Most of the employees were fantastic - those who were not made it a miserable experince all the way around. I've had 11 surgeries in 9 years and I needed kind support as I'm now aging and disabled. I have been to many physical therapy places in Fresno and this is by far the best one. The doctor explained every single detail to me, and told me why he was doing it and what I could expect. Very professional, very accommodating to my needs. What impressed me as much was the total cleanliness. New towels, new pillow cases, employees walking around sanitizing the equipment. Front desk was very efficient. Overall I was very impressed with the entire experience. I don't know which brother helped me, but he did a great job. read more

Unlike other physical therapists (where you're lucky to get more than a few minutes with the PT), these local brothers (Mike and Jim, both physical therapists) give their best - their time, expertise, and honest good old-fashioned "hands on" physical therapy. After my total knee replacement, I worked with Mike: professional, personable, available and helpful. I couldn't have asked for more. But don't get me wrong...you STILL gotta do the work. I currently go here for my physical therapy. They have friendly and knowledgeable staff who guide you through the process. It works for me because it's a block from the bus stop on First Street. I broke my foot months ago and came here and within three weeks they have me almost back to normal range of motion and walking without a walker again. If you're in need of physical therapy, this place is hard to beat. From the office staff to the interns, everyone is friendly and professional. I recently completed a two month term with them and I couldn't be more pleased. I was given excellent advice (which I followed). I got acquainted with the entire staff, and they are all first rate. Scott was particularly helpful. You never have to wait in this office. My standing joke is that I've been trying to read the same article from one of those weekly publications for six weeks, as they keep calling me back before I can get through the first page! Jimenez PT was my first stop for physical therapy two years ago, & it's the only place I'll go. I told my doctor about my lower back pain, & she offered NSAIDs. I declined & asked for a fix: she referred me to Jimenez. It was the best recommendation I have received since moving to the Fresno area (Clovis) in 2014! Your first encounter is with reception & billing. They do careful research for you about insurance coverage before they even contact you to set up your first appointment. Pro tip: check your coverage to see if you have any money in your HRA: it'll help you save more money out-of-pocket. The ladies there are polite, efficient and very knowledgeable. They're also ultra-attentive: they know who you are when you walk in, because I assume they actually check the daily schedule multiple times throughout the day (name ONE Fresno area doctor's office that does that, & I'll switch to them immediately). You'll also notice a spacious, open and clean facility when you walk in. Plenty of equipment to help you in whatever you ail from: bike/treadmill, tables for stretches, exercise balls, resistance machines/bands, ultrasound therapy, electrical stimulation therapy (those patches they put on your muscles that tingle) & other stuff. It's a "no cell phone" zone, so they offer lockers for your stuff. The PT staff is who you meet next. The place is owned by the Jimenez brothers, who are both PTs. Both have been practicing for years, & they really pay attention to your issue(s). They know a lot about the body. Their assistants are great, too: constantly moving from patient to patient as timers for exercises/stretches/therapy go off. Two big screens with sports on; they'll play the local news in mornings/midday, sound on. When you go, expect to spend between 1 and 1.5 hours there, per visit. It's well worth it, as long as you give 100% (like a quote from their father reads on one of the walls). Healing/strengthening the body takes time, and it's worth the investment. Had I used some of the exercises/stretches they taught me the first time around at home, I wouldn't have had to come back two years later, for the same back pain issue. I also recommend you ask questions: what should I be doing at home, & throughout the week when I'm not at PT? They'll be honest, because I sincerely feel they're there to help. Their hours might seem limited for some shift workers here in the Fresno area (example: the office is only open half-day on Fridays; regular business hours Monday-Friday), but their hours work for me, because I make the hours work (I'm a shift worker, not an 8-to-5). A final note: I notice more of the older generation in there, doing work to improve their strength & diminish pain. I'm nearing my mid-30's, & I think more of our age group should start going to PT when stuff hurts, if a doctor thinks it's a good idea. My unsolicited advice: don't wait to take care of your body until it's late in the game! My PT only lasts a few weeks, twice a week, then it's back to normal. PT is a much better option than pain meds that don't help fix the problem. read more

First off let me say the staff here was excellent. They took time and worked with me, the were exceptionally friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. They also greeted me by name every time I went in. Plus at the time I was training for the Tour de Fresno and because of the 3 months I spent there I was able to complete 40/48 mile ride where before I couldn't go more than 10 miles before my knee was completely wasted. That said, Their billing is beyond terrible. I went there for 3 months. I was NEVER asked to pay a copay, and I asked often because I hate getting surprises in the mail. I was also NEVER sent a single bill in the mail, so I was under the impression it was fully covered by my insurance. Who wouldn't right? Well today out of the clear blue sky I get a call from a collection agency. The amount due wasn't exorbitant, but sending me to collections without so much as a courtesy phone call or bill in the mail is not forgivable. That's no way to treat your customers. I would have HAPPILY paid a copay per visit, like every other doctor, dentist, chiropractor or any other health care provider out there. I wish this wasn't the case. I would have loved to give them a 4 or 5 star review but this blemish is far to serious to be overlooked. You can't heal someones body with the left hand then cripple their credit rating with the right. read more

Jimenez Jimenez physical therapy has been around for about 20 to 25 years I personally have been going there for 21 years Michael and James Jimenez are the owners and over the years have provided fantastic service to me I have had 15 surgeries and have been to them for therapy for everyone that needed physical therapy James or Michael will go through your initial visit with you explain everything to you about your injury answer all your questions and are very very helpful I don't know what I would've done without their help I did go to one other therapy center a few years ago just to see the difference and there was no comparison that Therapy center was a one compared to attend at Jimenez and I don't say this just because I like the owners and they're very kind to everyone they really work one on one with you and I'll serve their staff is great they help you as much as you can they set you up explain what to do how to do it and answer all your questions I just can't say enough good about this physical therapy center I hope whoever reads this will take a chance and go there when they need physical therapy it's not a giant facility but it's not a very small facility they make enough time to help everyone that goes in there it's very comfortable and very informal and I also have a lot of fun meeting new people all the time so whoever reads this I hope you give them a chance they're great and I would recommend anybody to go to them in fact they have over 15 people and they've all enjoyed it thanks for reading Carol moreno read more

Jimenez Physical Therapy has helped me considerably with my recovery from Achilles' tendon surgery, this is the third time I've been to them for PT. First was my shoulder, then my back and now for my ankle. I won't go anywhere else if I need it again. Michael is very knowledgeable about helping people get over injuries or surgery. My Primary Doctor referred me here to receive physical therapy from this location. I have no complaints but gratitude for the service all the therapist provide. They focus on certain treatments to help alleviate pain for my lower back. I appreciate their professional help and guidance to assist and share with me other methods with functional and proper exercise movement to help strengthen my core muscles as well as performing correct and proper stretches. I would definitely go back to this location if I were to have any sort off physical issues. They really take the time to listen and try to figure out the problem. This was the worst PT clinic hands down I have ever been a patient at or ever worked in. The aides do not ensure patient safety. After telling patients what to do they walk off and if you need help you almost have to trip someone to get help. The aide to patient ratio was 1:7 on the worst days. I was hooked up to the wrong modality because the aide didn't know the difference. Gait training consisted of my being paraded around the gym without instruction in what I needed to be concentrating on. They were just working on the $45 reimbursement for taking me on one lap around the small gym. Mike was usually MIA and I had James a couple times. I tried to ask him a question a couple times but he never let me finish my question. He kept talking and cutting me off so I gave up thinking it was pointless to try. I went back to Physiomotion where they are more knowledgable, have better equipment and a much better staff. The receptionist never smiled in the couple months I was there. Sometimes never spoke either. Come to think of it, no one looked happy there. read more

I've had severe back problems for years. Michael was able to relieve most of my pain and now I'm able to function like a normal human being. Unlike physical therapists I've experienced in the past, Michael doesn't give what I've always considered textbook exercises. Instead, he accommodated my needs with utmost attention. Michael was recommended to me by my sister. I needed rehab after shoulder surgery. He and his entire staff are highly professional and extremely knowledgeable. They knew exactly what I needed to do and guided me through it. I was a little out of my element, but the staff never let me feel awkward. They were always there to help and guide me with whatever I needed to do. I actually got kinda hooked, and plan to continue my strength exercises at the gym. Not Bad but Not Great Either... Pros: Knowledgeable, friendly, helped my recovery. Cons: Noticed a tendency for the staff to mill about and talk among each other rather than stay active helping clients. Also PT would ask questions regarding treatment and while I was answering jump over to another conversation with another person, often not even about treatment but just chit-chat. I would say you can do worse in a PT establishment but probably could do better, too read more

Not very impressed with some staff members, especially a female aide. During my therapy time, about a week ago, one the Aides kept interrupting my time with my PT James to just chit chat, which was very unprofessional in my opinion. Then as i asked him a question, he starts talking about something totally different instead of concentrating on me and my issue. He was more concerned about his night plans and texting on his phone then dealing with me. I had called after my appointment to speak to James about it and the receptionist was just really rude and said he is too busy and that my observation was absurd.. Again not very professional. I called back the next day to talk to the other owner, which is his brother, but again i was told he was busy and I have yet to receive a phone call back from either James or the other owner. Obviously, their receptionist is not doing her job or I would've received a phone call back and everyone needs to go to the PTBC website, which i should have done prior to my appointment.
