The customer service here is incredible! I live alone and I have been sick the delivery drivers in the area have been slim. When I called the store to check and see if drivers would be available shortly, the manager quickly offered to personally deliver an order to me! Process is very easy online, and the delivery was here within about 15 minutes during the peak hours of lunch. Very friendly folks and even got some comments about my shirt. I do wear some great Hawaiian shirts! I asked some questions about the different sandwiches and the young lady helping me was very nice. Got a large sub and specifically told them what I wanted on it, like exact ingredients. The sub was wrong (14.75 sub mind you) They had added tomato and cucumber. As they were wrapping it I told them sorry I didn't want those on there. There only comment was oh sorry it comes that way. They did not offer to take them off or make a new one. I had to unwrap it and take them off myself. Then it took a minute to get their attention to get a napkin to throw away what was not wanted on the sub. This was my first time in this place on my way to work. When I walked in my first impression I was it's gona be like Jim and Nicks or Firehouse sub's but they actually have their own signature style. When I walked in I was greeted nicely by the workers, the atmosphere was super clean to the point I got the impression that it was a brand new location but the worker said no. The location was so well cleaned and organized and not over crowded at all like a lot of other restaurant's which I hate because usually If too busy or crowded I'll make a dash and quickly leave... At this location I was actually able to sit down and eat in peace without feeling crowded or rushed. I was especially impressed at the affordable cost and that the sub tasted really fresh. I ordered the Italian night club. I thought for sure it would be expensive but it wasn't. The only thing I could point out that I noticed was different was they didn't have any different varieties of bread via organic bread or whole grain but again that would probably make them too similar to their competitors Subway or Firehouse... I walked in, door open, lights on, all food uncovered and readily accessible (clearly open) and I ask for a single $15 sandwich (enough to cover the whole last hour of the worker's wages) and she tells me they are closed. So she didn't have the 120 seconds to make me a freaky fast sub to make me happy and her boss the money the girl was hired to make. Nothing was put away or shut down, she was just lazy. In my 18 years of cooking professionally (a service industry), I've never seen lazy performed on that level. If she was one of my cooks, I would have fired her on the spot and made the sandwich myself and apologized by giving it away. Its so sad that some people can live their lives being content being crap at what they do. How can this lady stand there for the whole hour and take the pay for it, and then not make the last sandwich of the day before she STARTS breaking down the line. If everything was already half put up, I would not care- I wouldn't want her to get stuff back out. Not the case. Lazy to the point of grotesque. A friend and I tried to order subs online during their buy one, get one 50% off sale. The JJ website was not working so we called the store. We spoke to Chris and told him what happened. He put us on hold and checked with someone else. When he came back he said he could take our orders over the phone. We both gave Chris our orders and he told us it would be 10 minutes. We paid and picked up the orders through the drive up window. After we drove away, we checked our receipts and realized we had been charged the regular rate. We did not receive the 50% off discount on either order. Not only that, all four sandwiches were wrong! I sent an email to Jimmy John's Corporate office explaining what happened and attached the receipt. I received an email back the following day saying this store on Savannah Hwy was a privately owned franchise and that they had sent my email on to the owner. I never heard anything back. I understand that mistakes happen but when you make a mistake, you apologize and fix it! I just wanted my 50% discount refunded. Instead, I never received any acknowledgement at all. That tells me how little you actually care about your customers. What should have been a simple $10.00 refund has cost Jimmy John's two customers as neither of us will ever eat here again. I visited this location twice on my trip to Charleston for business and I really like eating here for lunch as the employees seem to be on their game. My second visit was for dinner and I ate in instead of going thru the drive thru. The sandwich I ordered was a lot different than the same sandwich I ordered for lunch. Although I was the only person in the restaurant the employees really acted as though it was a huge chore just to take my order order. The other thing for me that so ridiculous is the fact that JJ's just like Subway acts so cheap that they cannot even put napkins out for their patrons!!! You have to ask for them. The other thing that was off putting was that all the signage inside the store was a combination of Socialism propaganda with all the "How much is enough" signage mixed with Corporate pep talk, to how be a better person signage. My order was late 1, when driver realize he brought me incorrect order he walked away without ever saying anything. I waited 45 mins I called them and the guy that picked up the phone had not much more to say to me than YUP when I asked about my order. Then some other guy brought my order 20 min after the fact., then half hour the 1st driver came back with a bag of "chips" .... I didn't ask for it, they must of forgot it.
