closer to home. Kiddo wanted the ham to be thinner bc he likes those crispy bits and this ham had hardly any color. Pancakes were DELICIOUS. Fluffy buttery and doesn't have that overcooked burnt look or taste that I hate with pancakes. Really happy I ordered this. This was a nice little find on the way home from Tahoe. We usually stop in Cameron Park for gas but we were hungry and decided on Rey Mimosa for brunch. Very spacious diner with indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated very quickly and orders taken. I had 2 pancakes and my wife had a strawberry waffle. Food came out within 5 minutes and the servings were very large. Basically expect your plate to be full. (Pictures attached) The strawberry waffle was very good. Flavors on point and the strawberries were sweet. The pancakes were ok. They were fluffy but tasted slightly burnt. The pancakes weren't burnt themselves but they tasted that way. I'm wondering if they were cooked on part of the griddle that wasn't fully cleaned and picked up the burnt flavor. Prices were reasonable and the service was very good. Only minus one star for the flavor of the pancakes. I'll come back next time and order something different. read more
