This place is amazing! I love a good sandwich and during my lunch break I decided to try Mozzo. My friend had recommended it, but I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Upon walking in, I saw they had a great selection of classic sandwiches with various bread options. The service was excellent and patient as I reviewed the menu. I chose the Dig the Fig, which was piled high with pastrami and a thick spread of fig preserves on ciabatta. The sandwich was a bit pricey at around $13, but considering the amount of filling and the quality of the bread, I completely understood the price. I also tried their Iced Green Tea with Honey, which was so delicious it has inspired me to make it at home. It was really refreshing on a hot day and had just the right amount of sweetness. Pleasant location, so when I moved up the street from the downtown one, I figured it would be the same quality. After four visits, I can say this is easily the worst Mozzo I've ever been to. The food just isn't made well. * The chicken Caesar wrap was not good. * The roast beef sandwich barely had any meat on it. * The Mother Bird has been the best thing I've had here, and it was still only a 6/10. * Overall, everything feels under-filled and thrown together. But the final straw was this morning. I ordered two bagels: * one not toasted with a side of cream cheese * one toasted with butter After waiting 10 minutes for two bagels, they brought out the wrong thing -- a toasted bagel with cream cheese. Then, instead of fixing their mistake, they charged me again for the second bagel. And when it came out, they had burned it. I literally paid extra for a burnt bagel because of their error. Customer service was not just bad -- it was nonexistent. If you mess up an order, you fix it, you don't charge the customer again. That's basic. At this point, I honestly don't know if I'll keep going to the Mt. Pleasant Mozzo either, because this location left such a bad taste in my mouth. But I can say for sure: I will never be coming back to this Mozzo again. read more

I was thrilled to find a place that served muffuletta sandwiches! After seeing Yelp reviews, I was excited to come here. It's a popular shop. No dining inside but you can quickly 'ale your order and sit on the sunny patio. We ordered and it took over 30 minutes to get our sandwich. We watched other people come and go and stare at us as we sat in seats waiting for food. We figured once we ordered, we would eat and go. We finally got our sandwiches but had to leave since we only had an hour for lunch. We sat down to eat lunch offsite and my sandwich was dry. Only one tablespoon of the olive tapenade. I fell in love with Mozzo Deli when my husband brought my a honeyslide sandwich, to my job, for lunch. The relationship was not mutual as the 2nd time he came by, it came on a weird bun despite me asking for white bread. These sandwiches are not cheap, so I gave it to coworkers and pumpkin seeds is what held me till I went home for did dinner. 3rd time, did not receive a honeyslide nor did it come on white bread. 4th time, honeyslide not on white bread, 5th time, asked husband to just put it on a Croissant, they finally got it right yet it was still messed up as most of the bottom of the croissant was rock hard. No joke, rock hard, not edible and pulling that part off, took a good bit of what little I had left. My husband was so mad he said we had to finally call to complain, called on Friday, manager was out, left message with a worker and never heard back. Plenty of spaces to park while picking up which is always appreciated for convenience. I ordered the Gaucho sandwich on ciabatta bread. It is a really good roast beef sandwich with chimichurri sauce and gooey delicious cheese. However, I've gotten food here more times than I can count on my hand and I have been consistently disappointed. The majority of my orders have been messed up (and that's without modifications or minimal modifications). And, I routinely have had to wait 25+ minutes for a sandwich. I know they get a lot of online orders, but I will watch people order after me and get their food before me. Friend recommended this place for breakfast sandwiches. The first couple of times that i visited the food was good, as well as the prices. However, the past few times I've had a very poor experience. Specifically, the homefries have been very undercooked, and at the same time the bacon was over cooked - almost burnt. I gave it a last shot today but they disappointed once more. It took 50 minutes for me to get my food and only because I finally went inside to ask for an update on when it would be ready 15 minutes after it said it would online. I've only ever been to the downtown location, which is super small inside and gives off unpretentious local deli vibes. We ordered our food to go and went to eat by the docks, which was definitely the move. With so many beautiful spots downtown, you can grab your food and find a good view. My egg and cheese sandwich was amazing. It's defiantly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in Charleston. The parking lot was pretty small, but they crank the orders out quickly so there's usually a spot that opens up quickly. The location downtown is easy to get to, and the food is great. Hot Roast Beef, Muenster Cheese, Frizzled Onions & Dijonnaise ( Frizzled Onions are Super Thin Cut, Dredged in Seasoned Flour and Quick Fried) on ciabatta bread. I'm from Mount Pleasant and I love Mozzo deli there! I had no idea they had this little jewel right around the corner from my sons apartment! He needed a ride to the store and then to school so I stopped by and we both got a fat boy! I have never had that but my son said it was good, so I got one on chiabatta bread and he got one on ryegrass ! Absolutely delicious!!
