The restaurant was clean, the young lady taking my order was nice, patient and helpful. There were many specials to choose from. The desserts look terrific. I may try one before I go. Don't sleep on the coconut cake, it was great. I love that on Thursday nights they do kids eat free with an adult meal. I got the Philly, the kids got a turkey sandwich (they split it, is the perfect size for my two to split), and then we got coconut cake. I was most thankful for one of the workers, Scott. We were close to closing and I had asked if it was okay to still order... I hate to do that, I've worked in restaurants before and I know... but I also didn't want to go home and cook for hangry tiny humans. We typically order from the Dorchester location, but they couldn't deliver to our staff retreat which was near Henry Techlinburg area so we had to order from the West Ashley-Avondale restaurant. NEVER AGAIN will we order from this location. I placed the online order for 43 lunches three days in advance of delivery and the restaurant accepted the order through EZ cater. The day of the delivery I received a call at 10:45 from the delivery driver stating he's at East Bay and they don't have our order ready. Deliver time was set for 11am. I was told it would be 45 min late. It ended up being 30 min late, but 17 lunches were missing when the order arrived. I called East Bay to inform them and they told me they would deliver our remaining order. It finally arrives 20 minutes later, but the order is wrong again and this was delivered by East Bay staff member. We are Still missing two lunches, and they also brought 3 lunches that didn't belong to us. I feel sorry for the customers that ordered those, because I'm sure they were upset they didn't receive them. The staff member didn't stick around to see if the order was right, or we would of given the wrong lunches back to them.I called East Bay again and spoke with the manager who apologized profusely and said they would make it right and give us a discount on our order. The final two orders were delivered around 12:35 pm by East Bay. When I received the receipt for our order, we were charged full price. No discount. I patiently waited 4 days to see if a credit would be received or at least a phone call from East Bay.. crickets! I called East Bay Avondale location to follow-up and was told they would take care of it and a manager would call me back. Nothing!!! I just called again and was told because we used Ez cater they were not going to give any credit, and to call the corporate office. This is ridiculous!! The manager didn't even have the guts to speak with me on the phone to even apologize. I would of happily went to their location to work it out, but they didn't even offer. Don't use this location for catering!!! We will never use them again. read more

I was excited to try this new place, but I was very disappointed when I got my order. My fruit was very, very soggy and old as well as the sprouts that are barely on there. I said no tomato. They ignored that and you know tomato seeps into everything I called just to let them know and he argued that he cut the fruit fresh this morning. We were in town for a soccer tournament. We all have eaten here before.so we thought we would grab lunch before the game. We were there early, no lines we didn't order anything special but after 45 minutes we still hadn't eaten anything other people were served but nothing, we thought our food was sitting on the counter but we still hadn't gotten anything. The two girls working the counter were not doing anything. Finally we got some lunch but we didn't get to eat because the soccer tournament was getting started. In all are lunch bill was 100.00 and we didn't get all are food. Will not be back. There are to many great restaurants in mt Pleasant. I have stopped going to a restaurant that used to be one of my favorites due to the declining quality and the upward direction of prices. One baked potato eight dollars a small container with maybe a teaspoon of butter and a teaspoon of sour cream. Had to be sent back twice to be heated. The last two tuna sandwiches were some of the worst tasting I've ever had. It's hard to mess up a tuna sandwich, but they sure don't taste good anymore.. Consistent low pay brings you a different crew every week of untrained teenagers. I always drink hot water with lemon, but there's not a Lemon in the place now. I enjoy their dishes; however, sometimes, the food quality is a hit or miss. For example, I am a fan of the chicken Caesar wrap. When I order it, the chicken doesn't always taste fresh inside the wrap, and the fries are stale, cold, and old. It's happened a few times. In one order, I will get fresh chicken and crisp fresh fries; the next, it will be stale, and the chicken tastes older. I still order here, but I always wonder if I will get fresh ingredients. I got the Citadel per cashier recommendation as a popular go to item. The sandwich came with plain chips and other options are an up charge. I saw a post about the devils food cake which is a rich chocolate cake with a piece of cheesecake in it. An absolute must try! It's a huge slice so definitely had to split it into 2 servings. Convenient location close to downtown Charleston, this deli offers great sandwiches and an excellent salad bar. The salad bar isn't self serve anymore which is a bummer but at least it's clean and delicious. A lot of parking and an expansive patio make it perfect for lunch.
