I had the Ultimate Italian and it was excellent.... crispy bread, hot savory meat, and fresh veggies that really hit the spot. The staff was friendly and quick, which made the whole visit easy and pleasant. The only thing I missed was the "Free Smells" I used to look forward to when walking in. Came here with my son and ordered the new Beefy Black and Bleu sandwich (nothing special annnnd they told me they ran outta of the sauce so I had to substitute for something else) and the Club Lulu (bacon and turkey, but again nothing special). It is cheap for the portion that you get, but it's not an amazing sandwich to where I'd be like, "I'm craving for Jimmy Johns." I may have to try another type of sandwich to get another opinion. Whenever we are in town, this location has been our go-to! We came in closer to the evening for a quick bite! The dinning area is well kept and clean. The bathroom isn't so bad either! In the bathroom it has fun facts on the walls to read. Chelsea made our sandwiches and she is super friendly and awesome! She made our sandwich extremely fast when we order. The food quality of this place has always been consistent and we are always happy to rely on this location whenever we are in the mood for a quick bite to eat! read more

My family LOVES JJ's, and this location is right down the street from the baseball fields where both of my sons play, so often times we end up here after our 730p game, which puts us walking in around 930 or so. Twice now we've been chased out because we want to eat inside and they want to close between 9:55-10p. I'm sorry, but as a business owner, when you have repeat customers that are in there weekly, and you see that they are almost done eating, is it good management or judgement to literally MAKE them throw their stuff away or pack up just so you can peace out? Whatever. These dudes come across as rude because we want to actually sit down with our kids for a few min after baseball. South College Station is mainly families and not filled with college students, Where's that family friendly Aggie feel that most other places have? I assure you, freebirds employees would sit there with us and hang out for an hour after closing if we chose to stay that long. THATS how they will continue to earn our repeat business. read more

I've always had a good experience here! My husband and I come often and get our sandwiches to go. Some people just don't like the jimmy johns sandwich but we honestly throughly enjoy them! They are amazingly fast with your order! The Italian is our personal favorite! And you MUST add the hot peppers! They will change your experience!! Also, we enjoy getting a dill pickle with ours- it costs extra but it's an entire pickle and they can cut it either in 4ths or half! read more

So. Jimmy johns. It's certainly not the best sandwich shop but it's the best we can get in terms of a chain. The sandwich bread I really enjoyed. It's sadly the best part of the sandwich next to the hot peppers. The bread was firm with a little toughness and a touch of bitterness like a sourdough bread. The "Vito" which is an Italian sub anywhere else had very little meat. Which sadly is the norm. The meat is slice "onion skin" thin which is fine but it's barely there in terms of texture while eating. It more so seems like I'm eating a Italian flavored sandwich. The hot peppers are probably one of the best ingredients in this place. Other than that. The chips are pretty good. The jalapeño is probably one of the best I have had. And the BBQ isn't a slouch either. Long story short. When you go into a restaurant and you're more excited about the sides than the main course that's a problem. Happy fooding. read more

Stopped in to see the new location. It's in the Kroger Center in the strip between Double Daves and Specs. So glad they opened this location because it is only about 3 minutes from where I work. This will be my new go too for my fresh sandwich fix. Consistent quality that you would expect from Jimmy Johns was delivered by what seemed like a double or triple sized crew. This was our first visit to any Jimmy John's. We will not return, at least not to this location. The cashier taking our order must have been new but not fully trained. She didn't understand when we ordered from the menu board. I said I wanted an original size #7 double ham and provolone sub with lettuce only. She asked me what original meant and then she said a #7 is a club. I said I wanted the regular size, not the giant, and then said I wanted it on a sub roll. After asking me 3 times what I wanted on it (lettuce only!), she did the same thing with my husband who ordered a #9 without oil and vinegar. We also ordered 2 medium sodas. It took about 15 minutes to get our order to eat inside. My sandwich came with lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo (not lettuce only) and my husband's had the oil and vinegar that he didn't want. The bread on his sandwich was also torn. The Diet Coke tasted chemical, like chlorine in the water or ice. I couldn't drink it. We had to ask for napkins and then we had to ask for the sandwiches to be cut in half. But the sandwiches were good, although not nearly as good as Jersey Mike's. And the restrooms and eating area were clean with cute sayings on the walls and tables. After hearing how good and fast Jimmy John's is, we were sorely disappointed. read more

Wow. Almost had a perfect interaction. The employee was polite enough. Came in with my fiancé 15 minutes before close tonight. Should be enough time for a sandwich shop right? Apparently not because Mr. Cashier already had the drinks shut down even though he charged me for my cup and I had to ask for it to be turned back on. Called in a delivery and told them what school i was located. One hour later it had not been delivered. I called them and asked what had happened. They told me that my food was sent to another school and suggested that I go and pick it up there. When I said I was not going to do that they told me that they would bring it right over. 30 minutes later I got my food. My husband ran to this location on Thursday to grab lunch and what a mess! The two guys working were in an argument, one yelled a few choice words and walked out and drove away leaving the one guy who seemed under the influence of something there alone. He and a few others who had already paid waited for their sandwich but the employee was so out of it he said he could not make them and that he also couldn't reimburse them their money because he wasn't a manager. The ordering process in the beginning was bad enough when he first asked my husband "so do you want a burger or what?" Everyone ended up just having to leave without food and without their money. When my husband called today he was able to speak with the manage and get his money reimbursed. I would have thought something more should have been done to make sure my husband and the others want to return but they did not. Guess it's best anyway because there is no chance we will return to this location. So sad. read more

Their sandwiches are nothing to write home about. The problem is, considering how much Jimmy John's prides themselves on delivery and being "freaky fast", they don't deliver father than 1.03 miles to my house. I have successfully ordered for delivery from the Longmire location multiple times before, but the last time an order was placed for delivery, I was told they don't and have never delivered to my address. So aside from being indirectly called a liar, the manager was unconcerned when I explained that the Double Dave's right next door to her would deliver, as well as Potato Shack even farther from me. After her disregard for my comments, I told her that even though I frequent the area for lunch, I would take my business to the myriad restaurants at the same intersection (Cotton Patch, Double Dave's, Jack in the Box, Whataburger etc...). I went in today and order my sub with no veggies and they made it with veggies. I realized this once I got to my car so I went back into the store to have them make me a new one. So they started to take the veggies off and reuse everything on the sub to give it back to me. I asked them to please make me a new one. So they did but what happened next I can't believe they did this. So while one of them made my sub she had the other worker pick off the veggies and put them back in the containers for them to use. I can't believe they would do this and they didn't know if I touched the sub or not. I am grossed out and will never go to this place ever again.
